Sera backed up until she was almost behind the counter, not liking the intent stare of... whatever it was. She kept looking at it and trying to decide, but she couldn't. It didn't look like any animal she'd ever seen before, but what else could it be but an animal?
"I don't know," she said when the clerk wondered if they should call for help. Her purse dropped from her shoulder to the floor, and Sera absently wrapped the strap around her wrist to keep it from getting c-store dirt all over it. "Just... what if it doesn't really go away?" She cast a nervous glance at the guy, feeling like a damsel in distress in a horror movie and really not liking the feeling. The thing moved out of view, and somehow that made her even more uneasy when she couldn't see where it was or what it was doing.
