Who: Greer and Rost and Dev
When: Monday, Nov 27, midday
Where: Seaview
Warning: turns a bit NSFW
Status: complete
Cleaning up the mess in the graveyard had taken Rost almost all day, even with Zania lending a hand for a bit. Then there had been all the red tape around the destruction -- informing the cemetery owners, showing them the pictures he’d taken, making sure he had the plot numbers right. It was late by the time all of that was done, so Rost had just gone to bed. He’d slept in a while, then gotten up and done a walk-around to make sure nothing else had exploded overnight. All the stone was intact, so he’d packed himself a little bag and left the cemetery, locking up his trailer behind him. He hated to leave it unattended, and he definitely planned to go back every day to fulfill his duties, but until whatever needed to be magically sorted was sorted, he wanted to spend the nights somewhere that felt safer.
So he drove to Seaview, to Greer and Dev’s place. They’d made the offer a dozen times for him to stay with them, and while he’d spent nights there a few times, Rost hadn’t wanted to invade their space and move in. Now though, he felt like he had more of an excuse to do so, at least for a little while. He knew he was welcome, but he still felt a bit awkward walking up to the front door, and Rost straightened his back some after he’d knocked. He wasn’t a beggar, he was a lover, and he just needed some of their space and love for a bit while his own home was haunted.
Greer had just gotten home with a bag of groceries when Rost knocked on the door. She spared a quick glance out the kitchen window and immediately smiled at the sight of his car. She was thrilled anytime he came to see her and Dev, and Greer had been giving some thought to heading to the cemetery later to spend some time with him at his trailer. Now she didn't have to! Greer left the remaining groceries on the kitchen counter and walked to the front door to open it for Rost. She noticed his bag right away but didn't comment on it as she shooed him inside. "I'll get you a key," she said in greeting as she pressed a kiss to his cheek. "You should never have to knock, you know. Just come inside. This is your home too."
It was as warm a welcome as ever, and it made Rost completely glad to be there. He stepped inside and smiled back at her. “Thank you,” he murmured. “You do not know how I needed to hear that.” Rost set his duffel bag down and waited for Greer’s hands to be free from the door, then he pulled her into a close, tight hug. Rost just clung to her for a moment, kissing her temple when he finally pulled back. “Do you promise, though? Because I believe I must lean on your hospitality.” He gave her a wan half-smile. Rost was gracious with his own home, but he’d learned not to expect the same from others. He always appreciated it, however.
Greer returned his hug, squeezing his lean body tight and smiling as he kissed her temple. "Of course I promise. You know you're welcome here anytime, and for as long as you need." Greer also knew the responsibility Rost felt toward the cemetery and its inhabitants, so she had to assume something must have happened to lead him here. She touched his cheek comfortingly before taking his hand to lead him into the small kitchen with her so they could talk while she finishing putting the groceries away. "Do you want to tell me what happened? You haven't been hurt, have you?"
Rost went with her without hesitation, and once he spotted the grocery bags, he moved to help unload them as they talked. He didn’t know where Greer put everything, so he just set it all out on the counter. “There was another incident at the cemetery,” he said with real regret. After a soft sigh, Rost told Greer about the destroyed headstones, the ghost woman and her heat, and then what he thought was happening -- a witch had disturbed a long-dead witch’s grave and kicked all of this off. Rost hadn’t told his lovers all the details he knew about Reagan’s business with Baron, because it seemed to be a private thing, but he found himself laying it all out now, as much of the story as he knew. Greer and Dev were both spiritually sensitive, so he at least knew they wouldn’t think he was crazy for any of this, and that was a comfort.
Greer listened without interruption as Rost explained to her what had happened in the cemetery. She frowned as she put things in the cabinets and refrigerator. "That sounds extremely dangerous and complicated," Greer murmured, once Rost had finished his story. "But love is worth the risk for so many people. Is there nothing that can be done about the ghost? Can the living witch rebury her, for lack of a better term? Does anyone know she's existing in our world right now?" That seemed to be a fairly important detail, if you asked Greer. Especially if this ghost was powerful enough to physically destroy something like a headstone. The spirits Greer had always felt had never been able to harm anything in the physical world.
It was dangerous and complicated, at least for people like Rost who didn’t have any magical talent. He didn’t have the answers to all of Greer’s questions, as he harbored the same ones himself, but he nodded anyway. “I have told Reagan already that I saw her. I was going to contact her again today to tell her what happened with the stones,” he said. “And another witch I know, Zania Castell, also came by yesterday, so now she knows too.” Rost didn’t worry about ‘outing’ either of them, Greer was a trustworthy person to tell. It wasn’t like Zania did much to hide herself anyway. “I am hoping they can fix. But who knows, with these things. Meantime, I wanted to stay with you if I could,” he added, still sounding a little cautious about it even if he was sure now she would say yes.
Greer offered him a smile and she rubbed his arm while passing by to place a bottle of wine into the fridge. "Of course. We have plenty of room for you. You can stay as long as you need to, or want to. Dev will be thrilled to have you here more often. I'm sorry you're having to deal with this. I can't imagine what it would be like to sleep while a destructive spirit roams the land around you." She didn't recognize the names terribly well, despite the fact that she and Dev have been in town for awhile. Some faces and names stuck, while others flitted in and out of her mind. "We'll have a wonderful dinner to celebrate your first night with us." Greer suggested, shutting the fridge and turning back to him. "Anything you want." She was already imagining being able to snuggle up between Rost and Dev in their bed, and while she wished he wasn't dealing with what he was dealing with, she had to admit she was pleased that it had brought him here.
“Thank you,” Rost said, probably unnecessarily. He smiled at the offer of dinner and hoped that Dev was thrilled. He’d already spent a few nights here and there with them, but moving in was different, however temporary it ended up being. So the welcome warmed him all the way through. Greer’s offer to make a special dinner made him crave a couple of very specific dishes from his childhood, but the feeling was fleeting. “Anything hearty you wish to make would be wonderful,” he told her with a sheepish grin. “Meat and potatoes would make me happy. I am not picky” Rost had been in a depression downswing for a while, and he hadn’t been feeding himself a lot of good food in general, along with too much alcohol. Maybe the break from his trailer would make him healthier too.
"Meat and potatoes it is then," Greer said, walking over to cup his face. She pushed up her toes to press a kiss to his lips. "Meat and potatoes and wine and good company. We'll make sure you're safe here, no matter what happens. Maybe some time away from the cemetery will do you good. You look exhausted." It had to be exhausting from time to time, surrounding oneself with the dead, and the grief that came with them. Rost seemed like he could handle it, but even the strongest souls needed a rest every now and then. "Did you want to lay down for a bit? Or we could play a game of cards. Anything you want."
It felt so easy and natural to slip an arm around Greer as she kissed him, and Rost kept her close for the moment. He had so missed the small aspects of being in a relationship in the years between Delle had left his life and Dev and Greer had come into it, the casual affection most of all. Humans were a social, tactile species, and bodies were meant to be touched. “Time with you will certainly do me good,” he murmured warmly. He pressed another soft kiss to Greer’s lips, then loosened his grip on her. “I need a shower before anything, then perhaps a lie down before Dev returns?” He enjoyed living in his trailer, but he had to admit that the bed here was much better, and Rost was looking forward to stretching out with company.
Being a 'touchy' person by nature, it felt right to touch and comfort Rost where and whenever she could. She loved that he always seemed to embrace it, since there were plenty of people who wouldn't. When he mentioned showering, Greer simply nodded and pressed another kiss to his chin. "You know where the towels are. Take as much time as you need." She would text Dev to let him know they'll be having company for the next few days, or even longer. Greer knew he would be as thrilled with Rost's company as she was, despite the circumstances. "I'll finish up in here and come join you in bed when you're ready."
“Thank you, love,” Rost murmured, and kissed Greer’s forehead in return. He let her go to turn and head toward the bedroom and bathroom, leaving his bag behind for now. He didn’t plan on getting dressed again for a while after he got cleaned up. Rost took his time in the shower, sniffing the shampoo and body wash indulgently before he washed himself. This place always felt cleaner than his trailer, and he liked to make himself cleaner to match. Once he was done with the shower, Rost helped himself to their mouthwash and ran his fingers through his damp hair to get it back out of his face. He hung the towel up and padded into the bedroom to slip into bed with a satisfied little grunt.
With the groceries put away, Greer sent Dev a quick text explaining things. She still planned on cooking them both dinner so she left the pork chops she had splurged on in the fridge to fry up later that evening. Once she heard Rost make his way into the bedroom, Greer picked up his bag and carried it there, smiling when she found him in bed. "You definitely look like you belong there," she told him, setting his bag on the floor so she could crawl up onto the bed to join him. Greer stretched out beside him, pressing a kiss against his shoulder. "Feeling any better?"
Rost had been mid-stretch when Greer entered the bedroom, and he gave a deep chuckle at her words. “Mama always told me I was like a cat, comfortable anywhere,” he murmured as he watched her approach and climb in as well. She was wearing too many clothes, in his humble opinion, but that could be rectified. Or not, depending on their moods. “I do feel I belong here, so yes, much better.” Rost pressed a kiss to Greer’s head. “And cleaner, so I probably smell better too.” It was probably the company, but the little mobile home Dev and Greer had moved into currently felt much more welcoming than his own place. He didn’t want to overstay his welcome, but he wasn’t eager to go back either. “Thank you again,” Rost murmured softly. “So much.”
Greer teasingly pressed her nose to his bare chest to 'sniff' him and then smiled. "Definitely you smell better, yes. And you don't have to thank me for anything. This is your home as much as it is ours. We both want you to be safe." And because he looked so comfortable Greer sat up on her knees to pull both her sweater and her dress up over her head. As usual, she wasn't wearing a bra so she slipped beneath the blankets to curl up against him, her arm snaking over his middle. "Maybe we should invest in a bigger bed," she murmured pleasantly.
His brow quirked when Greer sat up, but a smile took over his face as he watched what she did. She was just so goddamn beautiful, it still felt like a small miracle when she pressed herself against him. Rost settled in comfortably with Greer in the crook of his arm and lazily pressed his lips against her head again. He gave a faint chuckle. “I would kick in for part of it,” he offered, his tone light but sincere. “Since I would use it with you.” He drifted his fingertips along Greer’s upper back, feeling his whole being slowly relaxing. “Speak of safe, though ... I thought maybe Dev could help at the cemetery ... perhaps speak to the ghost woman? Do you know if he can do such at will?”
Greer frowned and shook her head softly. "His ability is very sporadic. He can only talk to them if they appear when he's touching something. Maybe he could come with you to the cemetery and touch her headstone? I don't know that it would work, but it wouldn't hurt to try and I'm sure he'd be willing to do it for you." Her own fingertips drew soft circles around his skin. She felt comfortable and content pressed up against Rost, and she found herself hoping he would stay indefinitely, though that likely meant the ghost problem lingered.
That seemed like something Rost should’ve known, and maybe Dev had told him and he’d just forgotten. It was easy to forget everything else in the world except how his lovers made him feel, Rost had discovered. He remembered having the same thing happen when he was with Delle. Like nothing else mattered. Already the haunted graveyard seemed not so bad, not with Greer’s bare skin on his and her fingers touching him. He stroked her hair and hummed. “I am sure,” he murmured. “I would just not want to put him in danger. It is not my mess, but was just a thought.”
"It's not a bad thought," Greer told him, lifting her face a bit to get a better look at him without having to pull away. "It's not your mess, but it's affecting where you live, and where you work. We can ask Dev when he gets home if he'd be willing to try. If it doesn't work, then it doesn't work. If nothing else, maybe he can touch something that will give him some insight into what she wants? I don't know." Greer wanted to help if she could, and she knew Dev would feel the same. She pressed a kiss against his skin. "I don't think Dev is afraid of a little danger. It's worth it if we can help in some way."
Rost smiled softly, gazing at her with warmth. He’d had a lot of help from people in his life -- and given as much as he could back -- and he always appreciated it, but when it came from someone he loved, it sparked such a deep sense of gratitude that it made him emotional. He lifted his head to kiss her lips. “I love you both,” he murmured. “Bless whatever force brought you here.” Rost was a big believer in fate and karma and reasons behind everything anyway, but it really seemed like even a skeptic would agree that the three of them had been brought together for a purpose. Rost rolled onto his side and pulled Greer in close again, nuzzling her nose with his as he tangled their legs together. “When does Dev arrive home?”
"There are silver linings in even in darkness," Greer agreed, smiling as she kissed him back. Her arm slipped over his waist and she snuggled up close again, wanting to feel their skin pressed together. The question about Dev had her humming in response as she peppered kisses along his cheek and down to his scruffy jaw. "I don't know when he'll be back. I don't know that he's ever left here on some specific timeline. He likes to wander." They both did. And thank goodness for that. "I did send him a text that you were here, so I'm betting he's probably already on his way."
She was more accurate than she could have predicted. Her words were barely out of her mouth when the front door opened and Dev came bustling in, juggling a few bags and bumping the door shut with his butt then kicking his shoes off. He made plenty of noise for it to be heard to the bedroom and after dumping the bags in the kitchen he made a beeline for the bedroom, poking his head in and grinning at the sight of his lovers. "Well ain't that a sight-" he murmured. "Do you lovebirds want some alone time?" It was tongue in cheek, he knew they were all happy to share their time undivided but he did need to put away groceries and shower before he crawled in with them.
Rost grinned a bit when he heard Devlin start to come in. He didn’t do anything quietly, and there was something so homey and familiar about that. Rost didn’t think much about how quiet his living situation was until he was visiting other people, but sometimes he was reminded of how much he missed being surrounded by life. He snuck one more kiss in against Greer’s lips before her man arrived in the doorway, then gave him the same lazy grin. “There is always room for you,” he murmured, idly stroking his fingers through the hair at Greer’s temple. “If Greer is not feeling selfish.”
Greer heard Dev when he walked in the trailer and she smiled against Rost, lifting her head just a bit when Dev entered the room. "We were hoping you would be home soon," Greer told him. "And we definitely want you to join us, if you've got the time." That much would have been obvious enough. It would be more than nice to have both Dev and Rost's warmth pressed up against her. It was the way it should be. Rost hadn't even been there a couple of hours and Greer was already hoping he would stay indefinitely.
Dev leaned against the doorframe, giving himself a little time to just enjoy watching them. "I've got the time, keep a spot warm for me? I need to put this stuff away before it melts all over our kitchen." He was digging the domesticity of living in an actual apartment with Greer again but it did come with boring chores that a hotel allowed for an escape from. "And shower, but that won't take but a few minutes." He hummed softly and grinned as he looked them over, then visibly forced himself to pull away and dart off back to the kitchen.
Rost was tempted to tell him to forego the shower, because they would probably all be getting dirty again very soon, but he understood the desire to clean up for one’s lovers. It had been a little while since the three of them had all been in the same bed, and he was admittedly looking forward to it. Rost looked over at Greer as Dev disappeared, smirking slightly. “We can stay warm, yes?” he murmured before tilting his head to brush his lips against hers. There was a tiny worry in the back of his mind that Dev wouldn’t want him to stay long-term as readily as Greer did, but it wasn’t something to fret about at the moment. They could talk logistics after love.
Greer watched Dev disappear, smiling as she turned back to Rost. He wouldn't take long at all, she knew that much. "We will definitely be able to stay warm," she agreed as she returned his kiss. She wasn't the least bit worried about how Dev felt about Rost staying. He loved Rost as much as she did, and this was his home as much as it was theirs. "He won't be long," Greer murmured against Rost's lips. "But I can keep you occupied until he comes back." She shifted beneath the blankets until she was laying on top of his body, her breasts brushing against his chest. Greer kissed him thoroughly before a mischievous smile curved at her lips and she scooted down beneath the blankets to give him adequate attention, pressing quick kisses against his stomach as she made her way towards his cock.
Greer knew Dev well, he was a miserable creature without his people around and he'd often fretted about how lonely Rost must feel living all by himself in that trailer. Of course not everyone was like him, some people liked solitude, Rost just didn't feel like one of those people to him. He was warmth and joy and song and Dev always felt a pang of loneliness thinking of him by himself. He was giddy now as he hurriedly put away the groceries, leaving the stuff that didn't need cool storage on the table to be dealt with later. No, he had more important things to do right now, like get the shower over with and get in bed with his lovers. He didn't take long at all. Just a quick soaping and rinsing before he was darting to the bedroom as naked as the day he was born. He was laughing a little as he crawled up on the bed, pausing only momentarily to decide where in this love-fest he wanted to be before settling next to Rost. He gave his neck a little smooch, glancing at the lump under the blanket. "Look at my beautiful people right where I want them," he murmured, not worried about interrupting.
Greer’s mouth wrapped around his cock certainly made the time it took for Dev to join them pass by quickly. Rost only vaguely heard puttering in the kitchen, then the shower running, and then Dev was there by his side. He grinned crookedly, his body feeling warm and aroused but oh so relaxed at the same time. “Funny, this is where I want to be as well,” he murmured back with a faint chuckle. It was followed closely by a hum of pleasure, and Rost scraped his teeth over his bottom lip before he leaned in to brush a kiss against the other man’s lips. Meanwhile, he took his fingers out of Greer’s hair to fold the blanket back to reveal her -- and give her some air and room.
Greer was enjoying herself, exploring Rost's body beneath the blanket while they waited for Dev. She was slow and lazy licking and sucking Rost's cock until she felt the blankets move and some cooler air hit her face. Greer opened her eyes and peered up Rost's body to see Dev and she smiled, despite her mouth being otherwise occupied. Wrapping her fingers around the base of Rost's cock, Greer released him with a quick lick to the tip. "Hello, love. Do you feel better after your shower?" She could smell his clean skin from where she was and she reached out with her free hand to brush it over his hip.
"Oh don't let me interrupt what you're up to," Dev teased, tugging the covers over Greer's head again, but only momentarily and in jest. "Get back to it." He pulled them back with a warm grin, running his fingers over her hair, then down to her cheek. "As if I'd deprive myself of that view..." He turned his head to brush his lips over Rost's jaw, snuggling in closer. "But really, don't let me interrupt."
“It is not interrupting if you were invited,” Rost murmured warmly, enjoying the feel of both of them so close to him. It was often easy for him to forget how much he loved skin to skin contact when he’d spent a lot of time alone, but Dev and Greer made him feel absolutely spoiled on it. Gods, he hoped they didn’t get sick of him too fast. The worry seemed distant at the moment, with the three of them weighing down the mattress so deliciously. He turned his head to catch Dev’s lips with his own, his fingers drifting into Greer’s hair as well.
Greer laughed a little when Dev teased her, but she nuzzled his fingers when they touched her cheek before returning her attention to Rost. "He's going to stay with us for a while," she murmured to Dev in between exploring Rost's cock with her tongue and lips. "I think we should show him how much we want him here." Because even if he hadn't said so, Greer knew he must be a bit worried that he would overstay his welcome. If Greer had her way, he would stay forever, whether it was here with them, or elsewhere. As long as they were all together.
"You finally succumbed to my charm then?" Dev all but purred at Rost upon hearing he was staying. He was more than happy to shower him with affection too, show him just how welcome he was in their little home. "I'm glad you're here," he added, rubbing Rost's chest in slow, gentle circles. "I see our girl has you plenty occupied for now." He grinned and ducked his head in to kiss Rost's neck.
“For a while, yes.” Rost grinned happily at the exchange between his lovers, even more warmth blooming in his chest. He did feel welcomed, in ways that had nothing to do with how good they were making his body feel, but Rost knew himself well enough to know that doubt would creep in eventually. They would just obviously have to all stay in bed all the time. That solution sounded pretty good at the moment. Rost tilted his head to give Dev room, moaning softly at the feel of Greer’s tongue on him. “Only part of me,” he murmured in response to Dev, grinning briefly again as he slipped one hand down to wrap around the other man’s cock. “I have plenty for you as well.”
Greer was more than happy to distract Rost from where she lay while Dev took care of their lover elsewhere. There was more than enough room for Rost in their home, and certainly in their bed. If Greer had her way, he would never leave either. The body heat radiating from both men surrounded her and she felt both lazy and aroused, stroking her tongue along Rost's cock before taking him between her lips again to give him a firm suck. Hopefully she and Dev would be able to take his mind off his troubles for a while. Sex couldn't fix everything, but it was a damn good start.
