Yesterday afternoon, while the wizarding world was going about its business, Unspeakables in the Department of Mysteries were attempting to figure out exactly what they had done to cause a tear in the space/time continuum. The tear occurred during an experiment around 3pm, and is said to be more than 2 meters tall, and nearly a meter wide. The cause is still unknown. Perhaps the most interesting thing about the tear is that when it happened, people began to filter through. First just one, and then another, but soon they were coming about once every 10 or 15 minutes. At last count, there were over two hundred of these "visitors" now in our time. They are being taken to St. Mungo's to be checked out to make sure they are healthy, and the Ministry is working on housing for them. So far, they have been from the past, the future, and from different time lines, it seems; many have died or haven't been born yet. Still curious is the fact that a few are not supposed to exist, while a few others seem to have chosen different paths in life, including occupations and spouses. Interviews have been requested, both of Ministry officials and St. Mungo's Healers and of the guests themselves, but reporters are being denied at this time. More to come as this story progresses.
