Ethan and Jules
Jules nodded. She would let it go, since he seemed to understand how much she appreciated what he had done. Yes, she had been asked to prom by more than a few guys, but she'd had no desire to go with anyone but Jasper. At least in a romantic sense. Ethan was her friend now and a good friend and they were connected by something bigger than that. She didn't have to worry about him groping her at the end of the night, or expecting something in return. "I don't think we're actively avoiding anyone," she admitted with a smile. "I think maybe I can handle just about anyone tonight. I'm not big on songs that make everyone dance the same, so you don't have to worry about any of that, if it happens. I think maybe we should just do whatever we want to do and screw everything else."
"I like that plan," Ethan smiled. They would go with the flow and do whatever they wanted and have a good time. At least, that was the plan and it seemed manageable enough. It was her prom, not his, and Ethan was flexible enough to pivot at a moment's notice, if needed. Luckily, Jules seemed to be enjoying herself and that was all that really mattered tonight.
