Re: Sebastian, Hunter, Mak, and Sabrina
“Dammit!” Sebastian laughed as Mak won again. Only by, like, a second this time, but a second counted in Mario Kart! He’d pulled out couple of wins, but there was no denying that Mak was good. “I’m gonna blame that on the alcohol,” he laughed, shaking his head. He knew that wasn’t really the case, even if things were nice and warm and fuzzy. “How’d you get so good?” he asked Mak as he flopped back on the couch and slid his arm loosely around Hunter’s hips. “You’re the only girl that’s ever beaten me.”
It was nice to find out that even kinda drunk, Mak was good at Mario Kart. She gave a little whoop as she -- and Sabrina, by virtue of being her teammate -- won again, lifting her arms up in the air with a bright grin. She cackled with victory, then leaned over to steal a kiss from Sabrina. She’d earned it, right? “You blamed alcohol last time too,” she teased Sebastian, lifting her cup for another quick swallow. It was going down smooth and easy now, and she felt pretty damn good, all floaty and warm. “Lots of practice. Plus, me and Wario are badasses.” Mak looked at Sabrina, aware that video games weren’t her favorite thing in the world, then glanced back at the boys. “What’s next ... Cards Against Humanity? Wanna sing?”
Hunter was going to blame their loss on the fact that he was very distracted. How was he supposed to focus on a funny little game when Sebastian was sitting next to him, hip to hip, sticking his damn tongue out in concentration every so often and just looking good enough to eat? Hunter was sure he'd spent more time looking at him than the screen though that couldn't be true since he'd managed to stay on the damn track. He was feeling nicely tipsy by now, warm and tingly and that only felt like it increased when Sebastian put his arm around him. He glanced back at him with a grin, then reached for this glass, half-empty by now. "I think I'm drunk enough to handle cards," he said with a grin that seemed like a permanent fixture on his face by now.
Sabrina was not a video game person, so it probably helped to have Mak on her team. It was fun, sure, but she was kind of relieved when it was over, even though they won. Somehow she managed to do just enough to help, sort of, but she couldn't really quite understand how some people could sit there for hours on end doing the same things on the controllers! Sabrina set the controller down and considered their options. She wasn't really a singer, so she was more than ready to jump on the game when Mak suggested it. "Cards are fine," she said, reaching for her own cup to finish off the rest of what was inside. "Who wants to keep score?" She had no idea who the less drunk person was, but it probably didn't matter much.
