Ever go to a drive up pharmacy window? I did this today for the first time at Meijer. This is a big chain of stores in the midwest of the USA.
I drive an HHR, it's a nice little car by general motors, a bit retro designed with a seat I can raise up so that I can see over the steering wheel. :D This was a big plus for my buying the car. Only problem, the window are set just a bit high.
So, pull up close to the building per standard proceedure, push call button with no difficulty. (didn't need to unbuckle my seat belt) and had to bellow to be heard through their speak, earning me varicose veins in my neck. Apparently the exterior microphone is not near the drawer, it is twelve inches forward...sort of behind my side view mirror. Pharmacy tech brings me the prescriptions and sends out their electronic signature device. I have to sign for one of the antibiotics for my dog. This is when being short became an adventure. I could not reach the silly pad and pen. I unbuckled my seat belt and stretched. I ended up leaning on the window by my waist because the car was too close to open the door. At this point, I am laughing my butt off and hoping security is enjoying the show. I managed to grab their pad/pen and signed for the medicine. I got things back in their drawer. It was a tight fit. Then came the fun of getting back into my seat, and buckling up.
Anyone else ever have this kind of fun and laugh so hard they couldn't get the seat belt latched on their first try?
