Diego, Oliver Reza and Shane
Everyone seemed to want to talk to Oliver and it took a while before Shane caught him alone. Or, as alone as he could get it seemed, since Diego wasn't leaving his side. Shane couldn't blame him knowing what Oliver was and what that meant to probably everyone in the house. They accepted his request to come inside for a few minutes to talk and Shane brought the only peace offering he knew to bring, setting down a pile of alcohol filled glasses on the living room table before plopping down on the recliner. "We got off on the wrong foot," he offered with a faint smile, snagging up one of the glasses for himself. "Any chance we can start over?" He knew Reza would probably have a better way of saying that but this was his attempt at making mends. Reza was just conveniently there to smooth things over if the whole thing was a colossal failure.
Oliver wasn't really sure how much longer Diego wanted to stay at Shane's and he was starting to feel a bit antsy. Speaking with a few of them had helped ease his mind a little since they all seemed like decent people, but Oliver was still nervous about the whole thing. He still didn't know exactly what a null was, or how he was supposedly one of them but he didn't really feel comfortable talking to Diego about it while they were still surrounded by AIR subjects. Victims. Inside, Oliver stuck close to Diego as they sat on the sofa to talk to Shane. Taking a small breath, Oliver glanced at Diego before managing a small, polite smile for Shane. "I would be all right with that," he said, clasping his hands together. "I'm only here to help. I don't want to be the cause of any friction."
Diego had mixed feelings about Shane inviting them inside. He was a little comforted by the fact that Reza was there, looking calm and friendly as ever. Hopefully he was a good influence on Shane’s mood. It was hard to forget what had happened at the front door, Diego’s protective instincts still wanted to jump forward to defend his man ... but he was trying to be sympathetic. AIR had not been kind to any of them, and Diego was familiar with certain things being traumatic triggers. He just didn’t like the idea that Oliver could be a trigger for any of them. Diego still hadn’t fully wrapped his mind around Oliver potentially being a ‘null,’ but if he really thought about it ... he kind of got it, didn’t he? It was just something they needed to talk about privately first. He accepted another drink and sat back next to his man, his gaze ticking around the room while one knee bounced. “We’re all on the same team,” he put in, though his tone was a bit flat.
