Re: Greg & Ophelia
Greg grinned at her and then made an attempt at some sort of bastardized hula dance that he was far too drunk for. She could probably kill him with those vines without ever touching him and it was a crazy thought but it didn't really phase him. It probably should, but he couldn't imagine her ever actually setting his hair on fire or hurting him in any way. "Do I look pretty?" he asked with a slightly silly voice because those flowers had looked really pretty on Phee.
Phee was drunk enough to still think it was hilarious, and she giggled madly, her hands still holding the vines at his chest. “Just gorgeous, darling, gorgeous,” she sing-songed. Harming him with the ivy was the furthest thing from her mind. Instead she was so stupidly tempted to just pull him forward to kiss him. Even all painted red, he was so hot and so cute and so sweet to try and protect her secret, and what was the worst that could happen? Like Jen said. “Nobody’s kissed me yet,” she declared. “Should be you.” That wasn’t exactly how she’d meant for it to come out, but it was too late now.
Greg had fretted about Phee all damn week and he'd gone over all the reasons why thinking about her in any way other than 'best friend's sister' was bad. He'd considered taking advantage of the fact that Cassy StClair was horny and desperate because then he'd be fucking someone who wasn't his best friend's sister and that would totally help him not think about Phee. Because thinking about Phee as anything but Bash's sister was stupid. He couldn't really remember why that was right now, except for Bash getting weird about it but how did Greg even know that he would? Cassy StClair was far from his mind too because Phee was practically glowing and saying he should kiss her. What was the worst thing that could happen? Bash might get pissed but he wasn't there right now and she looked so fucking pretty. He leaned in a little closer without thinking about it much. "I don't believe that," he said softly and god she was so tall, almost as tall as him. He didn't even have to duck down much if he wanted to kiss her. "Nobody?"
He didn’t laugh, or make a weird face, or nudge her away, or bring up her brother, or list out all the reasons why she was unattractive, or any of the things Phee had been afraid he would do. Greg was still looking into her eyes and he even leaned a little closer, and her stomach was suddenly a mess of butterflies. She hadn’t been smooth about this at all, but for a second she was pretty sure it was actually going to work. She would have to tell Jen that she was a genius. Phee shook her head a tiny bit, her curls swaying slightly. “Nobody,” she echoed. “Like, ever.” Maybe that was an overshare, because guys didn’t like virgins, right? It made her seem kind of defective, didn’t it? But her mouth had run away with her tonight just like her magic.
If he was sober that would definitely have been Greg's cue to fuck right off. His best friend's little sister was a virgin and nobody had even kissed her before. Bash was going to murder him, only Bash would never murder anybody. He was still looking into her eyes and it was hard to look away now that he was this close to her. A tiny voice in his head told him to back off but then another stubbornly said that Phee should get her kiss from someone who actually cared about her. He could so easily see her falling for some loser like Kyle who'd just use her and break her heart and it gave him a weird jealous surge mixed in with the urge to protect her. He should probably say something to her, he thought, but there really wasn't anything to say. She obviously wanted to be kissed and he most definitely wanted to kiss her so he leaned in and brushed his lips against hers in a cautious and probably overly chaste kiss.
