Re: Greg and Sebastian
Sebastian had never minded his best friend being completely and totally straight, but occasionally he wished he had at least one gay friend that he could talk freely with and relate to. He’d gotten so used to censoring himself that even the smallest slips felt like some kind of infraction. “Yeah,” he nodded, taking a sip of his soda. He’d add some rum to it when they got back to the table, so he needed to drink it down and make room. “They’re close. Logan mentioned they might move in together, once he gets a job.” He still thought that would be cool, living with his best friend, but he didn’t think that was in the cards for him and Greg.
For a split second Greg wondered why on earth they'd throw away money on rent when they could live with their parents for free a little longer but then he remembered not everyone was as lucky as he was, given the freedom he had and allowances, he wouldn't need to move anywhere until he wanted to. He really had no idea what Logan and Jasper's home lives were like and given their personalities it wouldn't surprise him if their families sucked. "So you guys actually talked?" he teased, even if he didn't really want to know the details. All he knew was that Logan Rees wasn't good enough for his best friend and he hoped it had really just been a rebound.
“A little,” Sebastian shrugged. “Just while he was driving. It felt weird to sit there in silence.” He realized after he said it that Greg wouldn’t know what the hell he was talking about and he added on. “I ran into him the other night, after A Christmas Story.” They’d talked at the party too, but that conversation was a lot more fuzzy and most of what he remembered had to do with Logan’s hand wrapped around his dick. The conversation in the car was a lot more clear, though thinking about that also steered his brain into what came after, something he didn’t need to be thinking about here or now.
"Yeah that's the problem with rebounds in a small town," Greg said with a little smirk. "You gotta be civil afterward because you're going to meet a lot." He nudged Bash again and smiled. "Let's get back, I need to find a duet for me and my girl." And see if he could get Jasper Lucas to sing. If anyone could it'd be Jules and maybe Greg should leave the guy alone, he'd lost his sister and all pretty recently so the fact he was out at all was a miracle. But that also meant that maybe he needed a good time and what better time than making an ass of himself on stage?
Sebastian’s brow furrowed for a second, not quite following what Greg was getting at, until he realized that Greg hadn’t picked up on what he was implying. Which was fine. He didn’t feel the need to clarify since Greg was right— you were going to run into just about everyone in a small town. That was the one bonus to Hunter leaving; he wouldn’t have to run into his ex. “You didn’t like any of my suggestions?” Sebastian laughed. There were plenty of songs out there, but he suspected that the best way to find a duet that he could sing with Phee would be just to ask her.
"Nope," Greg said firmly. "The ones I knew at least, way too corny, dude. Way too corny." He snickered and started for the table. There was a new song playing now and there were definitely people at their table who'd need to be pushed to go sing too. That was okay, Greg could be persuasive, though his type of persuasive was more like saying 'come on' a lot until people caved.
