Jeff could tell that she was afraid. He was afraid. He was terrified. He couldn't see the thing outside anymore that looked like a wolf only twice as large. Maybe it was just because he hadn't actually seen a wolf in person and that's how big they actually got. But did they have wolves in Point Pleasant? Jeff couldn't even recall as he started walking closer to the door. "If we're in here and its out there...it'll probably get bored and leave. Find something easier to you know..." He glanced back at her as he rocked his head a little. "...to eat."
But rabid animals tended to not pay attention to logic from what he remembered. He supposed it was either that or just wandered too close to people for the most part as he started to press his face against the door, trying to see if he could see the animal around the corner. "I don't see it. I think we could make a break for your car." He was sure the idea sounded stupid the moment it left his lips. There was no way they could outrun it to the car if it was still out there, waiting in the shadows.
"I'm going to try to make it to my car. I got a gun in there. Lock the door behind me?"
