Tracey simply smiled at the girl. She could fight it all she wanted, but it was rare that Tracey didn't get her way. And this time, she was sure that she would. "Ignoring the fact that you're now suddenly not interested in men," Tracey said, trying not to shudder. That bit of information was embarrassing enough without the girl's new...partner...being a Weasley. "But something you should keep in mind before fighting me on this...."
Tracey turned away again, flipping some of her hair behind her shoulder, eyeing all of the boxes once more in the room. Salazar, she hoped Daphene wasn't planning on moving anywhere near Hogsmeade. "You see," she continued, "I'm in charge of what goes to the press about The Shoats. And that includes it's players," she said, turning back to Daphene. "I'd hate for something unfavorable about Weasley to get to the press. It doesn't take much to ruin a budding Quidditch career. Just look at Warrington..."
Tracey's intent hadn't exactly been to hurt Daphene (though the thought of hurting the littlest Weasel was exciting). But really, she was trying to protect Daph's family from even more bad press because of their daughter. They had been as close to a family as she had ever had, and she would do what it took to protect them and keep them where they wanted to be in society.
