Sebastian and Logan
Logan had never been inside Jules Cooper’s house before. Honestly, he had never even given her house much thought. Overlook homes were not ones he was generally invited to, even before getting kicked out of school and moving to Virginia for his senior year. It wasn’t like the rich kid mansions someone would see on those cheesy CW shows, but it was nice and much bigger than where his mom and dad both lived. Not to mention crowded. He had by invited by Jasper, which was cool, but he only recognized a handful of people in the house, which told him how little he actually paid attention in school. Jasper wandered off with Jules after they had been there a while and Logan was on his third drink feeling pleasantly buzzed and flirting with whoever showed interest in it. He knew some people remembered him, and he was asked an intrusive question or two, but none of them bothered him. Logan was who he was and he did what he did and that was that. No apologies, no regrets, right?
Wandering into the kitchen to refill his cup, he couldn’t help but think the kitchen itself may be bigger than his dad’s entire home. It was definitely possible. But the island counter was huge and full of beer and liquor bottles, some of which were half to nearly empty. Empty cups and abandoned cups were littered about, one of which knocked over as he reached for the whiskey bottle.
Sebastian hadn’t expected to be in the mood for a party. He was worried that he’d mope around the whole time, that in Jules’s house he’d be reminded of the first time he met Hunter, right after Homecoming, but it turned out to be just what he needed. He’d always been a happy, flirtatious drunk, and it turned out that his post-breakup melancholy was no match for an unlimited supply of liquor. He played bartender to anyone that would let him, unabashedly flirted with girls who knew he had no interest in them, and failed so miserably at flip-cup that he’d banned himself from the game for the rest of the night. But he was having a wonderful time. He’d only thought of Hunter fleetingly, with the realization that he had no reason to crash at Greg’s that night, but he refused to let it ruin his night. Being single wasn’t that bad if he didn’t think about it too much, and he could get as drunk as he wanted with no one to disappoint at the end of the night if he passed out. When he found his cup empty once more, he made his way towards the kitchen to make himself another.
He was looking for the whiskey when someone tipped a cup over and the remains sloshed towards him, spilling off the counter. “Shit,” Sebastian laughed, immediately looking for something to mop up the mess. As he grabbed a paper towel from the roll, his eyes ticked up to the guy across from him, then the bottle in his hand. “Hey, can I have that when you’re done?” he asked, nodding towards the bottle.
Logan was pouring from the bottle into his cup when Sebastian spoke to him. He had recognized Sebastian earlier, but that hadn't been terribly difficult to do, even with being gone for almost a full year. There were many dudes he'd gone to school with who had that color hair. Plus, the rich kids always made themselves known at school, intentionally or not. The dude looked flushed and drunk, which is how it should be at a party. "This?" Logan asked, nodding toward the bottle. "I mean, I was planning on drinking the rest, but I'd be willing to share if you really want some. You just have to say please." Logan smirked a little and then took a sip from his cup.
