Re: Sebastian and Jules
“I’d rather avoid the apocalypse completely,” Sebastian said. “I think being a boy scout might be more useful than being a witch. All those life survival skills. Unless, like, my sister, she can grow things. Maybe she could make us food. Potatoes and carrots and apples and shit. If the world implodes, come find us. We’ll start a farm,” he laughed. It was hard to picture Jules on a farm. Or Ophelia, for that matter. Except in the garden. For some reason, he imagined all of them in overalls with pigtails. It was absurd.
Ophelia could grow stuff. Had Sebastian told her that before? She couldn't even remember. But it sounded useful. If the world ended and they survived, Jules was just going to follow Bash and his sister around forever so she would never starve or die of thirst. "Farms are fun to look at in like, filtered pictures. But I bet they smell terrible," Jules said, wrinkling her nose. "You guys can do all the outside stuff, and I'll stay inside and bake muffins and bread all day. It'll be like... the 1800's or whatever." She started giggling, even though it was a bit mind blowing to think how easily they could be blasted back into pre-technology days at any moment. "Though now I'm thinking of Jasper like, getting all dirty shoveling and digging and stuff. It's kind of hot."
In his current state of mind, Sebastian wasn't sure what he'd told Jules and what he hadn't. She was just on the short list of people who knew he was a witch and it seemed obvious to him that Ophelia was too. Because they were family. "They smell bad because of livestock and shit. We'll be, like, all fruits and vegetables," Sebastian grinned. For some reason the image of Jules in the 1800s was highly amusing. Probably because he kept putting her in ankle length dresses with a bonnet. "He'd definitely make some nice eye candy. Just don't tell him I said that." Straight guys could be weird about finding out a gay guy thought they were hot. Jasper wasn't any more his type than Logan was, but he could see the appeal for sure.
"I won't. But he'd probably be flattered," she said with a snicker. Since Jasper thought about what kissing a guy would be like. Or something like that. She tried to imagine Jasper and Sebastian kissing, and yes, the image was kind of hot. She was just... possessive. Or whatever. The last thing Jules wanted was for Jasper to kiss some guy and realize dudes were so much better than her. "God, now I don't wanna go back downstairs," she groaned. "But if I don't, everyone will fuck up my house."
Maybe Jasper would be flattered. After all, one of his friends was gay, so it might not bother him the way Sebastian thought it bothered other guys. He was just trying to be cautious. The last thing he wanted was for Jules's boyfriend to be creeped out by him and not want him around Jules anymore. Though, really, he was one of the few guys Jasper didn't have to worry about. "Yeah, and if you stay up here, you can't drag your boy up here with you either," Sebastian teased. "That's, like, the best part of having your parents out of town." His didn't leave town often enough, in his opinion. Not that he had anyone to take advantage of it with. "Come on. I'll help you kick people out. Politely," he snickered. “If it’s time, I mean.”
She couldn't drag Jasper up there, but he could come find her. He'd know where she was eventually. But Jules knew she couldn't just hang around in her room with so many people in her house. "We'll let them have fun for a little longer, then we'll start kicking people out," she told him. "Sometimes that's the best part of a party. Telling everyone to go home." Besides, it was starting to snow and some people knew what it could be like to drive in that mess in this town. At least Sebastian only had to walk down the street.
