Re: Caden & Shan
She slipped off the desk and tugged her clothes back into place, rather enjoying the hot stickiness in her panties for the moment. As long as they didn’t stay long enough for it to stop being sexy and start feeling gross, she was happy for the reminder. Now she wanted to officially meet Roxy, but Shan knew that likely wouldn’t happen. It was best for them all to ignore each other to keep the peace. “It’s your family,” Shan answered with a soft laugh. “You tell me. Are they gonna pout about it if we do?” The Lucases didn’t seem like pouters, and she was sure they all knew just how much Caden didn’t enjoy stuff like this, but family dynamics could be weird and unpredictable. It wasn’t really her problem, so it was up to Caden how much bullshit he wanted to put up with later. Shan smoothed her hair and dress out and stepped over to the door to put an ear to it. Nobody seemed to be out in the hallway, thankfully.
Caden snickered. "If anyone in my family pouts, it's Kat and I doubt she'd notice." Once he was sure he was put back together, Caden joined Shan at the door and nudged her out of the way to open it, not really caring if anyone was out there or not. "Let's have another drink then get out of here." He didn't want to admit it, but having the entire family in one place, including his mother and Mila and Roxy and her new guy... Caden wasn't sure how the universe hadn't imploded yet. There were so many secrets simmering and everyone pretending things were happy and normal bothered him. He needed another whiskey for sure.
