Sunday Morning Shuffle TITLE: Naked ARTIST: Nami Tamaki NOTES: J-Pop is one of my favorite types of music, mainly because it's so happy and bouncy all the time. It has a feeling you just don't find in most American/Euro pop songs anymore. LINK:http://rapidshare.com/files/90624036/09-Nami_Tamaki-Naked.mp3
TITLE: Reincarnation ARTIST: Kenji Kawai NOTES: The soundtrack for the anime movie Ghost in the Shell is an absolute masterpiece of minimalism, much like the anime itself. The adding on of musical layers, one piece at a time, is Kawai's trademark. LINK:http://rapidshare.com/files/90624625/10-Kenji_Kawai-Reincarnation.mp3
TITLE: Unite, Descent ARTIST: Kumi Tanioka NOTES: From the Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles soundtrack. I've never played the game (it was for GameCube or something like that?), but since I'm a Final Fantasy fanatic, I had to get the soundtrack anyways. It's quite good, cute with an edge. TITLE: Name ARTIST: Goo Goo Dolls NOTES: Way back in the mid-90's, Extreme Championship Wrestling was a little group running shows in a bingo parlor in Philadelphia. Besides the hardcore wrestling, the other thing they were most famous for at the time were some absolutely incredible promos. One character (who's name I can't remember now) who was normally a fool was part of a promo where he very seriously recited the "Scars are souvenirs you never loose" verse, which is how I best remember him and this song. TITLE: Elm ARTIST: Pierre Bensusan NOTES: A gorgeous acoustic guitar and vocal piece from one of the Cowboy Bebop soundtracks. If I'm remembering right, and I may not be (it's been a year or two since I've seen the series), I think this plays during the episode where they're chasing the killer who was trained to be an assassin as a child.
