Re: Logan and Bash
Logan was glad Bash could admit it rather than get offended by the question. He didn't see anything wrong with people getting attached romantically, it just didn't seem to be for him. Either he hadn't found the right person, or circumstances just weren't in his favor. C'est la vie and all that shit. "You don't have to convince me," Logan said, his grin deepening. "And there's nothing wrong with being a serial monogamist. If you meet the right person, you meet the right person. Sometimes you gotta meet a lot of the wrong persons to get there."
“Yeah, but breakups suck,” Bash pointed out. “The downside of getting attached.” He could feel it looming in the distance, ready to break his heart sooner or later. It was what he’d been hoping to avoid after Hunter, but he’d come to accept it was inevitable. All good things eventually came to an end. They could try the long distance thing, Bash was on board if Theo was, but the chances of this lasting forever were slim. He knew it, Theo knew it, and the longer they put it off, the more it would probably hurt, but Bash couldn’t bring himself to initiate it. Despite their chances, he at least wanted to try. “Maybe I could just not break up with people,” he said with a little smirk. “Start a harem.”
Logan nodded, though he had only gone through maybe one or two break ups before in his life, and that had been early in high school. They did suck though. He had no idea if trying to avoid that feeling was part of his quest for a non-monogamous lifestyle or what, but he had never really given it much though. What was the point? "I'm sure you'd get plenty of people to join," he said. "Have a bunch of orgies and have them feed you grapes. Sounds like the perfect kind of life. Who needs college?"
“There’s a plan,” Bash snickered. “Bet there’s at least a couple of takers here tonight.” Though he wasn’t being serious, he looked at the crowd and wondered who among them could be talked into that level of debauchery. He’d spent a good portion of his high school career doing everything he could not to see his friends in that sort of light, but so many of them were hot that it was far too easy, especially after a few drinks. “Always good to have something to fall back on if college doesn’t work out. I might have to work on pitching the grapes though.”
"Alcohol lowers inhibitions, so I'm sure you could find more than a couple," Logan pointed out with a laugh. How nice would it be if Jasper and Jules wanted to hook up with him tonight? It was a fantasy, of course, but one he enjoyed. "You don't need to pitch grapes, you just gotta learn to catch them in your mouth. You're the king of the harem, after all." He glanced into his cup and saw it was nearly empty. How'd that happen? "I'm going to go get a refill of something different. You want anything?"
Bash rolled his eyes as he shook his head, unable to picture it. Him being a harem king was just too far fetched. It didn’t help that the grapes imagery made him feel like everyone should be wearing togas, transported to ancient Greece and surrounded by white columns. It wasn’t even slightly realistic, but neither was him hosting an orgy. At Logan’s question, he glanced down at his cup, surprised to find it almost empty as well. “Yeah,” he said. “Something different. Maybe something stronger.” He wasn’t sure what he wanted, but if this was his last chance to party with his friends from home, he wanted to make the best of it.
