Oliver Queen is tired of living on an island. (thehood) wrote in shipsahoy,
Oliver Queen was not a patient man. And he was a man who needed answers, but he wasn't getting them here. This ship was a mystery and not even Constantine could figure it out. And there were two Olivers, and he was apparently Earth 2 or 3 or who even knew anymore? He had learned that just about anything could be possible, and he didn't like it.
Oliver spent most of his time alone, brooding. He didn't get too involved in what was happening on the ship. He didn't even check the network all that often. He probably should have. But it was too painful. For him, it had been months since Darhk had murdered Felicity, John, and Thea. But Thea and Felicity were alive and well here, and from the other Oliver's earth. It wasn't fair, and Oliver did his best to avoid them.
At night, when he was sure most of the others were sleeping, he walked the ship in his gear. Usually nothing was going on that was out of the ordinary. Still, he felt it was his duty to keep the people safe. It gave him something to do, and he'd lost so much already. He was making his rounds when he heard her voice. It was Laurel, and something was horribly wrong.
He turned the hallway quickly, sprinting in the direction her voice had come from. When he reached her, he was horrified. Seeing Laurel like that...he just couldn't... He had lost the ability to speak for a moment. Oliver hit his knees and cried out in desperation. He had already lost so much. He couldn't lose Laurel too.
"It's gonna be okay." He finally said, kneeling behind her. He didn't mean it. How could he know if she would be okay or not? But he couldn't bear to tell her that these might be her final moments. No, no. Laurel was not going to die here. In an instant she was in his arms and he was flying through the ship practically, towards the med bay.
"You have to help her!" He barked orders at the ship doctors that he wasn't sure were entirely human. "Save her." He said gruffly, not wanting anyone to know who was under this hood. And then more softly, he added, "please."
