Re: Sebastian and Hunter
Greg did indeed wander off, muttering something about his jacket and Hunter was glad for it. He vaguely remembered that Sebastian had meant to get himself water but who cared, drinking was fun and if he could drink more, so could Sebastian. "Hey, good game yesterday," he murmured while Sebastian mixed those drinks, his gaze on Sebastian's hands and what he was doing with them. "Forgot to say, I think." Had he said? It didn't matter, he was feeling warm and fuzzy and he wanted to tell Sebastian he was hot and cool, but he wasn't drunk enough to think that was a good idea so he might as well give him some other compliment. "You play offensive... Wide receiver, right?" Yes, he did pay attention even if it wasn't his sport. He might not play it, but he did enjoy watching and it wasn't only for the ridiculous homoerotic moments either.
Sebastian tried his best to focus on the drinks, though he was aware of Hunter standing right next to him, watching. It made him want to reach out, or bump his hip up against him, things he might do if he could. If his life was different. If he had the balls to change it. It hadn’t mattered before now, there’d been no reason to move forward, but now… he couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like. “Thanks,” he smiled, offering Hunter an Amaretto Sour before picking up his own. Everyone knew he played football, so he didn’t think a lot about it till Hunter named his position and his smile brightened. “Yeah, I do. Number fifteen. I was a little worried we were gonna get rained out, but-- but it was a good game. Do you play sports?”
"I did back in Portland," Hunter replied as he took his drink and then tasted it. It was good too and he wondered if the whole 'way to a man's heart is through his stomach' thing applied to alcohol too. "Track and swim team, I try to just work out now to keep in shape but yeah, kinda miss it." He had thought about joining some team - any team - in Point Pleasant, but the last weeks had been kind of weird and sports took the back seat to weird. He was about to say as much when a small hand slipped past him and took his cup away. When he turned to look he found Jen standing next to them, sampling his drink.
"Oh, hi," he said and wished everyone would leave them alone already. Even if Sebastian wasn't gay, he enjoyed talking to him. "You know my sister, Jen? Jen this is Sebastian."
“You should totally join,” Sebastian said. “And if you’re ever looking for someone to work out with, let me know.” It as a horrible idea. He knew it as soon as he said it. It wouldn’t be like with Greg. Greg could be half dressed and sweaty and Sebastian wouldn’t give him a second look. Hunter… Hunter would be a distraction. Of the best and worst sort. He didn’t notice Jen until she was taking the cup from Hunter’s hand and he blinked in confusion. Then he remembered. Someone had told him they were twins, but he’d never seen them together. “We haven’t met met, but we have History together,” he said giving her a little smile as he sipped at his drink, swaying just a little. “It’s a good place to take a nap.”
"Every place is a good place to take a nap," Jen said and it was only because Hunter knew her well enough that he could see she had a hint of a smile going. It was small enough to be easily missed, she seemed to always try to not smile, some feminist thing or something, Hunter didn't really understand it.
"You're driving, remember?" he told her as he took his cup back from her and smirked at before drinking. He wasn't trying to rub it in, or maybe he was a little bit. She'd interrupted, he was allowed to be a little annoyed. Especially since Sebastian had been talking about working out together and Jesus, did Hunter not need that image in his head right now.
"I just wanted to see what you were drinking," Jen said with a roll of her eyes and seeing as how she was sober and not much of a party animal anyway she was beyond ready to go. Her brother was the only reason she was staying and only because he'd been so damn miserable all week. "Let me know when you're ready to go," she said and tugged on the hood of Hunter's sweater. "Later, Bastian."
