Who: Diego and Oliver
When: Evening, Friday, July 20th
Where: The Lighthouse, then home
Warning: Turns NSFW
It was a rare Friday night when Oliver didn’t have to work, and he wanted to take advantage of it by spending time with Diego. It was warm outside, but nothing they couldn’t tolerate. Haisley was off with some friends, so he and Diego went to dinner alone. As much as he enjoyed spending time with their pseudo-daughter, he was glad to have some time with Diego where it was just the two of them. Oliver was getting used to sharing Diego with other people, but every now and then, he craved those moments when it was just them against the world.
After dinner, Oliver drove them to the lighthouse. He’d been told that it was a gorgeous view during sunset and though they had been living in Point Pleasant for some time now, Oliver had never actually explored the area, despite how popular it seemed to be. He parked in the tiny parking lot and looked over at Diego with a raised brow and a faint smile playing on his lips.
“You up for some exercise?” The stairs went uphill and were a bit winding even before they reached the lighthouse, but Oliver felt like it would be worth it.
Diego was always thrilled to have a date night, especially on an actual weekend evening. Usually Oliver had to work, so he was jazzed to take advantage of the opportunity too. He’d put some stuff in his hair to hold the waves and put on a nice shirt and everything. Dinner had been nice, giving them the chance to really catch up, just the two of them. Diego adored Haisley too and he felt like she made their family complete, but sometimes the two of them did need time to themselves.
The ride to the lighthouse was nice, windows down and the sun low on the horizon. Oliver always looked stunningly gorgeous in that late sunlight, and Diego enjoyed just gazing at him while he drove. He grinned once they were parked and Oliver met his gaze, nodding as he reached for the door. “There are more fun ways to get me all sweaty, you know,” he teased, giving his man a wink. Diego chuckled and moved to climb out of the car. He knew the climb would be worth it ... especially if he made it easier on them.
Oliver grinned and locked the car behind them as they headed for the stairs. "Yeah, that part hopefully comes later." He knew it would be a pain to walk up all these stairs, but they were both in pretty good shape and Diego had that whole gravity control thing. Plus, he knew it would be worth it to get to the top and see the sunset. "We've just been here so long that I was realizing there are parts of the town we still haven't seen yet. Which is shocking, considering how small the place is." Oliver flashed another smile at Diego. "If you want to just fly up to the top and wait for me, I'd totally get it."
Diego fell into step beside him and slipped his hand into Oliver’s. He gave an amused snort at the last part and squeezed his hand. “Like I would leave you behind.” Whether it was moving forward in their lives or just going up some stairs, Diego had zero plans to leave Oliver in his dust, no matter what was going on, and he hoped his lover knew that. They were ride or die, bonded deeper than most other people could even understand. Once they were inside the lighthouse and had climbed a couple of steps, Diego flexed his power to lighten the gravity in a radius around them, so what would’ve become a trudge up the wrought iron spiral staircase turned into an easy-breezy sort of moon bounce. Grinning, Diego pulled Oliver to climb faster, bounding up two and then three steps at a time as he tittered.
Oliver knew Diego would never leave. He had gone through bouts of insecurity when Diego began making friends - handsome friends - but he had quickly learned that was ridiculous. Diego deserved happiness of all kinds, not just happiness with him and he was grateful that Diego had found people. At the end of the day, Oliver knew the person Diego wanted to be with was him. "I feel like we're in a bounce house," Oliver said, aware that nothing would happen but still a bit shaky the further up they ascended. He wasn't afraid of heights, but still! Even so, Diego's enthusiasm was contagious and while he was maybe a little sweaty by the time they reached the top, he was feeling too good to care much. Walking out onto the gallery, Oliver noticed they were alone. Even better. There was a slight breeze ruffling his hair and he took a breath, gazing out over the ocean and parts of the town. "Not bad, yeah?"
He could have just floated them up, but bounce-housing their way up the stairs was fun too, and a tiny bit less obvious if someone happened to see them. Maybe they were just in great shape, they’d put their time in on the Stairmasters, right? But there was no one around, and they had the top of the lighthouse to themselves, it seemed. Diego moved in close to Oliver, slipping an arm around his waist and gazing at him for a beat before he looked at the outside view. “Not bad at all,” Diego murmured. It was a weird town, often in a dangerous way, but it was really feeling like home lately. He knew the people they’d met here and gotten attached to were the big reason for that, but there was another sort of draw here, one that Diego couldn’t really explain. He just liked it better than most other places they’d stayed. Plus, what a fucking view. “Pretty damn good, even.”
"Someone at the hospital told me the lighthouse was haunted," Oliver said, amused. "But I didn't see any ghosts, did you?" As far as his colleagues were concerned, everything in Point Pleasant was haunted. He moved to the iron railing of the gallery to briefly glance down. But the view of the ocean and sky and Diego was much more pleasant. Sighing contently, Oliver smiled at Diego, leaning against the railing. "It's a decision I want us to make together, but I noticed some houses for sale in town. A few I think we could afford too. I think we're outgrowing Seaview. What do you think?"
Heights didn’t bother Diego in the slightest, and his gaze lingered on the downward view for a moment until Oliver spoke again. He looked up with surprise, his mouth slack for a beat before he broke out into a grin. “Oh yeah?” he asked, shifting in closer, obviously extremely pleased with the idea. Diego draped his arms around Oliver’s shoulders. “I think that’s an amazing idea.” Buying a house was more of a commitment to a place than they’d ever made before. It had been a dream of theirs, something to murmur about with quiet hope before they fell asleep. Diego hadn’t been sure it would ever happen, but he couldn’t deny that it felt right here. This was their place. “Where have you seen them? Anything catch your eye yet?”
Buying a home was a dream that felt out of reach for a long time. Not only because of their lack of finances, but their lack of stability. Not to mention Diego not having a proper identity. But now he did and Oliver had a good, steady job. Point Pleasant was a beautiful town but in his research he had learned the homes weren't overpriced, if anything, they went below market value because of the town's history and reputation. "There's one for sale on Mulberry and two on Sycamore. But there's this... I think it's a Cape Cod style on White Pine that's... pretty much perfect. Two stories, three bedrooms, two and a half bath. It's got a screened-in porch and deck out back... really nice kitchen." Oliver licked his lips, realizing he had probably given away a bit more than he meant to. He grimaced slightly and then smiled, slipping his hands onto Diego's waist. "I... may have already looked at it. Something about it was calling to me, sort of like how you did when we met. We could go see it again together."
Somehow Diego wasn’t really surprised that Oliver had already scouted a place out that he liked. When he got it in his head that he wanted to do something, it usually didn’t take him forever to act on it. Diego tittered a little as his man moved in closer, amused by the half-sheepish look on his face. He was obviously proud of himself too though, and Diego believed him when he said he’d found the perfect place. He couldn’t even imagine looking at a place Oliver loved and not loving it himself too. “Yes, anytime. I want to see it like, yesterday,” he said with a face-splitting grin. Haisley was going to love the idea too, he was already positive. Their place fit all of them, but it was a little on the uncomfortable side of cozy -- to have a three bedroom, two story place ... it sounded amazing. “And you’re sure you like it here enough?” he asked, his eyes ticking between Oliver’s. “You want to stay?”
Oliver had a feeling Diego would ask that question, once he brought up the idea of buying a place. If things went south, they could still leave, but a home made it more difficult. Even so, Oliver was feeling more at ease in Point Pleasant, and with the people Diego had befriended. AIR was still a threat, but they weren't alone in that fight anymore. "I like it here a lot," he said, after a moment. "And it feels... right... to stay. I'm still worried, you know that, but we're not alone, you know? And Haisley... I don't want to have to drag her around the country like we had to do." The sun was setting now and a small contented sigh escaped him. "I know you're happy here. And I'm happy being wherever you are. So... if you want to stay, I want to stay."
Diego was happy here, almost bizarrely happy considering the bad stuff that kept happening and he and Oliver continued to hear about. Still, it felt right to him too, and that was what mattered most to Diego. He let out a little noise of happiness and squeezed Oliver tight, the gravity under both of their feet easing up enough that they were as buoyant as Diego currently felt. It didn’t last long though, as he was aware of the railing and the drop beyond it -- neither of them were in any real danger from heights with Diego around, but it was still a human instinct to be cautious of. He pulled back enough to kiss Oliver soundly on the mouth, thrilled with the idea of them having a nice home with their adopted daughter and their new friends and maybe even a dog! “I love you,” he murmured, grinning faintly against Oliver’s mouth. “And yeah, I want to stay.”
He knew Diego would want to stay. He had made some friends here and of course, this is where they had found Haisley. Oliver didn't know much about what Haisley did in her free time, which of course carried some guilt, but she was young enough that he knew moving her out of Point Pleasant right now would probably upset her. Maybe fate had led them here and this was where he and Diego were meant to be all along. "I love you too," Oliver said with a smile against Diego's lips. There was really nothing like making his man happy and Diego deserved that more than anyone else he knew. "There's one more thing," he said, slipping a hand into the back pocket of his jeans to pull out the black tungsten ring he had bought a couple of weeks back. Small black sapphires dotted the entire perimeter of the band, which he thought suited Diego better than any flashy gold ring would have. It felt like the right time now to give it to him, with the sun setting and their future more or less guaranteed in this town. Not to mention they had the papers Shane had gotten for them, giving them the ability to be exactly who they wanted to be without fear of getting caught or questions. "I know it's not something we've ever needed to know that we're committed to each other, but... I think I've wanted to marry you since we met." Oliver cocked a brow with a smile still playing at his lips. "I love you, Diego. Will you marry me?"
Diego had half-expected Oliver to pull out the keys to the house he’d already signed papers on, but what turned up in his fingers was even better. His eyes went wide and he gasped -- even if it wasn’t a huge shock, it was definitely a surprise. Diego had wanted his life entwined with Oliver’s since the moment they’d met too, he’d just never dreamed in those early days that this would be possible. A proposal high up in the air, with the beautiful ocean and sunset as their backdrop, and so much adoration in Oliver’s eyes. The romance of the moment made it a little hard to breathe, and his face already hurt from grinning so hard. He bounced on the balls of his feet for a second and gripped Oliver’s shoulders, speechless with joy for a handful of seconds. “Yes of course, of course I’ll marry you, ohmygod, I love you!” he exclaimed when he caught his breath. Diego kissed Oliver again, and then a few more times before he pulled back and offered his left hand for that ring.
Oliver had no doubt whatsoever that Diego would say yes but he still let out a small breath of relief when Diego confirmed it. Feeling his heart race, he happily slipped the ring onto Diego's finger, pleased with himself that he had gotten the ring size correct. Then he drew Diego close to kiss him again. The sun had set fairly quickly and dusk was settling in. He knew he ought to hurry them back down the stairs and to the car before it got too dark, but he felt reluctant to end the moment so soon. "We can do it whenever you want," he murmured against Diego's mouth. "Tomorrow, next week, next year... wedding, no wedding... anything you want."
He didn’t care about the dark, or the stairs, or really anything else but the man in front of him. Diego gave a delighted sort of groan and squeezed Oliver harder. “How about, right here, right now? Bring us a priest,” he said, then tittered. “No, we will do anything we want, we’ll figure it out together.” That was what they’d always done, and Diego knew they would do it with this too. He’d given a bit of thought to what kind of wedding he wanted, since Shane had brought it up a while back, and the only solid thing he could settle on was that he wanted it to be theirs. It would be small by necessity, they didn’t know a lot of people, but Diego wanted it to be as personal as they could make it.
Oliver chuckled, the image of snapping his fingers and a priest appearing amusing. There would be worse places to get married, that was for sure. "We'll figure it out together," Oliver agreed, pressing another kiss to Diego's lips. He reached up to run his hands through Diego's thick hair, feeling lighter and happier than he had in a long time. Not that he was ever unhappy with Diego, but worry and stress could take a toll on a person. He had been living with those two things for most of his life, but now? Now it felt like some of it was easing up, that he and Diego could have a real life here. He just hoped the rug wouldn't be yanked from beneath their feet. "Want to go home and celebrate?" he asked, cocking a dark brow, a smile playing at his lips.
Oliver’s happiness was palpable, and it only amplified Diego’s. He’d known for forever that his man carried more stress than he did -- Oliver had been their main provider for all of their lives together, working hard and taking care of all the ‘adult’ things that Diego didn’t understand. He’d learned a lot over the years and pitched in where he could, but there was still a lot out there that just baffled him sometimes. But now he had a new name to use, an identity he could get a job under, more ways to contribute. He was determined to make this their home now that he knew for sure that Oliver was on board. He grinned and kissed Oliver another couple of times before he nodded. “You know I’m going to suck the soul from your body, right my love?” Diego murmured warmly, snagging Oliver’s hand to stay close to him on their way down the spiral stairs again.
"Is that right?" Oliver laughed and followed Diego down the spiral steps. "You tell me things like that and I don't know how I'll make it home without passing out from anticipation." The nice thing about small towns is that it didn't take very long to get from one end to the other and Seaview wasn't terribly far. The lighthouse was darker now, so he was careful about where he was stepping. The last thing he wanted tonight was to trip and sprain or break something and ruin the moment. It was a little spooky on the stairs at night, but the entire town was a bit spooky and Oliver wasn't exactly scared. Maybe that meant he was getting used to thinking of this place as home.
“Mm, you just pull over if you feel dizzy and I’ll take care of you in the car,” Diego purred, glancing up at his man, completely unmindful of any danger from the stairs. He’d never been injured in a fall, his gravitational reflexes were too good, so it rarely occurred to him to worry about heights. All he cared about at the moment was flirting with his man -- his fiancée! The only man he would ever give a roadside blowjob to. Diego wasn’t flexing his power any, but he still felt light and floaty as they reached the bottom of the steps. It took willpower not to grab him and get things started right then and there, he was so happy, but he could be a mature adult and let them get home ... he was pretty sure he could, anyway.
Oliver grinned, not at all minding the image that put into his head. And seeing Diego so happy made Oliver happy. He had spent the majority of his life wanting to give Diego the kind of life he deserved and now he could do that. Before they got to the door leading out of the lighthouse, Oliver tugged Diego's hand to stop him, pulling him close and slipping a hand behind the nape of Diego's neck. Pulling him in for a kiss, Oliver tried to convey every emotion he was feeling at the moment. "I love you," he murmured against Diego's lips. He had already said so plenty of times this evening but it felt right to say it again... and again.
Oliver was certainly not helping Diego’s efforts to behave until they were home, kissing him like that. All of his insides felt hot and melty, and the two of them were so in tune that he definitely felt those loving vibes that his man was projecting. Diego slid his arms around Oliver’s body to hold him close as he kissed him back, deep and hungry. It all made his chest ache in such a nice way. Oliver had always had a talent for that, but tonight felt extra special. “I love you, mi corazón, more than anything,” Diego whispered back to him, nuzzling their noses together. Oliver was everything to him, he would’ve been dead long ago without him, without having ever experienced this kind of bliss. What a shame that would have been. Diego pressed his fingers into Oliver’s back to squeeze him a bit. “Take me home, future husband.” He grinned.
Oliver had no idea where his life would have led had he never met Diego, but Oliver knew no path would have been this fulfilling. They had been through so much together, but Oliver wouldn't have traded it for the world. Smiling, Oliver pressed another quick kiss to Diego's lips before taking his hand to walk with him out into the night and down the stairs to the parking lot. It was warm and breezy, the steps dimly lit by the occasional overhead lamp. "Oh, I forgot to mention... ah, Haisley already knows. She and I talked about it before I bought the ring. I'm quite stunned he didn't let it slip. She's not very good at keeping secrets," he admitted with a soft laugh. "So she'll be thrilled to know I finally did it."
Diego gave a gasp and then laughed. “That sneaky little girl,” he said, amused. It made him weirdly giddy that the two of them had conspired on his behalf like that. He wondered if Oliver had asked Haisley for advice on how to propose or just asked what she thought about it. He wanted to go back in time and be a fly on the wall for that conversation. “Did you show it to her already?” he asked, lifting his left hand to examine the way the dark stones glittered in the faint light as they walked. Diego loved it so much, he couldn’t even come up with the words for it. “I’m impressed too, I don’t think I could have kept it to myself either.” He chuckled and squeezed Oliver’s hand. “Maybe now we can look into really adopting her, you know? Once we have the official papers.”
"She's seen it, yeah." Oliver chuckled, remembering Haisley's reaction to the ring once Oliver had finally bought it and brought it home. "I was nervous about it but she promised me that you'd love it. I think she knows your taste better than I do." He squeezed Diego's hand. "But yeah, I was thinking about the adoption too, if we could make it official. There's so much she needs. Proper schooling, for one. I was thinking of finding a private tutor to get her caught up. I don't think throwing her into high school right now would be very wise." He looked at Diego for affirmation. As much as he loved Haisley, Oliver knew she and Diego had a different kind of bond and Diego was likely to know what she needed better than Oliver would.
Diego was already shaking his head when Oliver looked at him -- he agreed that being plunged straight into a normal high school after what she’d been through wouldn’t be good for Haisley. She needed to catch up academically, and she needed to get a good handle on her power. Diego gave a soft laugh. “Now I am trying to imagine her surrounded by a bunch of horny, angry teenagers ... she needs more practice at control, more socialization. You’re right, a private tutor would be best, at least for a while. Remember how stupid I was?” He groan-laughed a bit and squeezed Oliver’s hand again. “There’s so much for her to learn. ... Not about taste in rings though, because I love it.” Diego flashed him a bright smile. He kissed the back of Oliver’s hand before letting him go so they could climb into the car.
Oliver was glad that Diego had agreed with him. He could only imagine Haisley attempting to acclimate to high school when she had been taken away from her home at nine years old. She was a smart kid in so many ways, but it still broke his heart when she seemed confused about something most kids her age had learned years ago. Oliver did his best to tutor her himself, but he knew he was woefully underqualified for it. "You were not stupid. You were one of the smartest people I met. Intelligence doesn't always require book smarts." He slipped into the car and flashed Diego a smile. "Besides, you're teaching her a hell of a lot more than I ever could. About the important stuff, anyway. Sometimes, living like this... makes me think stuff like algebra isn't all that necessary. I'd rather she know how to protect herself."
He settled into the seat and let his head fall back against the rest, a warm little smile on his face. “She will definitely know that,” Diego said, sounding confident about that. If AIR taught Haisley anything of use, it was how to defend herself. Her power was quite different from his own, but Diego knew she could do amazing things with it, manipulate people to get out of situations, turn them on themselves. It was pretty amazing, honestly. “She needs the algebra too, though. At least some of it, to feel normal in the world. That’s important for people like us.” Oliver may not have experienced it directly himself, but he saw the way Diego struggled to adapt to life outside the facility, how clueless he was about so many things and how upsetting it could be. Haisley was younger, and she had more of a chance to catch up before she went out to be an adult in the world. Diego wanted to give her as many tools to do that and have a good life as they could.
"Then we'll definitely need a tutor... I've never been that great at math," Oliver admitted with a laugh. "It was always my worst subject in school." He reached over to take Diego's hand to hold while they drove home. As much as he'd grown used to it just being he and Diego against the world, Haisley's presence had added an extra something to their home, even if she could be a bit moody sometimes. But he knew that was just how teenagers could be. Who knew where she would be now if Diego hadn't found her. "She's been picking up on Spanish pretty quick too. We may have to start watching what we say around her."
Diego didn’t know that Haisley would need algebra specifically, but if she could get the general basics down of what she’d missed in school, he knew she would feel a lot more confident in herself out in the world. There had been so much that Diego hadn’t known and had trouble understanding when Oliver had freed him. His lover had done everything he could to acclimate Diego to society, but no one person could cover everything. They needed to get an origin story nailed down for Haisley and get her a tutor, like Oliver said. He had a lot of hope for the girl. Now that she had them, they were going to make sure she got as adjusted as she could for real life. Oliver’s warning made Diego chuckle and he squeezed his fingers. “She’s too smart for our own good,” he mused with a little grin. He moved his knuckles to pinch teasingly at the side of Oliver’s thigh. “You’ve just got to stop being such a pervert.”
Oliver chuckled and shot Diego a look. "There's a phrase about calling a kettle black, my love. I still blush when I think about some of the things you've said to me before." It was easier to flirt in Spanish around Haisley, but it would also be nice once she could communicate with them the same way. Not all the time, obviously, but it meant a lot to him and Diego that she was trying. "I suppose one silver lining to Haisley growing up the way she did is she hasn't been raised to think sexual intimacy is... a bad thing... or a sin. Obviously, we want her to be safe and not get taken advantage of, but it doesn't seem to bother her when we kiss in front of her."
He let out a gleeful giggle at being called out, never ashamed of expressing the passion between them. Diego loved him with every fiber of his being, and he wanted him pretty much all the time. He was glad that Haisley knew it too, for the same reasons Oliver was talking about. It was good for her to see that love really existed in the world, and that even people who’d been through what they’d been through could make it last. What he and Oliver had was special, but it had still taken work over the years. “A small silver lining, but yes, it’s a good start,” he said. “And we have talked about safety already. I don’t know if she’s met anyone she’s interested in yet ...” Given the way Haisley’s power worked, she had another reason to appreciate their love for each other, and he wondered a little if that changed her natural desires any, if she felt that same sort of satisfaction another way. “We’re a good model for her,” he murmured, letting his head fall back against the seat. “I want her to find love someday and know what she’s looking at.”
That was part of why Oliver thought Diego made a pretty fine father. He thought with his heart, whereas Oliver tried to see things with his mind. Haisley needed both. "You're a good dad," Oliver murmured, bringing Diego's fingers back up to his mouth to kiss. "She has a lot to learn about... well, everything. But we'll help her and keep her safe. And when she finds someone she loves, we'll try to keep an open mind." He chuckled, mostly joking. It was hard to imagine Haisley truly interested in someone else. She was so... innocent? Naive? But she was a teenager and teenagers had hormones. For all they knew she had a boyfriend or girlfriend now and just hadn't told them.
“Aw,” Diego cooed, touched by the compliment as he looked over at his lover. Fiancé now! It made Diego feel all fluttery and bubbly inside, and he brushed his thumb against Oliver’s cheek while his hand was lifted. “You’re a wonderful father too, my love,” Diego told him in their mother tongue. “I don’t know if it’s anything you ever wanted for yourself, but I’m glad we have it now.” He hadn’t had much room to dream about being a father himself, considering how his life had started out, and then how it had continued ... as soon as he’d learned anything about the real world, he’d known that people like them could never be approved to adopt a child. But now they were in a much better place, and Haisley had come along at just the right time, and he knew they both loved her. “We’ll have to learn to be scary when she brings a boy home,” he went on, amused. “Give me your best disapproving father frown.”
Oliver honestly never thought much about having kids. He hadn't even thought he'd ever be in love until he met Diego, and then their lives were so unpredictable up until they ended up here. Even now, things felt more secure but the future was still a little uncertain. "I'm glad we have it now too," he said. And he meant it. Haisley was good for Diego, and vice versa. Trying to stifle a grin, Oliver attempted to scowl at Diego. "How's that?" he asked, looking properly grumpy. "And we talk in rapid Spanish, so we scare them even more."
Diego laughed and slapped his free hand against his knee. His man was stupidly handsome, but he could definitely look like a grump when he wanted to, and in this context Diego found it hilarious. He could just picture that scowl and furrowed brow chasing away some timid young man who’d come around to court their daughter. “Yes! Perfect, that’s our plan,” he said with a bright grin. “We just can’t warn Haisley or she will never bring anyone home.” As amusing as he found the idea of scaring off some horny teenager, he did want Haisley to be socialized and have connections with her peers if she wanted them, even the male ones. She was far stronger than anyone likely gave her credit for. Still smiling hard, Diego wiggled their joined hands around a bit. “When do you want to get married? Do you want a big wedding?”
That was probably true. He didn't want to scare Haisley off from bringing people home, especially once they got a slightly bigger place to live. Oliver knew he and Diego would definitely like to know the kind of people she was hanging out with, and potentially dating. Diego's question erased the faux grumpiness from his face, replaced by a smile. "Well, I don't know if we know enough people for a big wedding. But we can certainly invite the people we do know and care about. I haven't really given a date much thought, I was too worried about what ring to get and when to ask you..." He glanced at Diego, his brow lifting. "When do you want to get married?"
Diego knew they weren’t going to pack a church with people who were thrilled for them or anything, but he didn’t want to assume that Oliver really wanted all of the AIR people they’d met to attend something so personal. His man was private by nature, and Diego wouldn’t have minded something very small with just them and Haisley and maybe a couple other witnesses ... but if they could make it a party? Diego was even more game for that. “Soon,” he answered immediately, rubbing his thumb over Oliver’s knuckles. “As soon as we can put it together. We deserve as good of a party as we can make it, you know? So I want it to be fun. Not in a church. Unless you really want it.” Their church options in this town were limited, and Diego didn’t want to risk having some idiot judging them over their special day.
Oliver shook his head. He'd long since given up religion and it didn't feel right to get married in a church that wasn't likely to support their union anyway. "No church," he said, his gaze back on the road ahead. "We could get married outside... wait for the leaves to start changing and do it in the fall. Or if you want it sooner than that, maybe on the beach? Honestly, I'd marry you in our living room. And we can invite anyone you want. Big wedding, little wedding... I'll be happy with anything." Diego certainly had more friends than Oliver did. "Maybe we can ask one of the natives the best places to get married. You think Shane would know?"
Even though it was late July, fall felt like it was too far away. There was the whole nasty AIR business to take care of very soon, and Diego knew some of them might not make it out of that alive. Did he want to die not married to the love of his life? No, he did not. Diego smiled brightly again at the thought of getting married in their living room, but when Oliver mentioned Shane, another idea popped into his head. “I can ask -- but hey! They have an incredible living room -- Shane and Reza, at their big house up on the hill,” he said. “And their outside is really pretty too ... maybe we can have the wedding there? Not have to pay to rent anyplace? I bet they’d do it, too.” Diego felt like they were the closest friends he had in this place, besides Oliver and Haisley of course, and they had a nice big mansion that wasn’t completely theirs ... why not use it for a celebration, right?
Shane's house. Oliver's brows furrowed in thought before he gave an approving shrug. "Yeah, it's a nice place. If you want to ask him... I don't want to impose or anything like that, though." Shane seemed like the kind of guy who enjoyed a party so Oliver doubted he would say no. Pulling into Seaview, Oliver glanced at Diego again. "Make sure he knows we'll pay for everything." It wouldn't be extravagant or anything, but Oliver wanted to make sure he and Diego did the majority of wedding planning and expense on their own.
Diego also doubted that Shane would say no, and he was already giddy at the prospect of planning a wedding in a mansion. He would have been happy just going to the courthouse and walking out of it married to Oliver, but if they could make it nice and beautiful with tasty food and friends, Diego wanted that. “Of course, of course,” he replied, grinning and waving a hand like that was a given. Shane might try to insist, but he would just have to insist right back. As soon as Oliver had parked the car, he leaned over to smooch at his cheek. “No matter how we do it, I can’t wait to marry you,” he murmured close to Oliver’s ear, brushing a hand over his chest.
That was exactly how he felt. He would marry Diego right there in the car, if it were possible. "Me too." After pressing a kiss to Diego's lips, Oliver turned off the car to get out. It was dark now that the sun had set, but the weather was still warm and comfortable and he was pleased with how the evening had gone. He came around the car and took Diego's hand to walk with him up to their front door. The porch light was on, but that was it, which told Oliver that Haisley was still out. "Think we can get in an adequate celebration before Haisley comes home?" he murmured to Diego, squeezing his hand before starting to unlock the door.
He was more than happy to hold his fiance’s hand as they walked up to their front door. Diego could feel the warm weight of the ring on his finger and he already loved it, like a constant physical reminder that Oliver loved him and wanted to keep him forever. He’d known that in his head already, of course, but it was nice to feel it in a different way too. Diego laughed lightly and reached to grope Oliver’s ass a bit, crowding him lovingly while he let them into the house. “I bet we can do better than ‘adequate,’ mi amor,” he murmured through his grin. As soon as they were inside and the door was closed behind them, Diego pulled him in for a more solid kiss. He didn’t know how much private time they really had, but they would make the most of it.
Oliver had barely managed a smile before Diego's lips were on his and his own immediately parted to deepen the kiss. His hands slipped around his man's waist, tugging him even closer. There was never a moment where he wasn't happy with Diego, but today felt like happiness intensified. They could actually get married now without people coming after them and maybe soon after, Haisley would officially be a part of the family. It was everything Oliver hadn't really realized he wanted, but now that it was within reach, he was desperate for it. Just as he was desperate for Diego and Oliver felt his blood starting to pump hotly through his veins as he began to slip his hands beneath Diego's shirt to touch his skin.
Diego loved feeling like Oliver couldn’t wait to get hands on him -- he was such a hard-working, responsible man, almost always rational and calm ... Diego loved to draw the passion out, to make his man lose his head a little. It was hot. He wrapped his arms around Oliver’s shoulders and hummed his approval into the kiss, his own chest all bubbly and excited for their future. They were going to fully be a family, actually on paper and legally, and he couldn’t wait. After he’d gotten a deep taste of Oliver’s mouth, Diego pulled back and gave him a lazy grin. “Bedroom,” he murmured, not making it a question. He grabbed Oliver’s hand and moved away to pull him along in that direction. Maybe they had a lot of time, but he still didn’t want Haisley to catch them in a compromising position in the living room.
There wasn’t a moment of his day where Oliver didn't wish he could be touching Diego. Being with his man was one of the only things that grounded him, especially when he was having a bad day. But today? Today had been perfect. Diego mentioning the bedroom had Oliver faltering for a moment. The word made no sense in the arousing fog that was Oliver's brain at the moment. But then Diego was leading him to their bed, and Oliver was grateful for it. Closing the door behind him, Oliver pressed in the lock, just in case Haisley came home and forgot boundaries, and then immediately moved to start undressing Diego. The clothes couldn't come off quick enough.
It was always such a rush to fall into that place of mindless desire and love, and Diego grinned as he lifted his arms for Oliver to strip his shirt off, inching backward toward the bed. He felt the edge of the mattress hit the back of his legs, but Diego stayed standing until he had stripped Oliver’s shirt off of him as well, then sat so they could both get his pants and underwear off. He ran his hands up Oliver’s thighs and around to grip his ass as he pressed kisses against his abdomen for a brief moment. He grinned as he leaned back on his hands and lifted his hips to help his man pull the rest of his clothes off, eyes crawling over Oliver’s arms and torso. God, he made Diego just want to lick him all over.
His skin tingled everywhere Diego touched, and Oliver found it difficult not to just push his fiance back onto the bed and have his way with him. But he wanted this to last because tonight was special. Just seeing his ring on Diego's finger got Oliver's blood pumping hot as he pulled the rest of Diego's clothes from his body. The material hadn't even hit the floor before Oliver covered Diego's body with his own to kiss him again. Diego's body was warm and firm beneath his own, and Oliver reveled in the physical contact as he pressed his stiffening cock against Diego's.
God, was there any better feeling than having Oliver’s naked form pressed against him? Diego was pretty sure there wasn’t. He ran his hands up his lover’s arms and shoulders and down his back and sides again, addicted to the sensation of Oliver’s skin under his palms. Their bodies had changed over the years as they grew older, softening in spots and gaining new hair in others, and Diego had loved every single shift. Oliver would be sexy as fuck to him until they died as wrinkly old men, he was positive. It was the love that really got him going, and Diego could feel it humming in the air between them. He kissed Oliver deep and hungry, rocking underneath him to feel more of that friction against his own hardness, his hands sliding down to grip Oliver’s ass. Diego pulled one knee up to wrap his leg around Oliver’s hip, groaning softly as aroused heat warmed every inch of his body.
They had matured well past the awkwardness of young love and intimacy and now everything seemed to work like clockwork. But there was no boredom associated with knowing Diego as well as he did. Oliver loved knowing how to get Diego to shiver and moan and he found more pleasure in bringing pleasure to his lover than receiving it for himself. Diego deserved the world and Oliver had been trying since they were young men to give it to him. He ran his hand down Diego's side to his thigh, groaning at the feel of Diego's hands on his skin. The desire to taste him was overwhelming, so Oliver pulled away from Diego's mouth reluctantly to start kissing his way down Diego's body, eager to nuzzle and nip as much as he could on his way. When he got to Diego's cock, Oliver took his time exploring him with his tongue before drawing him into his mouth to start sucking lightly.
If there was a way to have Oliver’s mouth on his lips and his cock at the same time, it would’ve made for a perfect world ... and they would have discovered it by now, in all their erotic experimentation. Diego certainly felt like Oliver had given him the world -- he’d broken him out of that captive hell, he’d taught him so much, given him a life. The sexual chemistry and intimacy they’d grown together was just the icing on the cake. Diego dragged his fingers through Oliver’s curly hair as he moved down his body, pulling in shaky breaths as his arousal grew and grew. His eyes were open enough to meet Oliver’s gaze, and it gave his stomach a pleasant twist. Fuck, his man was so beautiful he couldn’t stand it sometimes. And then the things Oliver did to him with his mouth ... Diego cursed softly in Spanish and flexed his fingers in Oliver’s hair.
There was nothing in the world quite like giving Diego pleasure. It turned Oliver on something fierce and a low moan formed in his throat the deeper he took Diego's cock into his mouth. Listening to his lover and feeling his fingers in Oliver's hair was the best feeling and certainly more than a little encouraging. One hand slid up Diego's body, just to touch some more as his head bobbed over Diego's cock. His own cock was straining, aching for attention, but Oliver was more than happy to ignore it for now. All he wanted was Diego, squirming and panting and begging for more.
It wasn’t going to take him long to get there -- Diego had never had any other lovers, but he couldn’t imagine anyone else in the world being able to give him this depth of pleasure. Sure, he could probably find another person to suck him off if he really wanted to, but they wouldn’t be Oliver, and that made all the difference. Diego trusted and loved him so deeply, the pleasure was able to run wild inside of him and it was safe and perfect. He let his head fall back against the bed, his eyes rolling closed as he moaned again. Diego couldn’t help but rock his hips in time with the bobbing of Oliver’s head, his body hungry for all the friction and suction he could get. He sank into the bliss of being pampered, happy to be indulged but already looking forward to turning that same attention around on his lover ... his fiance.
That was exactly what he wanted, and if his mouth hadn't been busy, he would have smiled. His own hips moved instinctively against the bedspread, desperate for some kind of friction. Diego's pleasure stoked his arousal and Oliver groaned again, his palm splayed against Diego's abdomen. He could feel his man's muscles clenching underneath his fingers. There was so much lust pumping through his body at the moment, but there was also intense love and affection and Oliver couldn't imagine ever sharing this with anyone else. Diego was his lifeline and had been since they met. Soon they would be married, living in a house they would own and Oliver couldn't think of anything better. He still worried constantly about their safety, but he had to admit that this town had been better for them than anywhere else. Pulling his mouth from Diego's cock, Oliver slid his tongue down the length, flicking over Diego's balls before tasting every inch of him all over again.
Oliver’s name spilled past Diego’s lips in a moan, followed by some breathy praise in their mother tongue. It was almost nonsense, he couldn’t think straight, but the love behind the words was obvious. His thighs splayed wider and he tried not to squirm too much, but the tingling pleasure that Oliver was creating in his body made him so restless. He didn’t even know if he wanted to top or bottom tonight, he just knew his body was hungry for more Oliver. Diego’s breathing got harsher and heavier the longer Oliver teased and sucked him, his hands roaming over Oliver’s shoulders and neck and head. He let it go on until he felt like he was getting too close to coming. “God, my baby,” he groaned, moving to prop himself up on an elbow again. “Come here, lie back, I have to taste you.”
He would have gladly stayed where he was for hours, giving Diego as much pleasure as he could stand, but the promise of mutual appreciation was far too tempting to say no to. After one, lingering hard suck of Diego's cock, Oliver lifted himself up and over Diego's body, kissing him fiercely first, wanting to taste his lover's lips before he laid back. His chest was heaving with anticipation, his cock flushed against his lower stomach. He couldn't stop touching Diego though, his fingertips gliding over every inch of Diego's body that he could.
As much as Diego would have enjoyed the idea of hours of pleasure in theory, Oliver was far too good at giving head for him to have that kind of stamina and self control. Diego didn’t want this to be over too soon, they were celebrating. The parting gift for his cock made him shudder, and he hummed needily into that hungry kiss. Diego ran his hands up Oliver’s arms and down his sides, groping and caressing his back and ass before his fingers found Oliver’s stiff cock. The tip was dripping as Diego explored it, and he let out another low sound into his lover’s mouth. After giving him a squeeze, Diego nudged Oliver to roll and lie down. The movement broke the kiss, but Diego didn’t waste any time moving his mouth down to Oliver’s collarbones and chest to kiss his way down his body.
Oliver released a shaky breath as his back hit the mattress, and his hands moved to Diego's hair, pushing through the thick strands as his lover began to descend down his body. His entire body was on fire, wonderfully sensitive to every touch and kiss from Diego's mouth. As heavy as his eyelids were, Oliver forced them to stay open so he could watch everything Diego did. The sight was as erotic as everything else and Oliver groaned, his toes curling as he struggled to keep himself from pushing up into Diego. The desire for more was intense, but he was determined to be patient. It was a special night and he wanted it to last as long as possible.
Oliver’s fingers sent happy shivers running down Diego’s spine. He could feel the tension in his lover’s body as he ran his hands over Oliver’s sides and hips and thighs. Diego lived to drive him crazy, he loved knowing that he was filling Oliver with passion and making his brain glitch out. He kept moving south, finally settling between Oliver’s splayed legs. Diego planted breathy kisses around his crotch, just brushing Oliver’s cock with his cheek and nose here and there, licking at the dip next to his balls and planting a couple of nibbles against the insides of his thighs. He smelled so good and felt so warm and solid, Diego had to be conscious of how hard he was biting. Finally he flashed his eyes up at Oliver and ran the flat of his tongue from his balls up the length of his shaft, then sucked his way back down.
Incomprehensible noises escaped Oliver, followed by soft, breathy curses in Spanish encouraging his lover. His hands continued to roam wherever he could reach, his thumb stroking Diego's cheek when he settled between Oliver's thighs. The attention to his body and cock was exquisite torture and Oliver was grateful that Haisley was out with friends because he didn't think he had it in him tonight to keep things quiet. "God, yes," he groaned, his hands back in Diego's hair as that delicious heat enveloped his cock. It was difficult not to thrust his hips up to delve deeper, but Oliver managed some restraint. Every nerve felt raw and on fire and Oliver just wanted to sink into the mindlessness of it all and never surface again. "Feels so good," he murmured, forcing his eyes open again to watch what Diego was doing.
Diego hummed around Oliver’s cock, thrilled with the way his body gradually got more and more tense with pleasure. All that taut muscle felt good under his hands and he stroked Oliver’s skin while he slowly bobbed his head up and down, sucking firmly. He loved how it felt, hot velvety skin wrapped around that core of hardness. Diego moaned softly again as he tasted the salt of Oliver’s precum, his tongue swiping over the tip like he’d never had anything so delicious. He couldn’t get enough of hearing dirty things come out of Oliver’s mouth, regardless of the language, and he wanted to draw more vocalizations out of him. Nobody was going to hear them tonight. He gradually started to ramp up his speed, taking Oliver deep on every downstroke, and moved one hand to caress and gently toy with his balls.
His spine was starting to tense from the building pleasure and Oliver could feel his balls tighten under Diego's intense affection. He so badly wanted to let go and just give himself over to all the promised mindless pleasure, but at the same time, he wanted this to last longer, to get there with his new fiance. There would be plenty of time for all of the other stuff later. "Gonna come," he warned with a hoarse voice. He pushed Diego's shoulders gently, fighting off the urge even then to thrust deeper into Diego's throat. "I want to fuck you first."
He backed off when Oliver nudged him, giving a little whine as he did so. It was just a temporary disappointment, of course, because he was eager to fuck too, he just loved having Oliver in his mouth. Diego pushed up to his hands and knees and crawled up to give his man a deep kiss. He rocked his hips to rub their cocks together, a muffled moan escaping him. Diego made himself break the kiss and grinned faintly. “You want me to ride you?” he purred, a little breathless. “Or bend over for you ...? Anything you want, lover, I’m yours.” And soon that would even be true legally. Flexing his left hand and feeling the ring there felt so sexy in the heat of the moment.
If Oliver could have picked every possible suggestion, he would have. His hands slid over Diego's body, thankful for the brief break. It helped him get himself under control and make this last longer. "Ride me," he murmured, eager for the view that would give him. Diego could set the pace and they could take their time. His cock may be impatient, but Oliver certainly wasn't. He wanted to revel in this for as long as possible. It was the perfect celebration of what was to come.
That was the answer Diego had been hoping for, and he let out a little growl of delight and nipped at Oliver’s bottom lip. “With pleasure.” He kissed his man a couple more quick times, then pulled away to grab the lube and get into position. Once Diego had shuffled his way to straddling Oliver’s hips, he squeezed the bottle into his palm and reached back to get both of them slick, giving Oliver a few extra strokes. “You’re going to feel so good,” he murmured, gazing down with heavy-lidded eyes. “My husband.” Diego gave him a dazed little grin, lining up their bodies. He started rocking his hips back, easing Oliver’s cock inside of him. He wondered vaguely if having sex as a married couple would feel any different -- he couldn’t imagine it getting any better, but Diego was eager to find out.
Oliver's chest was heaving with anticipation, and his eyes nearly rolled into the back of his head at the teasing strokes. He always wanted Diego. Their lust for each other hadn't waned in all these years, but tonight it felt stronger somehow like a simple proposal had been enough to ignite a deeper flame in his gut. Of course, for them, the proposal wasn't so simple. It had been decades in the making. Oliver forced his eyes open again and watched Diego, his hands sliding lovingly over Diego's thighs and then his hips. "Fuck," he breathed, the deeper his cock slid into Diego. "You feel so good." Obvious words, yes, but Oliver's brain wasn't exactly working at the moment.
After being together for so long, maybe it didn’t make logical sense that becoming fiancés would make any difference in how they felt about each other, but Diego felt extra heat in his body too. There was pressure in his chest that made him want to get as close to Oliver as he could, to be full of him and their love, to somehow merge their bodies even further than sex could accomplish. It was a nostalgic sort of intensity, reminiscent of the powerful things he’d felt early on in their relationship, but with a lifetime of love behind it now. Diego’s body didn’t take long to warm up to that delicious stretch from Oliver’s cock, and he moaned as he ground down against Oliver’s groin, rolling his hips in small circles to let them both adjust. He bent down for some breathless kisses, trying to pace himself even if his body wanted to start bouncing.
Oliver's breath caught in his throat and he groaned into Diego's mouth. They had come so far since those days at the facility that sometimes those years felt like a completely different life. Things had always been good though, even when they were on the run and trying to find themselves and where they fit in in the world. Oliver's love for Diego had only grown and deepened. Being without him was an unfathomable thought, which was why Oliver tried so hard to protect him. That wouldn't change, even now, being in a semi-comfortable place with people who he thought of as allies. His body was tensing beneath Diego's, his hands smoothing over Diego's hips and his thighs as he began to thrust his hips gently, wanting to get deeper, to let Diego feel every inch of him. It was a powerful feeling, to want to become one with another person and he felt sad for anyone who never got to experience it.
Occasionally Diego had wondered if he wasn’t fundamentally broken somehow because he wasn’t more miserable. It was a weird thing to ponder, but after everything he’d been through, he would’ve expected to be so much unhappier. Oliver had given him such an incredible life, had taken such good care of him, that the struggles Diego had gone through hadn’t broken him. Oliver had always been there for him, in every possible way, and Diego was already eager to tie the knot with him. He pushed himself up a bit and braced his hands at Oliver’s shoulders so he could watch his face, pleasure dancing over his own expression as Oliver slid deeper inside. “I love you so much,” he moaned down to his man. Diego rolled his hips in time with Oliver’s, relishing those slow deep thrusts and how full he felt.
They had certainly come out of their experiences together stronger, which was a constant relief to Oliver. He had worried for years that Diego's trauma would lead him down an irreversible path of self-destruction, but his boyfriend - fiance - was stronger than anyone knew. Breathing heavily, Oliver dug his heels into the bed, using it as leverage to thrust his hips up a bit harder, his fingers pressing into the muscle in Diego's thighs. Everything felt intense and amazing and Oliver never wanted it to end. "I love you back," he breathed, watching Diego's face and taken in by how beautiful his man was. One hand slipped between them to touch Diego's cock, his fingers wrapping around its length to squeeze gently.
Diego surely would have been dead a dozen times over without Oliver. Even if he’d escaped the facility on his own, he wouldn’t have had any idea how to survive in the real world alone. He would’ve been totally lost if he and Oliver had parted ways, and God only knew who else he might have fallen in with. Definitely no one else who had his best interest at heart, that was for sure. He loved Oliver more and more with each passing year, and being close with him like this had never gotten old. Diego made a sharper sound as those thrusts got harder, electric pleasure licking up his spine. The pressure around his cock just spurred him on, and he rocked his hips back to meet Oliver’s thrusts as his breathing got harsher and his balls drew up, heat spreading further through his core.
It was during these moments that Oliver felt as though he could become one with Diego, mind, body and soul. It was the kind of thing that would probably make most people roll their eyes, because it was probably too saccharine and mushy for their tastes, but it was the absolute truth. He knew not everyone believed in soul mates, but he did, and had the moment he met Diego. He hadn't known exactly what it meant at first, but it became more than evident over time that their meeting had been fated somehow. Oliver wasn't an overly religious person, but he tended to think there were bigger forces at work in the universe, and one of those forces brought them together. Just looking at Diego now, his face awash in pleasure, brought an intense warmth to Oliver's chest and he was sure he had never seen anything so beautiful. The last bit of control began to unravel in Oliver's core and he pumped his cock into Diego harder, taking a brief moment to lick his fingers before returning his hand to work Diego's cock. He wanted to feel Diego's body pulse with all that pleasure, more than he wanted to come himself, though god knew he wasn't that far from it.
Diego had more faith in the church sense than Oliver did, and he was pretty damn sure God had brought Oliver to him on purpose. He wouldn’t have survived otherwise, and while he’d occasionally doubted how good he’d been for his partner’s life path, he knew better now. They were made for each other, brought together for a reason, even if that was just to live out their lives together, happier than they ever would have been apart. Diego was drowning deliciously in that beautiful indescribable mix of lust and love, and just watching Oliver’s tongue swipe his fingers drew a helpless groan out of him. It was quickly followed by a louder cry when Oliver started to stroke him with more purpose, and Diego’s hands flexed in the sheets. His man’s cock was hitting that perfect spot to send sparks of ecstacy racing through his whole body. Diego pushed back against those thrusts, the pleasure coiled in his lower belly pulling tighter and tighter until his balls were throbbing with need. It didn’t take long until his orgasm overtook him and turned him into a shuddering mess, his body throbbing around Oliver’s cock while he made a mess of his stomach.
Oliver was intensely fixated on Diego, every muscle in his body tensing with the need to hold back until his man got there first. As soon as he felt Diego go off, Oliver let go, grunting with concentration as he thrust harder and faster, letting himself fall over that peak without any sense of control. They were both going to be a mess, but it was always worth it. It just meant he got to pull Diego into the shower so they could clean up together. Growling low in his throat as his entire body tensed and shuddered, Oliver arched briefly beneath Diego before the grip on Diego's hips loosened and he relaxed bonelessly into the bed. He was still panting, trying to catch his breath, but he couldn't resist reaching up to slip his hand into Diego's hair, drawing their mouths together for a deep, lingering kiss.
He loved it when they could come so close together, both of their bodies throbbing with the same pleasure. The way Oliver thrust right as he came sent ripples of extra ecstasy running through Diego’s body, and he moaned almost just as much as his lover did. He was dazedly happy to kiss Oliver, his hips still rocking gently to wring every bit of sensation out of their union. Finally he stilled and gave a contented sigh against Oliver’s mouth. Diego peppered some slow kisses against his face and brushed his nose against that delicious five o’clock shadow he always seemed to have. “Almost my husband,” he murmured, smiling faintly.
Oliver didn't even try to stop the trembling of his body. Satisfaction radiated from every inch of his body and his hands couldn't stop moving over Diego's heated, damp body. "Soon to be," Oliver replied with a smile, grazing his fingertips up Diego's spine. "Not soon enough." He wondered if things would move quickly now. If they would pick a date and ask Shane about using his house. He wondered if Haisley would want to help with the planning, or wear a dress, even. Not that he would force her into it. But women could be surprising, unpredictable creatures. "I love you so much,," he murmured. "Think we can get in a shower before Haisley gets home?"
If Diego hadn’t wanted to have a big party with their newfound family and friends, he would’ve been happy to skip it all and just drag Oliver to the courthouse to marry him as soon as possible. But the idea of celebrating with people who actually gave a shit about both of them was too appealing. They would make plans and celebrate properly, even if it wasn’t complicated or lavish. Diego didn’t want anything super fancy, just nice. They deserved some fucking niceness in their lives, for god’s sake. “I love you too, handsome,” Diego replied with a smile, moving to press his lips softly to Oliver’s a few times. “I bet we can.” Even if they were still showering when she came back, Diego didn’t honestly think she minded their displays of affection. He lingered in another sweet kiss, then moved to climb off of Oliver with a little groan.
Oliver didn't think Haisley minded it much either, but he still liked the privacy. Plus, they would probably be telling her that they were engaged when she got home, something he would let Diego do. He released a soft breath when Diego slipped off of him, already missing the weight pressed against him. But then he smiled at the sight of Diego, naked and tousled and he found he couldn't wait until they went to bed later and he got to wrap himself around his lover for the night. His fiance. Happier than he had been in a while, Oliver slipped off the bed and took Diego's hand, kissing it before tugging him along toward the bathroom.
