Who: Clint and Ruby When: night, Saturday, Jan 20th Where: the high school, winter formal Warning: kinda naughty Status: complete
Ruby hadn’t realized how bad she needed the dance until she was there, enjoying herself, all her worries washed away for the evening. It wasn’t a place to worry about monsters or cops or tall men with bowler hats. It was a place to have fun and forget, if only for the night. It might have been freezing outside, but she’d opted for a short, strapless gown that swirled blue and purple, the tones just right so as not to clash with her hair. She’d added a bit of purple there too, just for fun, and it made her feel a bit like a fairy princess. After a few shots from Clint’s flask, Ruby was almost giggly and she returned to him with a smile, having spent a few minutes gushing over her date to her friends. No, he wasn’t her norm, but he’d been a prince. “Hey babe,” she grinned as she draped her arms around his neck. “Having fun?”
Clint was having a great time, which was what he felt like they both desperately needed. Even after the initial fear had settled down from seeing what they’d seen, Clint kept having nightmares about it. Things felt unstable in a very weird under-the-surface way, like some part of reality was unraveling while surface life went on as normal. So an opportunity to get drunk and dance and be happy with his friends and his hot-ass girlfriend wasn’t one he was going to pass up. Ruby looked great, like some exotic bird taking human form, and he’d been shamelessly staring at her all evening when something else wasn’t distracting him. The flask helped too, and he was feeling pleasantly buzzy when Ruby found him again. Clint grinned back and slid his arm around her waist to hold her in close. “Yeah totally,” he answered. “You? Want another drink or anything?”
“Mmm, maybe one more,” Ruby grinned, pushing up on her toes to give him a little kiss. “I wanna have fun later, so I don’t wanna get too toasted.” The last thing she wanted was Clint having to drag her around. It was such a turn off to be with someone who’d gotten sloppy drunk, so Ruby was trying to be careful. She felt like she had a decent tolerance built up, but she was tiny, so she didn’t want to push it. She liked this feeling of being nice and warm and happy about everything. It was so much better than the fear and dread that lingered in the back of her mind most days. “I told my dad I might stay with Jules tonight. Which, I’m pretty sure he knows is bullshit, but he declined to comment on.”
Clint appreciated that -- he’d had a few girlfriends in the past who had overdone it at a few parties and just been a pain in the ass to take care of. Not that he’d never been a pain in the ass himself, but he tended to save the heavy drinking for when he was with his buddies and someone could drag him to bed if they had to. Since Ruby wanted another shot, he pulled his flask out of his jacket and unscrewed the top to offer it to her. The rest of what she said made him grin lopsidedly. “Is Jules gonna get a comment, or we just gonna bypass her and say you’re coming home with me?” he asked, amused. It was nice to have a girlfriend who didn’t care much about breaking those sorts of rules. Clint’s mom didn’t like it when girls spent the night with him, but he knew she would just fuss at him later about it and then let it go. Ruby was worth being fussed at.
“I mean, I should probably tell her,” Ruby said with a little roll of her eyes as she took a quick shot from Clint’s flask before handing it back. “I can’t imagine my dad ever saying something to her, but just in case. It’s not like she’ll care. I’d bet my bike she’ll be with Jasper.” They were safe odds, in her opinion. Jules might be amused that Ruby had picked her as her cover, so she might like the laugh. Or she might not, considering the last time she’d stayed over she’d killed her step-dad. It was a detail Ruby hadn’t completely thought through. “You won’t get in trouble, will you? I can be sneaky,” she snickered softly. Clint’s parents seemed super laid back, but she didn’t know where the lines were. It was one thing for him to sneak her up to his room for the evening, but maybe another for her to stay the night.
Clint was sure that Jules would be with her boyfriend too, wherever they ended up. It was just that kind of night. He would’ve happily given cover to one of his buddies too, so he didn’t think Jules would say no or anything. It was just how you got things done as a teenager. He dimpled at Ruby, something a little wicked about his smile. “You’re worth any trouble I’d get into,” he told her, slipping one arm around her waist to pull her in close. Clint leaned in to kiss on her neck for a second -- he’d been trying to be careful not to mess up her makeup -- then straightened up again to lift the flask to his lips for a swig. When his head turned, he locked eyes with someone older and authoritative a few yards away. The chaperone’s expression darkened and he started walking toward them. “Ohshit,” Clint breathed, hurriedly tucking the flask into his jacket pocket. He grabbed Ruby’s hand to start pulling her toward the door. “C’mon, quick quick.”
Ruby quietly laughed her approval as Clint kissed her neck and ran her fingers through the back of his hair. She’d been low key turned on the whole evening, his little touches and the anticipation making her whole body warm. If he kept it up, she wasn’t sure she’d want to wait until after the party to fool around with him. “Hm?” Ruby started when Clint pulled away, confusion flickering in her eyes. “What? Where are we going?” she laughed, allowing herself to be pulled along. A glance over her shoulder gave her some insight as one of the chaperones followed quickly behind them. “Oh shit,” she echoed Clint and picked up the pace, moving as fast as she could in her heels. Getting thrown out of the dance wouldn’t ruin the night, but it would put a damper on it for sure.
Clint knew the gym backwards and forwards, considering how much time he spent in it, and he instinctively led Ruby to the left as soon as they were out the big double doors. He didn’t recognize the chaperone, it might’ve just been somebody’s parent, but damn it, he didn’t want to get in trouble for drinking and get kicked out or something. He was so close to graduating, too, Clint wanted to avoid anything that might jeopardize that. Even so, he was grinning as he pulled his date toward the boy’s locker room entrance that was out in the hallway. “Oh thank fuck,” he breathed when the door wasn’t locked, following it up with a snicker. He hurried Ruby inside and pushed the door closed, fumbling to turn the deadbolt. There was another entrance through the gym, but that didn’t even cross his mind yet.
Ruby didn’t want to get caught, she knew it was a serious offense, but for some reason the whole thing amused her and she found herself snickering as she hurried behind Clint, trusting him to lead them in the right direction. She wasn’t entirely sure where they were going until he pushed open the door to the locker room, the room mostly dark except for the dim emergency lights. When Clint turned the lock, Ruby breathed a sigh of relief. “Think we lost ‘em?” she asked with a grin, then her eyes ticked over to the rest of the room. “Never thought I’d end up in here.” She didn’t even frequent the girl’s locker room if she could help it, but there was something exciting about being inside the boy’s space, even if it was just them.
In spite of the risk, Clint was finding it funny too, giggling along with her. The buzz from the alcohol mixed with the shot of adrenaline was making him feel giddy. Not to mention the taboo of bringing a girl into the locker room. “For a minute, anyway,” Clint murmured with another little snicker. He had no idea if the chaperone would really try to follow them in there, but it seemed like a waste of opportunity if he didn’t even kiss her while they were in a taboo place. Clint wrapped his arms around Ruby’s waist and grinned at her. “Sorry, it always kinda smells like ball sweat and stale socks,” he murmured. Expecting someone to start pounding on the door at any second, he kissed her through another little snicker.
“It smells like boys,” Ruby laughed softly against his lips. Neither of the things he’d named were even remotely appealing and it didn’t smell great in there, but it wasn’t bad enough that Ruby was in a rush to leave. The thrill of being there was too great, even if she was sure that someone would start banging on the door at any moment. “You should show me your locker,” she grinned, but didn’t stop kissing him, her hands sliding across his chest to grab hold of his tie. She pulled him further into the room, away from the door, though she had no idea which direction to lead him. They should probably be hiding, in case someone came to see if they were in there, but it was far too tempting to take a moment to make out with him.
In Clint’s experience, boys didn’t generally smell that great, but Ruby didn’t seem turned off by it, so that was cool. Maybe there was something in all the teenage pheromones or some shit. It didn’t matter to him, as long as she kept touching and kissing him like that. Clint followed the pull with a dopey grin, then pointed her off to the left. “It’s over there,” he said. There was absolutely nothing interesting in his gym locker, just some crumpled up uniforms that needed to be washed and some football pads and an extra stick of deodorant, but if his girl wanted to see it? He would show her. Chaperone be damned.
Ruby headed towards his locker, but she didn’t really have a plan other than to keep on kissing him. In her brain there were some super hot things they could get up to in the locker room, but there was also a chance someone could walk in at any minute and find them. And the threat of that happening made it even hotter. Leaning up against the lockers, Ruby deepened the kiss, her tongue slipping into Clint’s mouth as she pulled him closer. She was already starting to forget why they were there and thinking maybe they should take advantage of this moment of privacy. After all, the door was locked.
Clint would’ve loved to have unlimited time in there, in spite of the ballsack smell, because there were showers and all kinds of things to bend Ruby over and make their own fun. Didn’t every high school boy fantasize about having a girl in the locker room? Or like, the whole cheerleading squad? Having Ruby there was even better, to Clint ... which had nothing to do with the fact that he’d already dated most of the cheerleaders. He liked her, she was fun as hell, and a lot of the other girls he’d dated would be too prissy for this. Clint pressed against her, pinning her to the lockers behind her, his hands stroking down her sides as they kissed. With a soft grunt in his throat, he pulled the hem of her dress up to feel her thighs and hips, dancing his tongue against hers.
“Fuck,” Ruby murmered as Clint’s hands slid up her dress and over the bare skin of her thighs and hips. She’d selected a blue lace thong with him in mind, expecting him to see it later, but feeling his fingers graze against it was turning her on. Holding onto Clint for balance, Ruby hitched one leg over his hip and drew him in closer. They should fuck, right there, against the locker. Or on one of those benches. Ruby never thought she’d be fantasizing about a jock fucking her in the locker room, but Clint had become more than that. He was her boyfriend and she liked him a whole hell of a lot and she wasn’t afraid to be a little wild with him.
One of Clint’s hands automatically moved to hold Ruby’s leg up, a low groan making its way out of his throat. That was hot, and for a moment he felt like he really could fuck her up against the lockers. His cock certainly liked the idea, straining against his boxer briefs. Clint’s suit coat was getting too hot with all of this making out, and he started to tug it off when he heard the other entrance door to the locker room get pushed open. They weren’t in the line of sight of it, but everything echoed in there, so it was impossible to miss. Clint’s body gave a startled jolt and he pulled back from Ruby by instinct, then immediately reached to steady her since she was standing on just one heel. “Fuck,” he hissed, more annoyance than amusement this time.
“Who’s in here?” an angry adult voice bellowed. Heart pounding now for less sexy reasons, Clint grabbed Ruby’s hand to start leading her away, trying to work out an escape plan in his head.
Ruby was totally on board with fucking around in the locker room, up until someone opened the door. She flinched in surprise, then tightened her hold on Clint for balance, staying as still as possible so as not to make any noise. As soon as a voice rang out, Ruby reached down to slip her shoes off, knowing that if they were going to get out of there, they would have to be quiet. She had no idea where Clint was going, if they were going to have to try and hide or what, but they clearly couldn’t leave the way they came in.
The door to the hallway was locked and too exposed, and the one leading into the gym was now covered by someone, so they were cornered in the locker room until the chaperone left. So hiding seemed like the best plan for the moment. Clint was glad Ruby took her heels off, even if that wasn’t something he would’ve thought of. He mentally sent her an apology for where they were going through -- to the toilets. Supposedly the floor had been mopped before the dance, but still, gross. Clint led them into the handicapped stall and quietly closed the door. The lights were especially dim in there, since no one was supposed to be in the locker room at all, so he hoped they could go unnoticed. Clint turned to Ruby and smiled a bit, putting his finger to his lips as they heard the chaperone start to stomp around and look for them.
Of all the places in the boys locker room Ruby might wanted to see, the toilets she would have happily avoided. But if that’s where they could hide, she could handle it. When Clint turned to her and put his finger to his lips, she smiled and rolled her eyes, because of course she was going to be quiet. And just in case someone decided to look under the stalls, she went and climbed on top of the toilet. One set of feet under a bathroom stall could maybe be lied away, but not two, especially if one of them was a girl. Ruby held her breath as the footsteps came closer, willing herself not to make a sound. This made her all kinds of nervous, but this was the kind of stress she could handle compared to the terrors of last weekend.
Clint definitely didn’t expect her to do that, but he tried to help keep her steady so she didn’t put a foot in the water by accident. He was also trying to breathe as quietly as he could, and willing the nosy-ass dude to Go Away. It was a high school dance, there was going to be drinking, especially amongst the seniors, the adults just needed to get the fuck over it. Like they’d done any better in their day. Clint spread his feet kind of wide to try and hide them behind the bottom of the stall frame legs, just in case the pervert glanced under the doors. He heard the scuff of shoes on the tile, then a soft curse and walking away as the chaperone gave up on that area and went to check the showers. Before too long -- but it still felt like an eternity -- he stomped off and Clint heard the door to the gym open and shut again.
Ruby would rather get caught than put her foot in the boys’ toilet, so she was being extra careful not to slip and appreciated Clint’s support. Her heart pounded in her chest as the footsteps came closer, then had to work extra hard not to sigh in relief when they headed back the other way. Just because they were leaving didn’t mean he was done, but then the door opened and shut again. Ruby waited for a beat, just in case it was a fake out, but when there was no other noise after a few seconds she carefully climbed down. “You think it’s safe?” she whispered to Clint, leaning in close to his ear so that no one else could hear her if they were still there.
Even with all of the aggravation from having to hide from some dumbass adult, the tickle of Ruby’s breath in his ear gave Clint a pleasant shiver. Maybe he was just still buzzed and horny, and all of this would be hilarious in about five minutes when he knew they weren’t about to get caught. He slipped his arm around Ruby’s waist, listening hard for another moment or two himself, then he nodded a bit and gave her a lopsided grin. “Think so,” he whispered back. The part of his brain controlled by his dick wanted to get back to making out with her right then and there, but they were in a bathroom stall and he knew way too many guys who used it, so Clint thought a relocation was for the best. “You wanna try somewhere else? Or ... back to the dance?”
Ruby huffed a little laugh, then wrapped her arms around his neck and gave him a little kiss on the lips. “Definitely somewhere else,” she grinned. Back to the dance was also an option, but staying in the bathroom stall was not. She could wait till later to fool around of course, but her heart was still beating and she was still mildly turned on from the thrill of it all. They were seniors, this would probably be their last chance to fool around in the school, so why the fuck not? “Maybe some place a little less gross,” she teased, still keeping her voice down. They were for sure alone now, but it just seemed appropriate.
That sounded promising, like she wasn’t completely turned off by this ordeal, so Clint wasn’t about to drag her back to the dance in the gym. Dances were fun and all, but finding somewhere naughty and secluded to fuck his girlfriend under that pretty dress of hers was even better. “Think we can do that,” he murmured, that grin growing even wider. Clint let them out of the stall and let Ruby put her shoes back on, then led them toward the door that led out into the hallway. He already had few ideas of rooms that might be unlocked and definitely empty tonight. Adrenaline and hormones were still pumping through him, and he was ready to really enjoy this night with his girl.
