Sebastian and Jules
The party was still in full swing when Sebastian returned and he floated from one group to another, feeling generally fantastic. Maybe it was just being drunk, or getting off, that did it, but he held on to the thought that things weren’t that bad. Even the Justin and Brian seemed a little less like assholes. Billy had even given him a joint to “make things right”, though Sebastian was quick to point out that Greg and Phee were the ones he needed to apologize to. He kept the weed, though, and spent the next ten minutes looking for Greg when he decided to see what Jules was up to instead. She was far easier to find and he offered her a shot of marshmallow vodka as he stepped up beside her. “For the lady,” he grinned, handing her the little cup. “How’s it going?”
Jules was having a great time, and probably more drunk than she ought to have been at this point in the evening. But it was getting close to winter break, her parents were out of town and Jules felt like she deserved to let off some steam however she wanted to. If her dreamer friends heard her thoughts tonight, well, hopefully they would be entertained. When Sebastian approached, Jules turned towards him and grinned as he handed her the cup. She knew without even looking inside that it was marshmallow vodka. She probably ought to be drinking it with something else, but it tasted good enough on its own, if you asked her. "Hey, thanks," she said, bringing the cup up to her lips to finish it off quickly. "It's going fine," Jules continued, her voice a little louder over the music and chatter. "No one has knocked over the Christmas tree yet, so there's that! Are you having fun?" She hoped so. He looked flushed and happy, so that was a good sign, wasn't it?
“Don’t jinx it,” Sebastian laughed with a glance towards the Christmas tree. He loved these parties and he was glad Jules threw them, but he also thought she was out of her mind sometimes. The chance for disaster seemed so high and he knew that, if it was his house, his mother would ground him for the rest of the year if she found out. Being locked down that tight would drive him insane, so he stuck to small gatherings, the sort where he could control the crowd. “I am,” he grinned. “I may have defiled your brother’s bed, so yeah,” he added with a mock cringe, then a laugh, not at all aware that that was probably an overshare. “Then Billy gave me a joint an apology, so I’m all set. Can’t find Greg. Wanna share it with me?” He didn’t need anymore to drink at this point, not if he wanted to walk home, but he could extend the buzz into a high with no problem.
Jules's brows lifted as Sebastian spoke, and it sounded like he'd had a pretty busy night so far. But she was distracted by the offer of weed and since she didn't see Jasper anywhere, Jules nodded, grabbing Sebastian's arm to pull him out of the room. "Can't smoke down here but we can go to my room!" Or outside, but it was too damn cold for that right now. Her light sweater was designed more for fashion than comfort or warmth. "And then you can tell me what you did to Jason's bed and if I need to run interference or not!"
“I figured as much,” Sebastian laughed and then let her pull him along, familiar with the direction they were heading. He wasn’t even sure they could smoke in the house, but with her parents out of town there was probably plenty of time for the smell to dissipate. He was sure there was a spell for that, to clean the air, but it was one of the many thing he didn’t know and couldn’t ask. “Why would you need to run interference?” he asked, realizing he might be slightly naive on this account. He’d never actually hooked up with anyone before and assumed everything would be fine.
