Re: Bash & Theo
"Never underestimate the power of a guy who wants to make out with his boyfriend," Theo warned Bash. "If there's a dark corner somewhere, he'll find it." But he supposed he could behave if Bash needed him to behave. He hadn't had anything to drink before they headed off to the country club, so that helped. Alcohol tended to make him horny. The room was already crowded with people. Decorations. A DJ. The room itself was dim but for some lights from the stage and fake candles lit on the tables. "So what should we do first? Find your friends? Dance?"
"Well, it's a country club," Sebastian grinned. "I'm sure there's, like, a pristinely kept locker room. And if that's occupied, we can always step outside for a bit." While he was normally one to behave himself, it was prom and Theo looked especially hot tonight and he only had so much willpower, even while sober. It seemed like an awfully long wait until the end of the night, so maybe they could just take a little break halfway through. He doubted anyone would notice if they were gone. He scanned the room when they walked in, noting the few heads that turned their way, but that was normal. He'd probably do the same. "Let's have at least one dance before we have to deal with my friends," he laughed. "I'll need to find Greg, and I'm sure my sister would like to meet you."
Theo liked that plan. He had only come to the country club a couple of times with his mother and he didn't exactly take the time to explore the place. But he was sure he and Bash could find some privacy if they wanted it. Even if they had to go outside. The evenings still got a bit chilly but it wasn't anything they couldn't tolerate, especially if they generated their own heat. "We can have as many dances as you want before we talk to anyone," Theo said, squeezing Bash's hand. He supposed he should have felt nervous walking into this place hand in hand with a guy, but fuck it, he was tired of hiding. His mom knew now, so why not let everyone else know.
Too many dances and Bash would be looking for that locker room within the first hour of their arrival. Being that close to Theo just had that effect on him. He was more excited than nervous as he guided them towards the dance floor, aware of the attention them being there together generated, but not as bothered by it as he might have been a few months ago. People were going to judge no matter what he did, so he might as well do what made him happy. And having Theo there with him made him happier than he'd ever expected. When they reached the dance floor, he slid one arm around Theo's waist, trying to find the position that felt natural as they began to move to the music. Luckily, they'd entered on a slow song. "This okay?"
Theo had been used to people paying attention to him when he had been in high school so this was nothing new. Of course, he had never gone to a dance with a guy before. Theo knew they were more focused on Bash than on him but Bash didn't seem to mind it either. "Yeah," he said with a grin. "Though I'm realizing that I've never danced with a guy before so it's like, do I lead? Do you lead? Am I going to step on your feet?" He wasn't really worried about any of those things, not really. Theo supposed he was more concerned at keeping Bash at ease, considering they were surrounded by people he went to school with.
