Sean wasn't sure how long he'd been drinking for -- when the universe would tell him that it was long enough for acting on "you need to tell him" while drunk to sound like a viable option. He was ordinarily very good with words, but when it came to this? When it came to telling Dorian about his feelings? Not a chance in hell about it. So he was going to have to do something else, clearly. Still do something, but something nonetheless.
Letting him think alone in their room while drunk was possibly the worst idea in the history of bad ideas and that included letting him drink with Scorpius and Morag to begin with. He was just glad that truth potion seemed to have worn off by the time he'd wandered off on his own. All the same, he wasn't saying very much -- because he wouldn't have put it past the two of them to lie to him and say it had, just so he'd keep talking to Dorian and let things get said. They seemed sneaky enough like that.
Thinking had done him no good, which was probably why as soon as Dorian was coming in the door, Sean was on his feet and moving towards Dorian with a distinctly predatory look in his eyes. He had no idea how dark he looked, how determined. And it was good, because that meant he was too drunk to think about the details.
Thinking was overrated.
