Greg & Victoria
Victoria couldn’t believe how well the party had turned out. Everyone was talking and dancing and generally having a good time, there was still plenty to drink in the kitchen, and she’d gotten so many compliments on the decorations that it was definitely worth it spending all that money. Her father was going to kill her when he got the bill, but this was the biggest party she was throwing this semester and it was worth his attempts to ground her. It wasn’t like he could enforce it when he kept leaving town.
She’d had some fun on the dance floor, grinding against Todd, though really she was hoping for someone a bit more interesting tonight. Then she’d spent the next ten minutes arguing with Kyle about something she couldn’t even remember at this point. It wasn’t horribly important, but he was being an ass and she was trying to prove a point, but then her drink had exploded in her face, so she’d stopped to clean that mess up, which resulted in her needing another. Leaning into the guy closest to her, she hooked her arm through his. “I need another drink. Come with,” she said, a touch surprised when she looked up to see Greg, all giant and red. Her eyes widened dramatically. “Wooooow, you went all out!”
"I did!" Greg agreed loudly. "It's Halloween!" He looked around to see the guy he'd been talking to wander off so he guessed he was talking to Victoria Chapman now. That was okay! "So did you, where's your Joker? Did you kill the bastard yet?" He was a little drunk by now and very happy with his decision to go shirtless underneath that jacket. It was hot but he still had it on because he wasn't so drunk that he'd forgotten he didn't want to lose it.
“I’ve got him locked in a closet for later,” Victoria winked playfully. “Too many handsome, shirtless guys running around. He might get jealous.” She gave him a little poke in the side, a touch surprised at herself. She’d never been into Greg, but at the moment he was cute. Pretty much all the guys at the party were cute and there were so many of them. “Do you have a-- well, damn. I don’t know this guy’s girl. He has a girl, doesn’t he? Or am I thinking of Deadpool?” She was pretty sure they were two totally different red superheros.
"Yeah he has a girl," Greg said. "Depends on the medium though. Liz or Alice, take a pick!" Didn't everyone have a girl in movies and shows? It was like you couldn't be single for a second without there something being wrong with you and he'd been single for months now, not counting dumb accidental rebound sex. He was pretty sure Victoria had no idea who he was dressed up as but that was okay. A good costume didn't require recognition. "What are you drinking?"
Victoria really wasn’t sure who Greg was. She only knew Deadpool because the guy she’d been dating at the time had dragged her to the movie and it turned out to be kinda funny, even for someone who didn’t give a shit about super heroes. “I,” she started, drawing out the word as she handed Greg her orange cup, “have been sticking with vodka and soda.” That way she wouldn’t get sick and puke on someone. Always better to stay to one liquor. And no crazy fruit juices. The room was spinning nicely and everyone was wonderful, even the juniors that had no business being in her house and drinking her liquor. “What about you? You having fun? Please say yes.” In terms of party people, Greg’s opinion mattered.
"It's a fantastic party," Greg told her enthusiastically because yeah, Victoria had gone all out with this shindig and he was having a blast. It was hard to go wrong with a costume party as long as everyone dressed up as something fun and there was booze involved. He'd seen a few costumes that were a total riot and then some that were amazingly cool. There were also so many people there, some he didn't know at all, that just made it all the better. He took her cup and wagged it her playfully. "Let's get you a fill-up then!"
