Re: Sebastian and Hunter with Greg
Sebastian kind of wanted to kick Greg for disappearing as he did, but it was also fine because he got Hunter all to himself again. Unless he’d gone and made things awkward. That wouldn’t surprise him either. Hunter’s response left him a little bit relieved, but also a little bit curious. “Have you ever wanted to?” he said, then a smile tugged at this lips. “Would you ever want to with me?” Because that felt like a better way to put it. “No pressure though. I swear. Just curious.”
Hunter laughed a little and shrugged. "I feel like if I did it'd have to be sometime when I'm not going home for like four days, like my dad would just see it on me, you know?" Which was possibly stupid, he didn't know, it wasn't like he spent a whole lot of time with his dad but there had to be some kind of cop-senses tingling if he broke the law. The last thing he wanted was for his dad to hate his boyfriend because he'd 'corrupted' Hunter or whatever. "Do you? Smoke a lot, I mean... Often?" That came out wrong and he laughed again, closing his eyes momentarily at how weird this had gotten suddenly.
Sebastian knew how that was, but in a different way. He had his boyfriend in his house, was daring to let him sleep in his bed, and it only felt safe because his parents wouldn’t be back for days. “Yeah, I could see that,” he smiled, hoping that Hunter knew he understood. “Not really. Sometimes, but not, like--like usually with Greg, always, I mean, cause it’s never just me, and it’s never been with anyone else, but he doesn’t during football season, so no, not often, just… sometimes.” He stopped and ran a hand through his hair. “Sorry.” I really don’t have a drug problem, I swear.
"Why are you sorry?" Hunter asked and maybe it was a little mean of him to ask since he kinda understood where Sebastian was coming from. He was being intensely awkward and seemed genuinely afraid that Hunter would judge him for everything. It just made Hunter want to pull him somewhere private and show him just how much it didn't change his mind about him. If anything it just made him cuter and Hunter almost wanted to tease him to make him more awkward - but that was definitely mean even if the reason for it was cute in a way. "Hey," he murmured before Sebastian had a chance to start rambling again in reply to his question. "I like you a lot, I don't care if you smoke sometimes."
Sebastian opened his mouth to reply, then relaxed when Hunter spoke again. He threaded their fingers together loosely and gave them a little squeeze. “I just don’t want you to think I’m some kind of pothead. Or pervert. And I keep putting my foot in my mouth,” he said softly, embarrassment hard to hide at this point. He’d never been this easily flustered before and it was frustrating, especially when he knew he could be relatively smooth with girls.
"You really don't," Hunter told him warmly and gave his fingers a little squeeze in turn. "You just think you do. If you kept putting your foot in your mouth I'd be liking you less and not more with every minute." He smiled a little shyly because it felt weird to admit that but then he never would have dared if Sebastian didn't seem just as affected as he felt.
Sebastian thought he might swoon, as silly as it seemed. If Hunter kept saying things like that he was going to have to cut the party short and drag him away to his room. “You’re so sweet,” he said softly, unable to hide him smile back. He was pretty sure he was a total doofus and Hunter was just crazy, but he was fine with that. “I want you to get to know me better, but I’m also worried you won’t like me, you know?”
