Jasper & Logan
After heading back downstairs following his encounter with Sebastian, Logan went immediately into the kitchen to grab a new drink, having left his red cup upstairs in Jules’s brother’s room. He found an unopened beer, popped the top and then started to drink as he wandered through the various rooms to find Jasper. He eventually found Jules in the dining room with a gaggle of her friends. They were all giggling away over something and Logan paused long enough to appreciate their asses before he turned away to walk through the kitchen again towards the living room.
He was starting to wonder if Jasper ditched out and went home before he spotted his friend through the kitchen window. Jasper was just outside on the back deck smoking, so Logan stepped out to join him. The amount of alcohol consumed probably meant he’d stay warm for a bit, but the long sleeved t-shirt helped too.
“Was starting to think you went home,” Logan said with a grin, holding out his hand to take Jasper’s cigarette so he could have a quick hit. “I don’t recognize like, half of these people.”
The thing about Jules’s parties was that they were always populated with Jules’s friends, and those people wore on Jasper’s nerves after a while. He was always welcome to invite his own friends, of course, but in truth he just didn’t have that many. And most of the guys he did casually hang around with wouldn’t have been caught dead at Overlook unless they were there to steal shit. Not the sort of people Jasper would invite into his girlfriend’s home.
She had let him invite Logan though, which Jasper was relieved for. He’d lost track of his buddy at some point, but he was intoxicated enough to feel okay about that. He’d needed a break from the noise however, so off to the back porch it had been. Jasper looked over at Logan as he emerged from the house, giving him a lopsided smile as he offered his cigarette over. There was a red cup in his hand with some hard liquor in it, and he’d been smoking more than tobacco out there. “Nah man, I’m committed to the whole party ... comes with datin’ the host. Ess. Don’t even like, ask me their names, man,” he said, glancing blearily over his shoulder. “Buncha motherfuckers.” He took a sip from his cup.
