Daphene frowned at the girl, lips pursed together. She searched for any reason Tracey would come all the way to nowhere, to an apartment so clearly out of her way. She couldn't find one. She wasn't an animal but that growl vibrated low in her throat, itching to get out. Leave it, she thought. Don't let the bitch get to you.
"Excuse me?" Her tone was low and angry, drifting out between her teeth as she glowered at the girl. She forced a sardonic smile. "I don't understand where you feel that you have any rights what so ever to tell me what to do, but this isn't going to happen Davis. Believe it or not, your hatred of me does nothing."
