Re: Bash & Theo
"See, now I like that attitude," Theo said with a grin. He leaned in to kiss Bash, though he didn't linger as long as he would have liked to, considering they were still at a school function and he didn't want Bash to get in trouble. "Do I get to meet the people whose opinion you care about?" he asked in murmur, once he pulled back from Bash. He figured that was bound to happen, considering they were surrounded by people Bash knew, but he supposed he just wanted to make sure this wouldn't be a night where they stuck to themselves because Bash was nervous. Then again, if that's where Bash was mentally, Theo supposed he could deal with it.
Teachers or chaperones breaking them up on the dance floor didn't even occur to Sebastian, possibly because it had never been an issue, and he drew closer to Theo as he pulled back, wishing he could've had just a bit more of those lips on his. If kissing in public was something they could do now, he wanted to take full advantage of it. But he also understood there was plenty of time for that. There were people that he wanted Theo to meet, and there was no longer a reason for him not to introduce them. "Of course," he grinned. "I know for sure that Phee'd like to meet you. So would Greg, though he kind of knows you, but only like I did before we hooked up. I'd love you to meet Jules, but I don't think she's coming tonight. Which is sad. She should've been queen."
"I know Jules. Well, in a way that everyone knows everyone." At least in their social circle. She had obviously been a year younger than him in school but she was Jules Cooper. Of course he knew who she was even if they didn't hang out together. "But yeah, I'd like to meet her in a you know... official way. Maybe another night, if she won't be here tonight. That's weird though, yeah? Did she not have a date?" That seemed a bit implausible to him. The hot girls in school were never lacking for attention.
"She also lives across the street from you," Sebastian pointed out with a little smile before continuing. "She's just had a rough time lately. Her boyfriend was one of the ones that went missing, like my mom, but he hasn't come back. We still don't know if he will." He couldn't get into how Jules had been part of the reason they'd disappeared, but Theo didn't need to know that part to see how it might affect Jules. "She's a good friend though. We dated for a while last spring, but that clearly didn't work out," he snickered. "She's the only person who figured me out before I told her."
Theo's house was way back in the trees before the cliffs so he tended to forget how close he lived to everyone else. And frankly, the only person's house in Overlook he paid much attention to anymore was Bash's. He did remember Jules though and how some of his friends would talk about her. Not that he'd mention any of that now. Theo liked to think he matured a bit from all that. His smile faded when Bash explained Jules's situation. "Shit, that sucks. Yeah, I guess I can see why she wouldn't want to come tonight. I didn't know you two hooked up though... you're obviously still friends, so that's good. I don't know that I've been on good terms with any of my exes."
