Re: Sebastian and Hunter
"You're nice too," Hunter said with a big grin of his own and a little titter to his voice. It felt like there were a lot of things Sebastian wasn't saying and Hunter was just drunk and cocky enough to think he knew what they were anyway. I don't usually? Yeah, that definitely sounded like closet speak and he wanted to drag Sebastian home with him, even if it was just to talk about it somewhere away from prying ears. No, that was a lie, Hunter didn't think he'd want to do a whole lot of talking. Ignoring how pretty Sebastian's lips were would be easier if he was sober, but he was oh so not sober right now. "Thanks for cheering me tonight."
“Anytime,” Sebastian smiled, his eyes trying to convey how much he meant it. Anytime Hunter needed cheering up, he could call him. Hell, he should call him even if he didn’t need cheering up. He would call. He would definitely call. “Don’t forget to snap me?” Because otherwise he couldn’t call or text and then he’d be horribly sad. Oh god. He swayed towards Hunter, then caught himself and pulled back, licking his lips. He was drunk, but he wasn’t so drunk that he could kiss Hunter with so many people around, no matter how much he wanted to.
Hunter had wanted to tell him that he'd snap him but this was so much better. "Oh I will," he said softly and he could almost feel the way he was physically drawn to Sebastian, so tempted to lean in against him too. It was a good thing - or a bad thing, depending on how they'd look at it - that Greg showed up again, leaning heavily against Sebastian's back and swirling his drink at Hunter.
"Your girlfriend is fucking drama," Greg drawled. "I mean, your ex... Jesus. I did not bug Jasper but she still managed to like blow up all over the place and now they're fighting? I don't even know, it's crazy in here.""
Sebastian almost stepped right into Hunter when Greg flopped on his back, his hand shooting out to grab Hunter’s arm to catch his balance. “Jesus!” he muttered, then re-centered himself, his grip on Hunter loosening before he released him to glare at Greg. “My what? She’s what? Why? What happened?” he asked, then shot Hunter a look of apology. He couldn’t exactly do or say what he wanted, but this wasn’t exactly better.
"There was like a near-cat fight with Jules and Ruby right over there," Greg laughed and pointed over Hunter's shoulder. "Wow, you're drunk. Jesus. I thought I was drunk." Not that it had been a particularly noisy affair but it had been riveting and a little scary. Man, Greg did not want to even try to imagine which girl would win if they'd actually fought. He just knew girls fought dirty.
Hunter looked behind him, but of course it was all over and there was nothing to see. He might have worried, but he was too damn happy and warm-fuzzy inside to care at the moment so he just snickered at Sebastian. He'd been so preoccupied with flirting with Sebastian that he might not even have noticed if his poltergeist thing had come in and flipped tables and that was a good thing.
Sebastian also looked where Greg pointed, across the kitchen, but there was nothing to see at this point. He wondered to himself how he could’ve missed it, but he’d been more than a little distracted by Hunter. He almost argued that he wasn’t that drunk, but then he’d have to explain how he missed it, so it was better to roll with it. “Yeah, I’ve had a little bit,” he laughed, almost giggled as his eyes caught Hunter’s. “If it didn’t come to blows, I wouldn’t have noticed.”
"Hey, you're king again," Greg said as he noticed the crown and bopped it lightly with one finger. His attention span was fantastic this many drinks in and he was already moving away the moment he let out those words.
