Re: Caden & Shan
Shan accepted her wineglass with a smile and a soft thanks, then let Caden pull her away from the bar, excited and amused. Their chemistry plus the wine plus how goddamn good Caden looked in a suit plus all the attention she’d been getting had all combined to make her pretty damn horny, so she hoped they could find an open closet or something. It just thrilled her that he wasn’t boring and annoying about it, trying to put her off until later. Caden was just as much of a freak as she was. “The answer to the question ‘are people stupid’ is always yes,” she said as she followed along, her heels clicking against the floor. It was much quieter outside of the reception room, but that was okay too, it just meant she didn’t really need to watch her volume. As they started to pass a few doors in the hallway, Shan let go of Caden’s hand to try to open them. Locked ... locked ...
Well, she was right about that. The population as a whole was lacking intelligence, that was for damn sure. He liked getting away from the reception though, aware that Gavin would likely not start looking for him. As long as punches weren't being thrown, his brother would leave him alone. Too focused on making sure Aaron's day went smoothly to really even enjoy himself. That was Gavin. Caden drank his whiskey as they tried various rooms, finding most of them locked. Maybe the employees here weren't as idiotic as he'd hoped. Then he tried one of the silver knobs and pushed it open with ease. It looked like some kind of maintenance office, with a shitty looking desk, various filing cabinets and posters of the marina tacked up along the wall. The calendar near the door still had last year's dates. Caden chuckled and tugged Shan inside. "Romantic enough for you?"
It was the kind of place where someone might come in at any moment, and that was perfect. Shan’s heart was already racing. “Is that what we were going for?” she asked with a snicker. She made sure to close and lock the door behind them, which would only slow down anyone with a key for a few seconds, but that was more than they would have otherwise. Shan tipped her glass up to drain the rest of the wine out of it, then set it down on the desk and crowded in close to Caden. She ran her fingers down the lapels of his jacket before she gripped them to pull him in a little bit. “You’ve been so good,” she purred, sliding one hand down to cup Caden’s junk through those fine pants. “Not looking at her. It makes me wanna fuck your brains out.” There was no question he would know who she was talking about, even if he didn’t like the reminder. Shan wanted him to know she was watching, and she gave a shit. It didn’t matter how long they’d known each other and the way they got together -- for now, Caden belonged to her.
Caden really didn't want to talk about Roxy at the moment, but he knew this wasn't exactly going to be a conversation. It was just Shan getting off on being possessive, which was just fine with Caden. He set his glass down on the desk to free up both hands. His cock stirred beneath her touch. He'd already been half-hard looking for a place like this to fool around in, and now he could smell her perfume, and there was plenty of bare skin for him to grope and run his hands over, which he began to do as he hummed deep in his throat. "I don't know who you're talkin' about," Caden said with a faint smirk. "Only person I could focus on all day was you." See? He could be nice or flirtatious or whatever the fuck women expected from men.
That was the perfect answer and it drew a throaty laugh of approval out of Shan. Her head was just the right level of spinny and light, it made her feel amazingly hot and bold, and having Caden’s hands on her cleavage was a delight. He was never overly gentle with her, and she liked that. “Good,” she murmured. “Because if you ever cheat on me ...” Shan gave his balls a tight squeeze, letting that communicate the rest of her sentence. She knew Caden wasn’t a man who appreciated being threatened, but it felt hot and possessive in the moment, and she would cut his balls off if he fucked someone else. Shan wasn’t there to be a minor side character in his life. Shan brushed their lips together.
