"No, I know. It seems like the kind of place where if you blink you'll miss it," she said. Not that it was quite that dramatic, but it was what it was. "I grew up in a small town. I'd probably get hopelessly lost in anything much bigger than this," she admitted. "It's good for walking the dog though. Exploring with a canine companion roughly your height when he sits down ... I'm meeting all kinds of people that way," she added with a laugh.
"Massage therapy," she replied. "I'm working at the day spa for the time being, but figure I'll eventually branch back out on my own. I'd started kind of my own side thing back home and it bloomed because hey, who wouldn't rather have a massage in their own home?" That was her theory, anyway; it always seemed so tedious to get dressed again and drive somewhere once she was relaxed. Plenty of people came in and bounced right back out though so clearly not everyone had the same mentality. But, she charged less than the spa, had her own things, and it worked well for her. It meant some odder hours, but it wasn't like she'd had much of a life there, and she didn't anticipate having much more of one here.
