Max's smile grew slowly until he was all but beaming at her, amused and delighted. The prospect of a 'next time' didn't usually appeal to him but when she put it like that? "Maybe," he all but purred and the way her breasts lifted in that position was pretty hot but he managed to focus mostly on her face. He scooted over to her and ducked in for a little kiss. "I'll see myself out, no need for you to get cold," he murmured then and he'd finish getting dressed in the living room which was apparently where the rest of his clothes had ended up. "Thanks for a fun evening, officer."
If there was a next time, Bailey would enjoy it. If Max decided to leave tonight as a one time thing, that was okay too. But she got the feeling he wasn't looking for anything more than a good time, and that was the kind of guy Bailey had the most patience for. Bailey certainly didn't mind the quick kiss goodbye, and she appreciated that he didn't need her walking him out. He was a big boy, so that was nice. "Thanks for the ride. And the ride home," Bailey replied. "Can you just make sure the door is locked on your way out?" She might get up later, but the way she was feeling now, Bailey was pretty sure she would be asleep in a few minutes.
"In this town? I'll double check," Max promised and he meant it. He didn't really know how people survived this place without the kind of protection he had thanks to his family and hell, maybe that was one reason why he didn't get close to people easily. Knowing they could die or disappear at any moment? He'd seen it happen too often. Bailey seemed to understand the town better than some so she'd keep safe, or as safe as she could, but Max was absolutely not planning on 'catching feels'. He'd still do his part to keep her safe and if that was as simple as locking her door? Great. "Night," he murmured as he left her room, closing the door behind him. This night had gone a lot better than he'd expected and he was grinning to himself as he finished getting dressed and headed out.
