Who: Charlie & Gavin
Where: Charlie's house
When: Sunday morning 3am 11/19
Status: Complete
Warnings: Turns NSFW
Gavin started to write a text message for Charlie approximately five times before he got off work. After the bar closed it felt too late in the night to be sending her anything - or maybe it was just an excuse. He should have felt annoyed about the ribbing he got after she left but it was all overshadowed by what she had said to him. On some stupid whim he drove by her house just to see if she was still awake. All the lights were off but he still stopped the car there and fretted for a while, looking at her number on his phone and glancing at her house. He still didn't make much sense of what she'd said but he also couldn't unhear it, echoing in his mind. He was about to get going when he noticed the faint light in one of the windows, not strong enough to be readily noticeable but definitely there. It could be anything, a light she left out in the hall because this town was dark and frightening, a light she'd simply forgotten to turn off before she went to sleep, but whatever it was, it sparked something resembling hope in Gavin's chest and he grimaced at himself as he sent her a quick text message, regretting it even before he sent it and then even more once it was gone.
Are you awake?
The euphoria that came with driving to the Pub and telling Gavin how she 'felt' had faded quite quickly after midnight, when she was already home and in her pajamas and watching some mindless cooking show on the television. An overwhelming sense of what did I do had sunk in instead, leaving Charlie feeling embarrassed and appalled at her behavior. What had she been thinking? Marching into a crowded bar and more or less announcing to the masses their business? Gavin was such a quiet, private person and she could only imagine what he must think of her now. No doubt he thought she was crazy, someone to avoid at all costs now. What if her colleagues had been in the bar? It wasn't like Charlie had looked around and noticed anyone specific when she got there.
The last several hours had been filled with a lot of regret, and a lot of burying her face in her hands and groaning. Eventually she tried to sleep but ended up tossing and turning in bed, where she debated texting Gavin an apology. But texting felt cowardice and she doubted he wanted to hear from her right now anyway. When she decided she could sleep, Charlie flipped on the lamp on her nightstand and lay there, working out how to fix whatever it was she might have broken.
She had no idea what time it was when her phone buzzed, but it startled her and Charlie grabbed it from her nightstand, stunned to see a text from Gavin. Was she awake? Of course she was. But she did she respond? Would it seem odd and desperate if she did? Charlie exhaled and sat up in bed to answer. Might as well tear the Band Aid off quickly. I am. is everything okay? Obviously it wasn't but Charlie didn't want to text Gavin an entire paragraph apologizing before she knew what it was that he wanted.
Gavin was watching his phone when it buzzed and it still startled him. He hadn't expected an answer and her question made him wonder if he'd woken her, if she was that light of a sleeper and thought a text in the middle of the night meant an emergency. His stomach was doing the most uncomfortable things to him, not butterflies, more like something small and sharp had taken up residency and was reveling in flinging itself at every organ. It wasn't like he unsent his first message so he texted her back.
I'm outside
Can I come in. Four little words that he couldn't quite bring himself to write but he still looked out at the house across the street, swallowing dryly as he imagined more lights coming on - or not. Maybe she would tell him to go home. It was a weekend, sure, but it was also ridiculously late.
Charlie stared at the message, wondering if maybe she was so tired she was seeing things now. He was outside? Outside where? The bar? His house? Her house? Her pulse picked up and Charlie slipped out of bed to glance out the bedroom window. There was his car. Charlie honestly couldn't figure out if his being there was a good or bad thing. And what she was she supposed to respond with? Taking a step back from the window Charlie turned and left the bedroom, carefully heading downstairs in the dark, her phone still clutched in her hand. She got to front door and unlocked it before flipping on the porch light.
Pulling open the door, she unlocked the screen door and pushed it open, expecting Gavin to come inside. Or at least come up to the porch to talk to her if he didn't want to do that much. It occurred to her as the cold air whipped around her that she was still only wearing pajamas. The cotton pants and t-shirt weren't revealing in any shape or form, but she still felt a little exposed and vulnerable.
Gavin had been so focused on waiting for a reply or a light that seeing the door opened startled him all over again. He licked his lips and cleared his throat before getting out of the car, looking both ways needlessly before stalking across the street, hands in his pockets. She looked cold. It was cold and so he didn't make her wait out there, stepping inside as soon as he got to the door. "Hey," he mumbled, the word drawn out with a bit of uncertainty and his shoulders hunched as he found himself face to face with her. She had been in bed, that much was obvious, but she didn't look sleep ruffled so he hoped he hadn't actually woken her.
"Hi." Charlie shut the door, though who knew if that was to keep the cold out or to keep Gavin. She rubbed her hands up and down her chilled arms to warm them. For a second Charlie wanted to just stand there and wait for him to speak, but she also knew he was there because of what she had done and said, so it felt necessary to say what she needed to say before everything got completely derailed. "I'm really sorry," she said. "I don't know what came over me. It was... not the right time, and definitely not the right place, and I apologize if I embarrassed you in front of everyone."
"No," Gavin muttered in a pained voice before she even finished the sentence. "I'm uh- I'm not good at this," he tried to explain and there was no way he could explain it properly: how he hadn't ever been with anyone but Ollie, how it had been years since they were any sort of close, how he'd imagined he would stay celibate and miserable until he died, alone and probably drunk. He worried at his bottom lip with his teeth, meeting her gaze fretfully and the rest of whatever words he had wouldn't come. She deserved so much better and maybe that was her one flaw - that she didn't realize that. He kind of wished he was drunk now but he didn't have enough alcohol in his system for that and experience told him that it wouldn't make this any easier anyway. His options were all difficult, he could push her away or he could come in and try to talk about it or he could just man up and go with his terrible gut instinct despite the negative choir in his head telling him he was no good for her. Gut instincts had kept him alive so far and - even if the turmoil made him feel like he couldn't breathe - he leaned in and kissed her. It was chaste to start with, just the feel of her soft lips against his and no matter what she had said earlier, he half expected her to push him away.
Charlie would have had to have been completely oblivious and dense to not recognize that Gavin wasn't good at this. She hadn't really expected him to be, given his history with Ollie. Sometimes Charlie felt inadequate as well. Gavin hadn't been the only one with a failed marriage. Sometimes she felt crippled with insecurities. It was just easier for her to hide them, given how much practice she'd had doing so over the past few years. Charlie was about to tell him that it didn't matter how bad he thought he was at 'this', because she didn't expect, or want, him to be some smooth, sweet talker. She liked him for who he was, and she hoped that was enough for him too. But Gavin was kissing her before she could get the words to form on her tongue and Charlie blinked once in surprise before her eyes closed. The shock was still there, but something much warmer and nicer took over and she brought a hand up to grip his shirt, a subconscious gesture to keep him there in case he tried to pull away. Instinctively Charlie's lips parted and the chaste kiss turned into something deeper and more passionate. She had been waiting for this for what felt like ages and just in case it never happened again, she was going to make the best of it.
It came naturally, something Gavin hadn't expected but it was like turning on an old engine he thought wasn't going to work, only to find it revving up and purring at the first turn of the key. His body felt electric, all that anxiety quieting down for something else far more powerful that he'd forgotten he was capable of feeling. He didn't need to think, he just cupped her face with one hand and kissed her more deeply, tasting her and craving more of her. It made sense to pull her in closer and he wanted to peel those pajamas off her, kiss every inch of her, see what she looked like naked after all these years of wondering. He wasn't even sure if he was breathing, or if he really needed to breathe, there was tension in his chest that felt like suffocating if suffocating was a good thing, like he was drowning and she was the only air supply he needed.
Breathing was overrated, if you asked Charlie. It had been a long time since she had been kissed, and an even longer time since she had been kissed properly it seemed. Had her entire body tingled this way when Drew used to kiss her? Since she couldn't quite remember, she was guessing no. She felt like she was sixteen again, full of hormones and anticipation and Charlie couldn't help but wonder if this is what it would have felt like back then, if she had been the one Gavin was kissing instead of Ollie. It didn't really matter though, did it? Because he was kissing her now and she no longer felt the chill in her body from when she had opened the door for him. Everything felt so pleasantly warm and awake and even at three o'clock in the morning Gavin tasted amazing. The way he touched her face prompted a soft shiver to race down her spine and Charlie couldn't help lift a hand to the nape of his neck, keeping him close while she tasted him properly.
There were muffled thoughts in Gavin's head about how he should go and how he shouldn't rush things but he was already shrugging off his jacket (too hot) letting it fall to the floor with a heavy thud. He grabbed Charlie waist again as soon as it was off, pressing her up against the wall. He wanted her, wanted to pull her with him farther into the house, prop her up on the nearest table or the couch, everything else felt too far away. For now he slipped his hands under her pajama top, a shiver going through him despite the warmth as he felt her warm and soft skin under his fingertips.
Of course the smart thing to do would be not to rush, but to enjoy a few moments of this and say goodnight until the next time. But for fuck's sake, Charlie had been waiting for this for nearly two months now and it just felt so good in the moment that she was positive she would growl with frustration if Gavin pulled away from her now. She heard his jacket fall on her floor in a dull sort of way, far too distracted at the heat that was pooling between her legs and the way he pushed her up against the wall to give it much thought. If he wanted to get rid of his clothes, who was she to say he couldn't? At the first touch of his fingers against her bare skin under her shirt, Charlie released a soft sound against Gavin's lips and tugged his own shirt up high enough for her to get her hands underneath it to touch him back. It seemed only fair of course, and honestly, Charlie was acting on pure instinct and arousal now, unable to really think of anything else.
Touching someone for the first time in years was one thing but being touched was so different, at least in this way. Gavin almost flinched at first, his body so unaccustomed to the naked touch. It was good though, once he got over the initial reaction and he grunted softly into the kiss, fingers tracing the waistband of her pants before sliding up further under her shirt. He had let himself forget how good it felt to touch a woman but it all came rushing back, especially as he moved his hand to cup her breast, probably too fast and too much but that little sound Charlie made into the kiss was spurring him on, letting him forget his doubts for the time being.
It didn't feel like too much to Charlie, in fact it felt like not enough, like she needed his hands everywhere all at once. The late hour and the dreamy state of mind she felt herself in made this whole thing feel a bit surreal, like maybe she had lost herself in some fantasy while trying to fall asleep. But Gavin felt solid and real beneath her hands, and Charlie certainly felt the intensity of arousal between her legs, especially when his calloused hand cupped her breast. If it was too much, too soon she didn't care. Not in that particular moment. Charlie drew her hands from underneath Gavin's shirt to pull up the hem of her own, breaking away from his mouth long enough to tug the material up over her head. She let it fall to the floor beside their feet, her hair resettling over her shoulders.
And just like that she was half naked and Gavin's mind was reeling at all that skin and the shape of her breasts and the way they felt when he pulled her in close again. She was so beautiful, even more so now that she had no shirt on but there wasn't enough light, not enough anything so he kissed her again and started walking backwards at the same time, kicking something aside (a shoe?) when it got in his way. Sometime after they made it out of the hallway he let go of her to shrug off his shirt, leaving him in only a t-shirt but he didn't want to take it off just yet, would rather keep his hands on Charlie, touching and touching and touching as much as he could.
Charlie could not have cared less about where they ended up. She let him lead her back, aware that Gavin had been to her house plenty of times to know where he was going. It was dark but for the porch light appearing dimly through the drawn curtains and there was just enough light for Charlie to open her eyes and see him. She could hear nothing but their breathing and the pounding of her heart and she cupped his face to draw his mouth to hers again, her body shivering pleasantly at the feel of his hands still on her body. Gavin was not a man of many words, so maybe right now it was better not to talk. And Charlie, for once, was okay with that. Could she drag him all the way up to her bedroom? Maybe the couch was a more ideal destination, as it was much closer. He had already gotten two layers off, but his t-shirt was still in the way so Charlie lowered her hands to push it up his abdomen and chest, wanting it off. It seemed only fair, of course.
She wanted his shirt off and that told Gavin enough about how okay this was. He obliged, pulling back just enough to peel it off and ditch it somewhere on the floor, only breaking the kiss for two seconds at most. It was quickly becoming a trail of clothes, but where was it leading? He had no idea. Her room was too far away, even the couch felt too far and he turned them around and let them stumble a little farther where he picked her up and sat her up on a kitchen counter. He had let himself forget how amazing breasts felt against his bare chest - or maybe he'd forced himself to forget that - and now it felt like something that should be impossible to forget. He wasn't so sure he'd love it as much if it wasn't Charlie though, this felt like it had been building for twenty years at least, from that first time he'd really noticed her as more than just a random girl at school.
It had been a really long time since Charlie had felt skin on skin intimacy like this. Being touched like this could so easily become an addiction, something to crave just about every day. Pathetic, probably, but honestly, Charlie didn't care. She had no idea how they ended up where they did, but Charlie didn't care about that either. Her lips were starting to feel wonderfully swollen from all the kissing and yet she still didn't want to stop. Sitting on the counter now, Charlie leaned back from him enough to be able to run her hands over Gavin's chest, her fingertips gliding over hot skin and muscle. It was too dark in the kitchen to get a good look at him, but that could always come later. At some point her hands slid downward to his belt and she took a brief moment to catch her breath, her forehead resting against his as she started to pull the belt apart. Charlie didn't think he would stop her, but she wanted to give him the chance to if he wanted.
Her enthusiasm had him on fire and he was relieved he could lift her despite his bad arm because he was about to do so again just to get those damn pajama pants off and out of the way along with her underwear. He kissed her again though it was short this time, breathing had priority right now and maneuvering them around didn't make kissing easy either. Much like Charlie he left space for her to stop him but he wasn't asking permission, mainly because words were not his strong suit and they seemed to have completely abandoned him for now.
Why hadn't she just pulled on one of her nightgowns before climbing into bed? They were silky and sexy and would have been a hell of a lot easier to get rid of then the pajama pants. But the nights were getting colder and Charlie hadn't expected this kind of company. So they would just have to deal with the few moments of inconvenience as Charlie shifted around on the counter to help him get her bottoms off. His belt was dangling apart now and despite the fact that she was fully naked in front of Gavin, Charlie didn't feel embarrassed or shy. She tugged immediately at the button of his jeans to get it open so she could zip his fly down. It felt like she couldn't breathe, but in the best possible way. Desire was a powerful force and as badly as Charlie would have liked to take her time with him, it felt like months of build up had led to this and she couldn't bear to wait any longer. Her impatience probably showed in the way she started to push his jeans down.
It was reassuring and encouraging how obviously she wanted this too and Gavin let her deal with his jeans until it was time to kick them off. He focused on touching her instead, kissing her again as his hands roamed a little too hurriedly over her body. It had been too long and not enough, not good enough, not everything he wanted and he was afraid this was his last and only chance, that after this Charlie would finally realize he wasn't worth her while. He'd lectured his brothers and his son on protection for years but tonight he didn't give a shit. Neither of them could have kids and Charlie having an STD was a ridiculous thought he wasn't even going to entertain. No, he wanted her now and that urge only grew when he slipped one hand between her legs and found her wet already.
Charlie honestly wasn't thinking about anything that came after all of this. She was fully in the moment, lost in the way Gavin's hands felt on her body, and in the way he kissed her. She managed to get his jeans down to his thighs before his hand slipped between hers and Charlie moaned against his mouth, a shiver tingling down her spine as pleasure flooded every inch of her body. Being perched on top of her kitchen counter, she couldn't exactly push his jeans completely off, but he was exposed to her now and her hand seemed to gravitate to his cock. Curling her fingers around him, Charlie let herself explore his length for a moment, figuring if he got to touch her, it was only fair that she get to touch him as well.
Gavin quickly found out that jeans didn't come off easy unless his boots did first and oh fucking well, he'd deal with that later. It wasn't like they were going anywhere. He was too focused on Charlie, on that sweet moan and the way her hand felt on his cock, small and delicate and hot and almost too much. For a terrifying second or two he thought he would come just from that light touch, his body reacting strongly, as if pissed at him for depriving it of this pleasure for as long as he had. Fortunately his body didn't betray him that quickly and he moved automatically from there, moving his hand away to grab her hips and pull her closer to the edge of the counter. He wanted to be inside of her, needed it in a feverish sort of way that made thinking difficult.
As soon as she was close enough to the edge of the counter, Charlie gripped Gavin's shoulder with one hand and guided him inside of her with the other. He would have to do the rest of course but Charlie drew him close to kiss him again, trying not to melt completely against him in the process. It had been so long since she had done this with anyone that she had nearly forgotten how amazing it could feel with the right person. Even now, in the middle of the night, in complete darkness with Gavin, it felt right. Maybe it wouldn't last very long for either of them but Charlie was already thinking ahead to taking him up to her bedroom where they could sprawl out and she could worship him properly.
As good as the touch of her hand had felt, it was nothing compared to the heat of her body as he sank his cock inside her with an almost pained moan. The fact that it was Charlie - that he was fucking Charlie only intensified the feeling and he clung to her as he started thrusting, lost to the sensation. He felt far too good to worry about the fact that he wasn't going to last long at all or whether things would be awkward after.. All his senses were focused on her, the way she felt against him, around him, the way she smelled and tasted as he kissed and nibbled on her neck, his breath coming in short bursts and groans.
As soon as Gavin began to move inside of her, Charlie released a soft noise of relief, her legs instinctively wrapping around his hips, though loosely as to allow him to keep moving. One hand clutched the back of his neck, the other pressed down against the counter to keep herself upright. Her position was a bit restrictive and she couldn't move as much as she would like to, but she pressed kisses against the side of his face, soft noises filling the otherwise quiet kitchen. His name slipped from her lips in a breathy moan. Even if it didn't last long, Charlie didn't care. Everything about it felt perfect in the moment.
It had been too damn long and Gavin's body was already eager for the ending, even if he wasn't ready for it at all. It was Charlie's whisper that did him in and he shuddered against her, letting out a helpless little groan as he came, almost a whine because he didn't want it to end, didn't want to pull back and close off or talk to her about it. He just wanted to stay there, against her, inside her, with her hands on him and her voice whispering his name and moaning oh so sweetly. He hated his body in that moment even if he loved how it felt, that tension rising too quickly, his legs tense and trembling and his mind going blank for a few seconds. He was panting when he could think again, his face pressed in against her neck and a quiet, broken 'sorry' slipping from his lips.
It might have been awhile since Charlie had done this, but she was able to recognize Gavin's impending orgasm before it happened. There was the jerky, quickening of his hips and how his breathing grew more shallow against her neck. Knowing it had been a long time for him too, Charlie didn't hold it against him. In her mind, this wasn't the first and only time this would happen. After he tensed against her, Charlie groaned and wrapped both arms around him, holding him close until the muscles in his shoulders and back seemed to relax. She heard his apology and smiled in the dark, one hand sliding up to rub her fingers against the nape of his neck. "Don't," she murmured, turning her face to kiss his jaw. He had no reason to apologize to her. "It was perfect."
It hadn't been perfect so her saying it made Gavin huff a humorless laugh but he still appreciated it, it was such a sweet thing to say; such a Charlie thing to say. He pulled back and tilted his forehead against hers, his breathing slowing down even if it still felt thick and labored. He was thankful for her arms around him, like she was making sure he didn't run away and he needed that right now, needed to feel like he was still welcome which was probably dumb considering he still had his dick inside of her. "S'been a while," he whispered, his voice not quite working for anything louder than that.
Charlie brought her hands up to cup his face, a small smile playing at her lips. She didn't think he would run away, but her legs were probably wrapped around him for more than one reason. "For me too," she murmured. She may not have gotten there herself, but it had still felt amazing to her. It wasn't always about getting off, was it? Charlie pressed a kiss to his lips softly. "Come upstairs with me. It's late and I want you to stay." It would feel nice to wake up next to a warm body in the morning. More specifically it would feel nice waking up next to Gavin.
Gavin nodded mutely as he pulled out of her. He'd known it had been a while for her, suspected anyway, but it was weirdly soothing to hear her say it. As soothing as it was to hear her ask him to stay. Without it, he wasn't sure what to do with himself after this but now he knew he was welcome. If he stayed maybe he'd get a second chance at this, though he wasn't at all sure he'd be any good at it even without the lack of endurance. He helped her down from the counter and finally managed to get his boots, socks and jeans off now that the rush was out of the way. After picking up his clothes he pulled Charlie close again, his hand on the back of her head as he kissed her again. The closeness was another thing that was soothing, kissing Charlie made everything less awkward.
For her part, Charlie wasn't feeling awkward. She felt... good. Happy. She liked that he undressed completely, rather than pulling his jeans back up. Charlie felt less vulnerable being naked with Gavin following suit. Her hands slid over his waist, her lips parting for his. A pleasant tingle rushed down her spine and she smiled against his mouth. How long had it been since a kiss had done that to her? She wasn't even sure Drew had ever made her shiver that way. It also told her that he was going to stay and Charlie lingered in the kiss before humming happily and reaching for his hand to lead him from her kitchen towards the living room and stairs that led up to her bedroom. She wasn't going to worry about her pajamas, since she had no plan on putting them back on.
Gavin wasn't too worried about staying a while. His daughter was home safe with the dogs and Jasper should be there with her by now. Neither of them had called or texted so he assumed they were safe and sleeping. He followed her without a word, soothed yet again by that physical contact even if it was just her hand in his. Once they got to her room he put his clothes aside and looked around briefly. He'd never been in this room and it felt like the heart of the house - Charlie's bedroom. He'd never expected to see it either but here he was with her, both of them naked, his body still tingling from his orgasm. He wasn't interested in the room though, more interested in the naked woman in front of him so he pulled Charlie close again and kissed her. "I want it to be good for you too," he mumbled, still a little bit mortified that he'd just fucked her and come in about five seconds, ten seconds if he was very generous.
Being in her bedroom now, the lamp was still on so she could see him much better now. She wanted to run her hands and tongue all over his tattoos, explore every inch of his body. He would probably scoff a bit at it, but she didn't care. It was both frustrating and endearing that he didn't see his own desirability, that he so clearly had a low opinion of himself. That was okay, though, she would just have to show him how wrong he was. Right now Charlie wanted to insist that it had been good for her, but she knew what Gavin meant and she didn't think he would want her to try and placate him. She remained close to him, her breasts brushing against his chest. Charlie kissed him again, lingering against his mouth while she took his hand and slipped it between her legs. She was still wet, both from her own arousal and him, and if he wanted to get her there too, he could.
The downside to having only been with one woman in his life, one who had weird feelings about sex at that, was that Gavin didn't know nearly as much as he wanted to know about sex. There had been too much trauma surrounding it all for him to really educate himself and what little he knew was from Ollie and porn. He cupped her and stroked a finger through the wet slit, feeling unusually calm considering how inept he was at this. "Tell me what you want," he murmured against her lips, running his finger back and forth gently against her. He knew about the clit at least, he just didn't have a whole lot of hands on experience except for fucking.
His hand felt amazing between her legs, even just touching her so lightly. Charlie's chest felt tight with want and she gripped his wrist to pull him away from her long enough to walk backward toward the bed. "I'll show you," she murmured. It didn't really occur to her that Gavin had only been with one woman and she wasn't exactly focused on that fact right now. She had him naked and alone in her bedroom and Charlie wanted to take full advantage of that before the sun came up and they had to go back to their lives.
Show was definitely better than tell and Gavin followed her gladly, pulling her in for another kiss as soon as they were right up against her bed. He wanted to tell her how lost he was but Gavin had never been good with words, especially not when it counted. Kissing was better, following her lead and touching her.
It didn't take a genius to realize Gavin was feeling a bit out of his depth. She could understand it. Charlie hadn't been with a man in awhile now, but she had also had plenty of boyfriends and lovers since high school. As far as she knew, Gavin had only had Ollie. She wouldn't assume that there hadn't maybe been a woman here or there, but given his tentative nature, Charlie was willing to bet there hadn't. Lingering in their kiss, Charlie hummed appreciatively before she pulled back from him and scooted back onto her bed. The blankets were a bit rumpled from earlier when she had been trying to sleep, but she didn't care. "Come here," she murmured, reaching her arms out toward him.
Gavin followed again, crawling up on the bed after her and pressing his face against her stomach, reveling in the hot skin against his face. He kissed her, then moved and kissed her breasts, her collar bones, her neck, slowly working his way up to her lips. There were cheesy metaphors in his head about deserts and water but they fit, he hadn't realized how starved he was for this but now he knew and it felt more important than ever to do something about it.
Charlie wrapped her arms around him, sighing contently at the feel of his lips on her skin. She wouldn't have cared if she went all night without an orgasm, as long as Gavin kept kissing her. She felt as starved for this as he did, the last two months feeling like some brand of unconventional foreplay. It was the most exquisite kind of torture, and her entire body thrummed with pleasure beneath his. Parting her lips against his, Charlie ran her hands down his back, her hips lifting instinctively, her body eager for more of his touch.
She made everything seem okay somehow, Gavin didn't know how she did it but he wasn't worried about the fact he'd come too fast or that he didn't know what he was doing. He only cared about how she felt against him, how her tongue moved along his own, the way she moved against him like she really, really wanted him. It was heavenly, beautiful in a way he'd forgotten love could be and so free of afterthought and regret that it didn't feel like anything else in his life. He slipped his hand between her thighs to rub at the wetness there, his and hers alike.
It was admittedly a strange feeling to want somebody with this kind of intensity again after her marriage. Strange in a good way, obviously, because it hadn't been something Charlie was expecting to happen when she moved back home. Gavin had been a surprise. A confusing surprise, sure, but one that Charlie was happy to have experienced. She felt like a teenager again, full of anticipation and butterflies in her stomach. She couldn't remember the last time kissing a man made her feel this way. Desired and wanted. Charlie drew in a soft breath against Gavin's lips when she felt his hand between her legs again and she parted her thighs just enough to make it easier for him.
He might be rusty and awkward, but Gavin was a Lucas and the Lucas boys might be accursed in many ways but their looks and virility were not affected by the negativity. He could tell he was going to be hard again soon, his body reacting to her like a fast working drug. It was like rising from the dead in many ways, like he'd buried himself so deep and Charlie was pulling him out of that hole with softness that was at the same time so firm and tangible. He felt like he'd been waiting for this even when he hadn't known he was waiting at all.
As unsure of herself as she might have been initially, it was easy for Charlie to let go and just enjoy every second of this. For once she wasn't worried about what she looked like naked, or if Gavin was judging her, or wishing he were someplace else. Maybe he had been rusty and awkward in the beginning, but he didn't feel that way to Charlie now. The way his hand moved between her legs, the way he kissed her, it was almost like they had been doing this for years instead of an hour or so. Charlie found herself wishing it would last forever. With her breathing growing heavier, it was proving to be a bit more difficult to kiss him as thoroughly as she was at the moment and Charlie had to pull her mouth from his to moan when his fingers hit a particularly sensitive spot.
Gavin might suck at verbal communication but bodies were easier to read and Charlie's was loud and clear in that moment. It was rare that he felt like he knew exactly what to do outside of actual work but that feeling was catching up with him and putting him more and more at ease. She made it easy, he didn't worry for a second that she was faking that pleasure, it just didn't seem like her at all. She broke the kiss and that was okay, he was more than happy to nuzzle and kiss her neck instead as he replicated the touch that had made her moan, slowly moving his hardening cock against her thigh for some of his own pleasure.
Charlie had spent too many years 'faking' a lot of things. She felt like at this point in her life, she deserved something authentic and real. This felt real. Maybe she was getting ahead of herself, but it was hard not to tumble headfirst into whatever this could be, given how long it had taken them just to get to this point. Gavin's lips and hot breath against her skin caused her to shiver, her hand sliding into his hair and gripping the strands, though not too tightly. She could feel his erection against her thigh, but it was hard to focus on it when he was touching her so intimately. Her free hand slipped down to slide over his. She didn't take control, but simply guided him, applying a little bit of pressure to his fingertips to get her exactly where she wanted to be.
Guidance was good and Gavin took it, trying to read her little touches and reactions as best he could. He was so focused on his task, so desperate to make her come, no matter how long it'd take, he'd forgotten everything else and it was a blissful state of mind to be in. Everything was Charlie and Charlie was everything, her body was his whole world for the time being and he was happy to explore and find out just what made her tick.
Charlie wasn't sure even she knew what made her tick, at least in the bedroom. She simply assumed it had to do with who she was with, and the level of attraction or feelings that were there with them. They hadn't really spoken in depth about how they felt about one another, but then again, she and Gavin rarely spoke in depth about anything. And Charlie honestly didn't mind it. Gavin communicated in his own way, even if he didn't realize it. Like the way he kissed her now, the way he touched her. There was plenty being said right now without any verbal communication needed. All she knew right now was that her core seemed to be tightening with pleasure and soft moans formed in her throat as Gavin's fingers moved against her in just the right way. Charlie couldn't seem to focus on anything else but how he was making her feel.
It was so easy, so much easier than he had thought, to do this, to get lost in it. Keeping his fingers where they were Gavin used his free hand to nudge her legs further apart, manipulating her body until he had her where he wanted her so he could slip his now hard cock back inside of her. He'd last longer this time at least but he didn't want to stop doing that one thing that she seemed to be really enjoying so he didn't. His thrusts where slow and careful, his focus mostly on what he was doing with his hand as he dipped down again to lick and nuzzle at one nipple.
Charlie released a low moan when she felt Gavin slip inside of her again and as soon as he started to thrust, she bit down into her lower lip to try and stifle the cry that rose in her throat. With his fingers at her clit and the extra stimulation of his cock, it didn't take Charlie long to fall over the peak. Her orgasm seemed to flood every ounce of her body, leaving her trembling against Gavin, a soft sort of sob escaping her lips. Charlie had been giving herself orgasms every now and then since her divorce, but every single one lacked the intensity of the one that throbbed inside of her now. She held him as close as she could in their position, her hand sliding into his hair to cling to until the pleasure began to dull into boneless satisfaction. Charlie drew his mouth back to hers, still moving her hips against his as she poured everything she was feeling in that moment into the way she kissed him.
Gavin thought he could last a lot longer and, in theory, he could have if not for Charlie's orgasm. He thought he could feel it with his whole body, the way she squeezed him, the way she shivered against him, the way she clung to him like her life depended on it. He was sure he'd never felt anything this good, drugs aside, flooded with endorphins, a physical and emotional rush of warmth. He kept moving for a few moments longer, his orgasm not as intense or desperate as the first but still oh so good He collapsed against Charlie, the fingers of his free hand tangling in her hair as he slowly moved his other from between their bodies. He stayed still for a while save for the heavy breathing, his heart trying to break free of his body or that was how it felt for a few seconds.
Charlie was content to lay there with Gavin's weight against her and his hand in her hair. She didn't want to ruin the moment with words and so she nuzzled her nose against his and pressed a kiss against his lips. Feeling sated in a way that had eluded her for a couple of years now, Charlie wished she could just fall asleep with Gavin deep inside of her and forget about everything else. Trailing her fingertips over his spine, Charlie opened her eyes to look at him. "Thank you," she murmured. She wasn't thanking him for the orgasm, although that had been fantastic too. But he hadn't rejected her... he had come to her house at three in the morning. Charlie knew how difficult it had probably been for him, but he was there, and he wanted to stay. It had been so long since Charlie had felt this way that she felt a bit desperate to cling to it for a while.
That show of gratitude was baffling to Gavin. He'd been relaxing and soaking in her warmth when she spoke but the words had him raising his head, pure confusion in his expression. "Thank me?" he asked and it wasn't a cutesy 'no, thank you' move, he was honestly surprised by it. "What- for what?" he asked, a small smile curling his lips because despite his confusion, she was so fucking beautiful and serene looking that just glancing at her face made him feel all sorts of things he hadn't known he was capable of feeling.
"For being here," Charlie told him. "For not holding that... ridiculous public confession against me." She nearly added, for wanting me, but that made her feel silly and desperate. Charlie was well aware of the effect her divorce had on her self esteem, but Gavin didn't need that dumped on him along with everything else. She brushed her fingers through his hair. "I was sure I would probably never hear from you again after that."
"No," Gavin said with a little shake of his head, the word drawn out uncertainly. He hummed quietly and then pulled out of her, slowly getting himself in a more comfortable position by her side though he kept the physical contact. It was a lifeline right now, one he wasn't ready to let go of. "It was uh - probably a good thing." It was definitely a good thing and he regretted his choice of words instantly. "Surprising... s'all." There were reasons, so many reasons, and he could have listed them all now but talking felt cheap.
Charlie immediately missed the feel of his weight against her, but was placated when he stayed close to her. "Surprising is an understatement," she said, a hint of amusement in her voice. Sleepy amusement. Now that they were laying there in her bed and her blood had cooled, she was realizing just how late it was. Or early, considering the time now. "I'm not sure what came over me," she murmured. "But I'm glad I did it." Charlie ran her hand through his hair slowly. If she hadn't, who knew if this would have happened at all. At some point, you had to do what you had to do to get what you wanted. And Charlie wanted Gavin.
Gavin didn't wonder why she'd done it. He figured she'd just gotten fed up with him and that was completely acceptable and understandable, he often got fed up with himself. He was just glad she felt that way - a little sad for her sake because she deserved better but selfishly overjoyed at the same time. "I'm glad too," he whispered and hoped she wouldn't change her mind, slowly come to her senses and close herself off from him. It had been worth it, even if his family mocked him for it and he wouldn't hear the end of it anytime soon. That he was at least used to, his family being assholes about something or another - mainly Caden, of course, Caden and his dad. It would be a lot easier to take if he had this to escape to, Charlie's warm body, Charlie's warm smile. He pressed in closer and pressed his lips against her skin, breathing her in and taking in the soothing effects of her presence.
