While Cinder wasn't the biggest fan of lying, it sort of came with the territory. Stories, exaggerations, edging around the actual truth of the matter ... it was something she'd been taught since she was small. It wasn't like she could proclaim to the world that she was a gargoyle, after all.
"Yes," she said simply, leaving it at that. She could have elaborated, and if asked she would go into some depth that was-wasn't true, depending on how one regarded it.
"Nice to meet you, too," she said. Given the questions he'd asked, she reasoned he was a student and likely on his way home from wherever he was. She imagined, adult or otherwise, he had parents who'd note a lateness - but maybe he was the sort that didn't much care. Come to that, he probably wasn't.
Still, nothing about the situation made her uneasy. If he attacked, she'd defend. It wouldn't take but a second for her claws to come out, if it came to that. He looked strong, but she trusted in herself, that he'd likely underestimate her because of her size. That he'd get cocky, careless. Not that she imagined he would attack her ... but he wouldn't be the first, if he did.
