Sage knew some people were hands off after sex, which always seemed weird to him considering the intimacy that had just been shared, but whatever. He could deal with it when he had to, but he would always be one to cuddle if he could. The way Jasper draped himself over Sage brought a small smile to his lips and he wrapped his other arm around him, perfectly comfortable with the position. The weight of his body made him feel so grounded that he wished he could just sleep there. “Glad I could help,” he murmured. “I remember being there. It’s kinda… kinda a weird headspace.” He remembered the first time he’d been aroused by another guy and recognized it for what it was. It had crept up on him, catching him off guard, and even then it was a good while before he was willing to act on it. He’d had a lot going on in his life back then, a different crisis that never completely resolved itself. He thought Jasper could probably relate, but he was likely too young to remember what happened to the Cooperdale Five, and that was probably a good thing.
Jasper had obviously been feeling same sex attraction before the fog, but trying to deal with it on top of everything else that had piled on top of him ... yeah, it was definitely a weird headspace. To put it mildly. As tired as he was of thinking about it all, there was some relief inside of his mind, because at least now he knew. Jasper didn’t know where that would ultimately take him in his relationships, but at least he could stop constantly questioning himself. He didn’t remember the Cooperdale Five saga, it just blended into the background noise of Tragedy In Point Pleasant for him, but he felt a weird sense of kinship at the moment, like Sage had probably struggled with it all too, in his own way. Maybe that was just their fog bond talking, but it felt true. Jasper just hummed an agreeable noise and let a quiet descend on them, the steady thump of Sage’s heartbeat under his head lulling him into almost a doze. He knew they couldn’t sleep here, he should take Sage home and then himself, and he would, but he couldn’t make himself move yet.
