She didn't need to ask Nicole if she remembered her. They were both grown women now, but Jane had recognized Nicole, and she had to assume Nicole had recognized her. They had been separated quite a bit in the institute, but you couldn't go through what they went through together and not be inherently bound to one another somehow. Some people wanted to ignore it, pretend it didn't exist, but it did.
Jane wrapped both hands around her coffee cup. There was very little heat left from the coffee. Jane looked at Nicole then, a small smile playing at her lips. "No, I couldn't sleep. Bad dreams." She glanced back at the hospital for a brief moment. "You're a doctor." It wasn't really a question, as it was quite obvious what she was. Jane found that interesting, given what "doctors" they had dealt with as children. "How is that working out for you?"
