What do you do when you don't know anything about what you are or how to handle it?

[One minute, he was in the cage he'd been trapped in for months, listening to a conversation between the two men-- one of them was his captor, and another was-- his stomach lurched at the thought-- a potential buyer. He was selling him?! No way was he letting that happen. He'd already decided. He had to bust out, get the hell out of here and as far away from these people as possible.

But before any kind of plan could have come together, he woke up sprawled in a park near a jungle gym. He noticed an unbearable feeling, white-hot pain like fire in his veins and he let out a soft whimper. He blinks hard and pushes himself up to his knees. As he tries to blink his vision clear, he notices a tablet a couple feet from him. He crawls over to it and picks it up. After a couple minute of messing with it, he gets it to turn on. He can't hide the pained expression from his face when he reaches out to someone, anyone that will listen.]
