Who: Hunter & Sebastian
Where: Clint's place
When: Evening 12/2
Status: Complete
When word got around that Clint was having a party after the game, Sebastian jumped at it, eager to have a chance to let go a little. He realized it had only been a couple weeks since the last one, but so much had happened since then. Plus, they'd all been feeling that weird high at the bonfire, so it almost didn't count. This was a good opportunity to bond with the other guys on the team, to prove he was still the same person, though he did go out of his way to avoid Kyle and the guys that had been harassing Phee. He didn't want to risk another fight, no matter how much those guys deserved to have their teeth knocked in.
He also wanted the chance to be out with Hunter. Not just out on a date, or together at school, but at a party the way they'd always wanted to enjoy a party together. He liked being seen with him, liked having people know they were together, even if he was still nervous about receiving their judgement. Sebastian was proud to call Hunter his boyfriend and the only way people were going to get used to it was by seeing them together.
But that also meant he couldn't haul Hunter off to a corner and make out with him all evening. So Sebastian was hanging with a small group that had been playing a meandering game of I Never, his fingers laced with Hunter's as he lightheartedly argued with Mara about why Cap was a better superhero than Thor. He was barely paying attention to the game, only attempting to pick up the cues when he was supposed to drink, and missed the point at which it switched to something different until Heather called out to him.
"Bastian-- Noah, Justin, and Clint," Heather said with a laugh and a sip of her beer.
"What about them?" Sebastian asked, brows drawing together in confusion. They were all on the team with him, but otherwise he was confused. He looked towards Noah, hoping for clarification, but the guy just snickered.
“Fuck, marry, or kill-- Noah, Justin, and Clint,” Heather replied, looking rather proud of herself.
Sebastian stared at her for a second, his eyes widening as he began to shake his head. “No way,” he laughed, feeling heat climb up his neck. “None. No. Not answering that. When did we start playing this?” he asked, eyes searching the group before landing on Hunter. Had he realized they’d moved on? This game was significantly easier when they’d given him girls. Plus, the last thing he wanted was Hunter thinking he wanted any of them.
Hunter was having a great time. They'd won the game, they were at a party, nobody had given them a hard time and he had alcohol. Plus there was a promise of a night at Greg's, even if he knew he was probably going to get into trouble for it. It was worth it - at least he was determined to make it worth it.
He was just tipsy enough that the sudden change of game made perfect sense to him and he laughed at the Deer in the Headlight look on his boyfriend's face at that question. "Come on," he drawled, laughing a little. "You need to answer that. I wanna know if we get the same answers." He drank then, his gaze still fixed on Sebastian. Granted he didn't want to kill any of those guys but he knew - if it came down to it - who he'd fuck and marry over the others. He was in a good mood so it was just a laugh and he was curious to see if they had similar taste in guys outside of their relationship.
Sebastian bit his lip as he looked back at Hunter, then ran his fingers through his hair as he laughed, eyes raising to the ceiling for a second of thought. It wasn’t a hard question to answer, just one he wouldn’t have ever admitted to unless caught in the game. “Okay, um… Fuck Clint, Marry Noah, and Kill Justin,” he admitted to the small group around him, then hid his embarrassment behind his beer as he took another sip.
“Wait, why do I get Marry?” Noah complained with a smile. Heather giggled beside him.
“Would you rather I kill you?” Sebastian laughed as Noah shook his head. If Noah had seemed actually upset in any way, Sebastian might have clammed up, but Noah seemed amused and Sebastian was nicely buzzing, so he gave a little more with a smile and a shrug. “I dunno. You’re hot, but Clint’s more my type? And Justin won’t wash his game socks till the end of the season, so someone should kill him.” That won a laugh from Noah, as well as a few others, and Sebastian found himself relaxing again. He squeezed Hunter’s hand as he finished off his beer and felt the blush that had surely taken over start receding. “Happy?” he asked Heather as he started to pull himself to his feet, tugging Hunter with him.
“Very,” she grinned back at him. “You leaving? Did we scare you off? It’s your turn.”
“No, just getting another,” Sebastian said as he shook his empty cup at her, though he didn’t mind stepping away for a minute. “Um… Mara— Brian, Brent, and Mason.” He didn’t really care about the answers, but wouldn’t be the one to stop the game either.
Hunter happily went wherever Sebastian pulled him so he got up as well, quickly knocking back the last of his beer so he had a reason to go with Sebastian and fill up his cup. Heather seemed to know exactly who she wanted to fuck, marry or kill and rattled off the names in rapid succession, making Hunter laugh again. It also meant they were legally excused from the game for now since it wasn't either of their turn and Hunter wrapped his arm around Sebastian's waist as they headed for the kitchen. "Good to know that we'll have it easy picking a third if we ever decide on a threesome," he joked since Sebastian's choices had been the same as Hunter's, Clint was very pretty and neither he nor Noah had been assholes to him so that made it easier.
“Clint might have something to say about that,” Sebastian laughed, leaning into Hunter. He had no idea what their host would think of that if it got back around to him, but hopefully he was as good about it as Noah had been. He didn’t know how to explain it, but it felt like acceptance. “I was wondering who you’d pick, but I don’t really want to share you.” There was a part of him that was curious about what that might be like, having two guys at once, but what he really wanted at the moment was a night alone with Hunter. Which he was going to get tonight, thanks to Greg. Sebastian realized that he was going forever owe Greg for letting them use his spare room, but it was totally and completely worth it.
"I didn't mean with him," Hunter said hurriedly and the last thing he needed was some rumor that he was into Clint. "I mean more like a hypothetical threesome. In college or something." He pulled Sebastian to stop so he could wrap both arms around him, grinning up at him. "I don't want to share you either. I just want to be with you." He leaned up to kiss Sebastian, then pulled back and drawled, "But I mean if I had to pick someone, out of those three? Definitely Clint too. Like if it was a pick or die situation."
“I know,” Sebastian laughed as he kissed Hunter back. He loved that they could do this, just stop and kiss and share a moment like any other couple. If there were guys around that had a problem with it, they were either smart enough to hold their tongues or Sebastian was buzzed enough that he didn’t notice them. “That sounds like some weird, kinky version of Russian roulette,” he grinned. “It wasn’t a hard choice. I just don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable, you know?”
Hunter snickered and kissed him again briefly before taking his hand and dragging him toward the drinks. "Yeah, the last thing we need is a rumor that we're looking for a third," he said enthusiastically before looking around and adding a pointed, "We're not," at anyone who might have been listening. He turned to Sebastian again and put his cup down to refill it. "We're not, right?" He was teasing of course, it was easy to be flippant about it when he was a little tipsy and there was good music playing and he was still riding a high from their second victory this week.
Sebastian followed behind Hunter, draping his arms around his waist and laughing into his neck when he voiced his clarification to anyone who might have been listening in to their conversation. “Not tonight,” he snickered in agreement. “I’ve got a laundry list of things I wanna do with you before we even get close to something like that.” He felt like that was the kind of thing that people did when they’d done everything else together and he and Hunter were just getting started. There was so much they hadn’t done and so much he wanted to try, but thinking about it was such a bad idea, especially when he was all pressed up on Hunter, closer than he really needed to be.
Having Sebastian draped against him like that definitely put ideas in Hunter's head and he felt a little warmer, though it was easy to blame the alcohol for that. "That sounds like a promise," he all but purred as he poured them drinks and oh yes, his mind was wandering now, to all the things they wanted to do, to the things he wanted to do tonight. He thought Sebastian was on the same page and he hoped he was and at the same time he didn't really want to talk about it, not now and not here. He turned a little and offered up Sebastian's cup. "I'll take you up on that."
“You better,” Sebastian smirked, his hands sliding down to give Hunter’s ass a squeeze before he pulled them back to accept the drink. He had to keep reminding himself that they needed to be social, that they’d have plenty of time for fooling around later. It wasn’t that he wasn’t having fun, because he definitely was, but the anticipation of ‘later’ was starting to get to him. “Do you wanna go back to the game? I didn’t mind I Never so much, but I don’t really care who people might fuck, marry or kill.” Neither of their names were likely to come up, so it would just be for their own amusement.
Hunter wasn't sure how he was supposed to concentrate on anything when Sebastian kept touching him like that. He felt warm already and Sebastian's hand on his ass just made him feel warmer to the point he was sure it was showing as he pulled Sebastian out of the kitchen with him, unable to keep from snickering. It was so tempting to sneak into a random bedroom here at the party but even tipsy, Hunter figured they were already in hot water with the team and maybe they could stand not to piss off the ones who weren't already against them. "I really don't care who they want to do what with, I only care what you want to do and who with," he murmured, slipping his arm around Sebastian's waist.
Sebastian had already considered sneaking off with Hunter several times now, but had hit the point that if they were going to disappear it might as well be back to Greg’s spare room, rather than some place they couldn’t settle in. Though he’d found that some of the guys didn’t seem to have a problem with him, they still might flip the fuck out if they walked in on him and Hunter together. “That’s easy,” he said, his voice dropping to a softer pitch as Hunter moved in closer to him. “I want you.” And he could say all the things he wanted Hunter to do to him, but it felt like too much to admit to there at the party. They weren’t the kind of things he wanted other people overhearing. “I’m having a really hard time not dragging you back to Greg’s place,” he laughed softly.
Hunter almost whined at that. He had thought, much like Sebastian, that they could use tonight to smooth things over with some of their teammates but it was so tempting to just leave. "Okay," he said firmly, more for himself than for Sebastian. "Let's try to socialize for... thirty more minutes. Then we leave, okay?" It wasn't late at all and it was probably lame to leave even thirty minutes from now but it was an effort.
Thirty minutes was nothing, Sebastian thought, at least compared to how long he’d normally stay in the past. But Greg wasn’t there, which felt kind of weird, he’d never partied without Greg, and there were a few people he was carefully avoiding. That, plus the knowledge that alone time with Hunter came after made it harder than usual to hang around. “Sounds good,” he smiled and gave Hunter a quick kiss on the lips. Quick because if he lingered then he’d most likely end up making out with him where they stood. “Let’s go see who’s winning at beer pong. We can cheer on the underdog.”
It felt like thirty minutes would take forever to pass by, time always seemed to go slower when he was waiting for something, but Hunter found it wasn't so bad. They managed to hang in there for a while without any trouble. Maybe Hunter was being paranoid but he had a feeling that if they stayed very late to the point where everyone got very drunk, there might be trouble. People let loose when they were drunk and after everything that had happened this week, he really didn't want to be around Kyle when he 'let loose'. He checked his phone on the regular - probably too often, considering he was supposed to be having fun - then snuggled up against Sebastian. "You ready to get out of here?" he said in his ear, just loud enough to be heard over the music and people talking loudly around them.
They’d hit that point where Sebastian didn’t want to have any more to drink, where he liked the buzz he had but didn’t want to end up plastered. He’d been enjoying the party, but ready to go the second Hunter suggested it, his lips curling up in response, his arm tightening on Hunter’s waist. “Let’s go,” he whispered, backing them out of the group they’d been a part of. No one was likely to notice if they snuck off, not at this point of the night. His hand slipped down to hold Hunter’s as they moved through the party and he only stopped when they were outside, the cold air hitting him hard. “It’s a short walk to Greg’s,” he said, pulling Hunter in for a quick kiss. “You warm enough?”
It was so quiet outside compared to in the house, it was almost jarring to get out of there. Hunter nodded at Sebastian's question and pulled his beanie from his pocket, pulling it on before snuggling up to Sebastian's side again. "Are you?" he asked, pulling his hands into the sleeves of his jacket, ready to walk briskly to Greg's place. It was a bit slippery in places but go figure that the Overlook streets were well taken care of and easy to walk.
“Yeah,” Sebastian smiled, looping his arm through Hunter’s to help keep them steady in case of ice or just being clumsy while buzzed or to help keep them warm. But mostly because he didn’t want to let him go. The cold didn’t bother him all that much, but he still hurried them along, eager to get back inside and warm Hunter up. While he was chatty along the way, he went quiet when they got to Greg’s, not really sure who was up or who was there at that point. It was late enough that Ophelia might have gone home to meet curfew, but she could’ve always found someone to cover for her instead. Even though he had a key, it always felt like he was sneaking in.
