Who: Greg & Sebastian What: Sunday post-crash blues chat idk Where: Greg's house, Overlook When: Sunday afternoon 10/15 Status: Complete - Part 2 Warning: Language
"Yeah, you better," Greg told him. "If my ass catches fire I'll be looking at you." He closed his eyes as he realized something, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. "Do you know how hard it's gonna be for me to not call you Ron? Redhead witchy family, I mean... Come on." Ugh, that meant he was a muggle, seriously uncool. "So when are we going on a witchy tour?" There was a game on Friday and he had no idea if everyone was going to make it or what was going down. If his arm wasn't better he'd be benched and that would suck, he preferred being on the field than sitting by and watching the game.
Sebastian snickered and shook his head, but decided not to tell Greg that fire was not Ophelia’s thing. He firmly believed that was her secret to tell. He wouldn’t have even said she was a witch too if he hadn’t felt so bad about keeping his own secret from Greg to begin with. “No. Not the same,” he pointed out, shaking a finger at Greg. “They’re wizards, not witches, and they need wands, and if you’re gonna go there, at least let me be Fred or George.” Whichever one doesn’t die, he thought. They were cool. Ron could be an ass from time to time. “I was thinking Saturday, since we’ll be at the game Friday. Maybe we could all grab dinner first? I dunno.” He wasn’t usually the one to orchestrate group events, but he needed to be the one to do it in this case.
Greg rolled his eyes and relented with a "Sure, you can be a Weasley twin." He didn't think Sebastian had enough pranks in him to qualify for the role, but he wasn't about to argue that right now. Not when he'd so clearly be a muggle in that universe. "I say we just eat at home and then meet up, I don't think I'll be up for a while on Saturday." He was going to make up for the lack of drinking this weekend, damn it, and that meant allocating Saturday time to a hangover.
“We could, but I kinda wanna walk the festival a bit.” Sebastian would need to check, but he thought the tours started in the evening and he wanted to see Hunter before that. Or way after that. A thought occurred to him and he bit his lip, trying to keep his smile in check. “My parents are away this weekend. They leave Friday and don’t get back till Tuesday.” He didn’t throw big parties at his house, but little ones, with just friends… that could be fun.
Greg grinned. "And when the cat's away-" he said with some amusement. He knew from experience that Sebastian wasn't about to throw a huge ass party but being home alone with no parents around was always fun, no matter what the occasion. "It's up to you, dude. You think Ophelia won't give you grief about it?" As long as she didn't rat him out, Greg thought, and he doubted she would. "You gonna bribe her to leave the house or something?"
“Right?” Sebastian grinned. He never threw the kind of parties Jules threw, but he could get away with a small group of friends. Really small if he wanted to be able to be with Hunter at it. But it would give them all a place to go and hangout after the tour, or just hangout if they didn’t want to go, and he felt like they could all use a little fun. He scrunched up his face at mention of his sister, realizing that could be the snag in his plan. “She’ll give me grief, but she’s never told on me before. But… I probably need to tell her about Hunter before she sees us together.” Definitely not something he was looking forward to. “Maybe she’ll make it easy on me and spend the night with a friend.” Then he wouldn’t have to worry about it.
"Does she just not like parties?" Greg sighed but he supposed it was different when it was your big brother hosting the party. Maybe Ophelia was a crazy party animal when she was with her own friends where she could let loose without big brother watching - literally. He somehow doubted it but who knew, he was apparently really bad at reading people as he'd just found out with his best friend. "Bribe her to go away, there must be something she's dying to have."
“I’m sure she does. But not necessarily with me and my friends,” Sebastian said. They ran in completely different social circles, so it wasn’t that much of a surprise. And it didn’t help that some of the people in his were absolute jerks. But those wouldn’t be the people he’d have over. In fact, they were looking at just a handful, so maybe he shouldn’t try and chase her off. “Dude, I don’t have that kind of cash. I need what I’ve got for the tour and extra booze. I can’t afford to buy her off.”
"What does she want?" Greg asked with an incredulous laugh. "A yacht? I mean shit, how much would it take? I'll get the booze, you buy her off, deal?" He was better off financially than Sebastian was and it had nothing to do with their families and their financial status. Sebastian's parents were just stricter and Sebastian had to earn his allowance. Greg's mom just kind of threw money at him at random so he always had something stashed away. All over the place.
“Okay, okay, I’ll see what I can do,” Sebastian laughed. Hopefully it wouldn’t come to buying her something, but he’d do his best. “Get me vanilla vodka and something to go in cherry jello shots. Maybe cherry vodka? I don’t know. And whatever you want, obviously.” He didn’t really know what the girls drank, but vanilla vodka and coke tasted good, so he imagined that would go over well. “Sound good?”
"I'll just get everything I can get my hands on," Greg replied with a chuckle though he made a mental note of Sebastian's requests. "So who are you inviting? I figure it's not gonna be a huge party." Especially if Sebastian wanted to be able to relax and hang with his new boyfriend, in that case it'd be the smallest party in the history of parties.
“Thanks,” Sebastian grinned. He was really hoping his new friends were up for a party, otherwise he and Greg were going to get so wasted. “Hunter, Mak, probably Sabrina. Um… I’d say Jules, but I think she’d want to bring Jasper and the crowd has suddenly gotten really weird. So it might just be the five of us?” He cringed. “Which might not be all that fun for you. So let me know if you wanna bail and I can pay you for the booze.”
Greg scoffed. "Don't be stupid," he muttered. "I don't think there's anything else going on, everyone's gearing up for Halloween. It sounds like it could be a chill drunken night, yanno?" Not his usual crowd but branching out could be fun. If not he'd just take over Sebastian's games and get wasted while shooting up some monsters. "You think about inviting Jules?"
Sebastian was quiet for a moment as he thought about it, then eventually took a deep breath. “I think… if I want to get to know Hunter’s friends better, that it would be better not to. Like… I love her and all, but… Jules and Jasper are something to work up to, not a couple to start with… if that makes sense.” He could just see everyone being so uncomfortable that no one had any fun and that was definitely not his goal.
Greg winced a little because yeah, he hadn't thought of the possibility that Jules might bring Jasper. He didn't have anything against the guy but he didn't know him at all save for his reputation. Was he homophobic? Would he bring trouble? Fucked if Greg knew, Sebastian probably didn't know either. He had a feeling Jules would keep him in check if she brought him but it could be awkward. "Yeah, good thinking," he said and laughed. "Oh man, I still can't believe Jules is dating Jasper Lucas. He's been at her parties, I just never really thought about it before, he was just there. Everyone was there."
“I know, right? I totally didn’t see that coming,” Sebastian said, shaking his head a little. “You know she started dating him because of me?” Dating was a strong word. From what Jules had said, that was only a recent thing. But he was trying to be careful with what he said since he probably shouldn’t be saying anything at all. He wasn’t sure what she was telling people, if the story was that this was recent or if everyone knew they’d been getting it on since the summer.
"Why?" Greg asked with a little frown. "Was it like she was way mad at you so she decided to find someone who's the total opposite of you?" That sounded dumb and he laughed. "No but seriously, how does that have anything to do with you?" Other than Jasper being a rebound, but anyone could be a rebound and Jules had plenty of guys to pick from.
“I think it was more like, she was really horny and I wouldn’t put out,” Sebastian said with a little laugh. “She was looking to get laid. I kinda think Jasper was just in the right place at the right time.” And things were good enough that they kept at it until it evolved into something else. Sebastian could see how that might happen, even if it wasn’t at all what he wanted for himself.
"You prude," Greg teased before adding, "Well lucky him then. I'd say he owes you a drink for setting him up with a hot cheerleader, I doubt he'd have gotten near her if she hadn't been all frustrated." He made a mental note of trying to get to know Jasper a bit, if only to figure out what he was all about since he was dating Greg's friend and all. "Have you ever talked to the guy?"
“I’m really not. She just doesn’t turn me on,” Sebastian grinned. “Which isn’t her fault at all. She just didn’t know that. And don’t you dare say a word of this to her, I probably wasn’t supposed to tell you, but I can’t keep my mouth shut around you.” If he was going to gossip to anyone, it was Greg. Jules already knew that, but he still worried about betraying her confidences. “Not really. I think you’re probably right in saying he’s the exact opposite of me, but I don’t know. The only time I’ve really been face to face with him was when he asked to cut in at Homecoming.”
"God, I can't wait for high school to be over," Greg sighed. He was perfectly happy to be there for now but some of the social politics were so dumb. "I legit heard one of the cheerleaders say that you and Jules should get back together because she should be dating a footballer. Great basis for a relationship, right?"
“Honestly? I’m not sure why anyone else cares who we’re dating,” Sebastian sighed. “There’s no written rule that says football players have to date cheerleaders. It’s bullshit. But, I mean, we fell into it, didn’t we? Did you know my mom asks if I’m getting back together with Jules at least once a week?” Why did it matter to much to anyone else? That’s what he didn’t understand.
Greg nodded in agreement. "I was just talking to Ruby about that shit, about how we just obey these stereotypes and do what we think we're supposed to do. Fuck that noise, I'm out." He paused for a few seconds, pursing his lips before deciding to go on. "You know I haven't had feelings for any of my girlfriends? Beyond like yeah the sex is good and I don't hate hanging out with her?"
“You guys had, like, a serious conversation then,” Sebastian said, a little surprised. Ruby had always seemed nice enough, but she definitely wasn’t trying to manage anyone’s expectations. He’d always been impressed with her for doing it, even if it did rub some people the wrong way. Probably because she was vocal about it? He didn’t know. He knew she wasn’t Jules’ favorite person, that was for sure. “Really?” he asked. “Like, you haven’t had a serious crush on any of ‘em? Why do you keep dating them?”
This was the problem with admitting things, the whole having to explain it when Greg barely understood it himself. He shrugged and mumbled something that sounded vaguely like 'I don't know'. "I guess just... They're hot and I was horny and they wanted it." He groaned and shrugged again. "The girls I did like just didn't like me back, you know? Maybe I'm some kind of a masochist or something. Only go for girls who hate me."
“Hey, I can’t judge, remember?” Sebastian said, poking at Greg when he looked a little worried about his own admission. As someone who’d dated at least a half dozen girls while in the closet, he knew how easy it was to do things that were easy and expected. And even just because they felt good. “So how about we both stop dating girls we’re not really interested in,” he teased. “You’re not a masochist. Not unless you like being spanked or something. Just… maybe try not to jump in bed with someone unless you’re excited about seeing them outside of it, you know?”
"Yeah, that's what I'm doing now," Greg sighed. "Giving myself blue balls. It's just not worth the drama, you know? Hanging out with some chick who's really boring when she's not giving you head." He fell quiet and looked vaguely annoyed for a moment. "Wow, I sound like a dick. But you know what I mean, right?"
“I wouldn’t know at all what that’s like,” Sebastian said, rolling his eyes. He wasn’t really annoyed, but he tended to find himself in almost the exact opposite situation. He’d liked the girls he’d dated, he just wasn’t interested in anything more than kissing and cuddling with them. Hunter was a completely different story, but also super new, and even then he’d been okay with the pace. He wanted more for sure, thought about it probably more than was healthy, but it wasn’t all that he wanted. “Speaking as the only virgin on the football team, I promise you won’t die of blue balls. You’re only a dick if you keep dating girls just to sleep with them. So, you know, date your hand until then.”
"I don't keep dating girls just to sleep with them," Greg said just a smidge defensively. "I mean I try to hang out with them and get to know them but oh my god. The girls I'm most interested in just don't like me so I feel like I'm just this vapid-chick magnet." What did that say about him? He did not want to know. "And then they're like Oh my god, why are you painting those gross little statues?" He mimicked Heather's voice, though it came nowhere close in his deep voice. "And just bitch, what? Do I give you shit about your stupid nail polish mega fetish? Nu-uh!"
“Who are the girls you’re interested in that don’t like you? Everyone likes you. You’re Greg!” Sebastian knew it didn’t work like that, that girls weren’t attracted to every guy they liked as a person, but he couldn’t think of anyone that outright disliked Greg. Sure, he could be a bit much, but that was part of what made him wonderful. “Dude, not all girls are Heather. Anyone that makes you feel bad about your interests isn’t worth your time.” They didn’t have to share them, but they shouldn’t be putting them down. Greg didn’t need that shit in his life. “You know, it could just be high school girls. Maybe you need someone more mature.”
"A cougar, rawr," Greg joked then shook his head. "I'll just get cozy with my hand until college. I think I'm just picky too, I don't know. Like I'll see a girl and be like hmm yeah but then lose interest." He arched a brow at Sebastian and added, somewhat cheekily, "I'm not gay though, sorry bro, not joining that club. Being an ally is enough for me." A part of him wished he was at least bi. He and Sebastian had always had always shared secrets and such (or so he'd thought!) and talking about girls - or guys - was never going to be a real part of that now. It kinda sucked.
“I know you’re not,” Sebastian snickered. “You like pussy way too much.” It was a word that always felt foreign on his tongue, dirty in a way that didn’t appeal to him. He’d always wondered if that was because he was gay, since there were plenty of other crude words that didn’t bother him at all. “You’ll find a girl that’ll keep you interested eventually. Ruby’s probably right, though. You need to break away from the cheerleader pool.” That was probably a huge part of the problem. Most of those girls operated with some kind of hive mind, all thinking and doing the same thing all the time.
Greg couldn't even begin to explain why it felt like he needed to go along when a hot girl showed interest in him. He was confident and pretty sure of himself and yet there was something kind of terrifying about turning a girl down, like it said something about his manhood or something. He nodded along though because he agreed. "Maybe I'll just pretend to be gay for a while," he said and smirked at Sebastian. "Get the girls off my back and you can gauge your parents reaction."
“Dude,” Sebastian said, brows raising. He didn’t even know how to take that. It left him speechless before he eventually began to laugh and shake his head. “Oh my god, no. That’s like-- what does that even mean to you? Pretend to be gay?” He didn’t think he could handle it if Greg started talking about guys like he was attracted to them, or, god forbid, talking about sex. He was pretty sure he’d either burst out laughing or his head would explode.
"I'll pretend to be gay," Greg said with a shrug. "I'll pretend to date Hunter and then sneak him over to you." He couldn't keep a straight face for long even if he tried, Sebastian's laughter was contagious and while it was a brilliant idea it was also somehow really stupid at the same time. "C'mon though, I'd make an awesome gay guy, I've watched Drag Race with mom, I've got a lot of those things down." He snapped his fingers for show then laughed again. "No wonder I didn't know you were gay, you've got none of those quirks going on for you."
“No. I refuse to watch you pretend to date my boyfriend,” Sebastian continued to laugh, not even noticing that he’d said the label aloud. “I think I’m doing a decent job of sneaking around so far. It complicates things if there’s some elaborate lie that we all have to work with.” He was pretty sure the only reason he’d been able to manage it up till recently was because no one knew but himself. It was definitely becoming more complicated now that he was dating Hunter, but he refused to let that stop him. “You think I can’t turn on that sass if I want to?” he asked, giving Greg a look that was pure attitude.
"No, girlfriend, I don't think you can," Greg snapped back with plenty of attitude himself. It was a stereotype, sure, but it made Sebastian laugh so it was all good. His BFF needed to laugh more, he'd been stressed with the most stupidly messed up shit lately. "You're gonna have to prove yourself to me or we'll revoke your gay card, boyfriend or not."
“Bitch, you don’t even know what you’re asking,” Sebastian smirked, then gave Greg a little kick. “I refuse to be a stereotype. I’m pretty sure my love of cock is enough to keep my gay card, thank you very much, but if you want me to break out the glitter, rainbows, and showtunes, just tell me. You can have your own special show.” He was joking, but only in part, since all of those were things he could easily manage. It was doing it for Greg, sober, that was the problem.
"You broke out the glitter, rainbows and showtunes long before you came out," Greg teased and gave a weirdly delighted snicker at the kick. "I should have seen it coming miles away, but then I'm the same." At least when it came to showtunes. He was an unapologetic dork sometimes and so was Sebastian.
“Just the showtunes! I’ve been very careful about my love of glitter,” Sebastian said with a sage nod, except he kept laughing. Damn, it felt good to laugh. “Don’t beat yourself up. I made a point of not talking about things I thought would give me away. Not just to you, but to anyone,” he said with a softer smile. “It’s nice to not worry about it now.”
"Yeah, I bet," Greg replied, his attitude softening too. He still felt a little peeved that Sebastian hadn't told him sooner but in a way he understood and at least he'd told him in the end and Greg hadn't had to find out by accident. That would have hurt more than being told late ever would have. "If I had suspected you were gay I would have been wondering 'bout myself too and yanno, no doubts here."
“Not even a little bit curious?” Sebastian asked, really just teasing. He’d never seen any signs that Greg would even be the slightest bit into a guy. Liking musicals really wasn’t as much an indicator as people thought it was. He really believed that that was just straight guys buying into the idea that they weren’t supposed to like certain things.
"You know what?" Greg said cheerfully. "I honestly don't know. I've never been attracted to a dude, but then I'm really picky about girls so maybe I'm just super picky but also bi." He knew he wasn't and he knew Sebastian knew it too. As Sebastian had so eloquently put it, he loved cock whereas Greg did not.
“Have you ever focused on the guy while watching porn?” Sebastian asked, since he felt like that was the best way to tell. He hadn’t noticed it at first, when he was younger, since he was capable of getting off to straight porn himself. The difference was that he could care less about the girls. “Or ever watched the girls and wanted to be her instead of do her?”
That was a great way to gauge it and Greg laughed again. "I think we both know I'm straight," he said and wrinkled his nose in amusement. "The only times I've watched the dude was when I was going 'Fuck I wish I had that kinda abs' or something. Or like 'whoa what's wrong with that dude's dick'."
“Yep,” Sebastian grinned. He’d had no doubts, but didn’t mind proving it. It was fun seeing the expression on Greg’s face. “I think that’s pretty normal. Everyone seems to have perfect bodies in porn. Though I really wonder what you’re watching if something looks wrong with some dude’s dick. Like…?” Sebastian shook his head. He really shouldn’t ask.
"I'm joking, bro," Greg chuckled. "Actually I don't watch that much porn," he said then and realized that they rarely if ever talked about sex. Maybe that should have been the dead giveaway but he'd never really thought about it before. "When I do there aren't that many dicks involved. Zero, actually."
“That’s because you have a sex life,” Sebastian muttered, his cheeks turning red. He didn’t watch a ton, but it was the primary source of the action he’d been getting up till now. Maybe that would change, a thought that made him blush harder, until his face became a giant question mark. “Zero?” he asked, feeling a bit slow. “You watch all lesbians or something?” Talk about something he had zero interest in.
"Solo, mostly," Greg said with a shrug. "No hairy butts getting in the way and it's so hard to find good porn anyway, like it's full of skanks who look and sound so fake." He laughed when he looked at Sebastian again. "Man, you're blushing like whoa. What do you watch, anyway? You got weird kinks going on? That why you're all flustered?"
Sebastian scrunched up his face, his interest in hairy butts probably up there with Greg’s, but he wasn’t sure he needed to go into detail about the kind of butts he did like, especially if that got him thinking about Hunter’s, which he imagined was cute and round and tight and oh my god he needed to stop. “No! No weird kinks. I don’t think. I mean, I watch mostly-- mostly twinks, I guess. Nothing super hardcore, it’s just…” He took a deep breath, trying not to think too much about Hunter in any of those situations, or how embarrassing it was to discuss porn preferences. But then answering the question wasn’t much easier. He could talk a big game, throw things out there about loving cock when he was feeling ballsy, but really the only one he had experience with was his own. “I don’t know what I’m doing, you know? I’m sure there’s some basic stuff that I’m sure I can manage, but-- but what if he doesn’t like it? Or I, like, choke? Or...How did you know what you were doing with a girl before you had ever been with one?”
Greg laughed at that question because he had a good reason to. "First time with a girl I didn't know what the hell I was doing," he said and he'd had enough sex since then that it wasn't mortifying anymore. “She straight up told me 'wow, you suck at this', which was really annoying at the time, but turned out it was a good thing 'cause she showed me the ropes. Bossy bitch." He chuckled again, the words said with affection. "But really? I just find girls like different things, so I'm guessing guys do too. Just fucking ask if you're not sure, if he likes you he'll tell you what to do." He nodded slowly to himself then glanced at Sebastian again, pretty sure his friend was about to catch fire from embarrassment. "Go in peace, young padawan."
“But I don’t want to suck at it,” Sebastian laughed, his face flaming. “I think maybe the only thing I have going for me is he doesn’t have much experience either, so maybe he won’t have much to compare me to.” That definitely made things a little less intimidating, like maybe Hunter would be a little more forgiving since they were both figuring it out. He realized that he probably shouldn’t just assume there’d be sex at some point, except for the part where he really fucking hoped there would be. Despite how worried he was, he seriously liked Hunter and wanted to see what it would be like to let things go there. Grabbing a pillow on the couch, he swatted Greg with it with a grin. “Asshole.”
Greg laughed again, ducking the pillow. "It's like football. You are going to suck at it unless you practice and that's the last of my awesome advice you're getting for free." This was nice, he decided. Sex had never been one of the many things they talked about and now he knew why so that all made sense. He had simply thought that Sebastian was a bit of a prude, but as it turned out they just weren't discussing what he was really interested in. "If he's not experienced either you might have to step up and speak up, yo. Be like my first sex partner and talk. Just try not to burst into flames while you're at it."
“Great. We’ll practice then. And even if we’re good at it, we’ll practice, because you’ve got to keep your game up, right?” Sebastian laughed. “That’s all good. I’m not gonna pay you for things you don’t know anyways.” Some things he’d be better off asking Jules, but most of them he’d just have to figure out on his own. With Hunter, hopefully. It made him feel all warm and fuzzy and nervous and excited, even if he was getting ahead of himself. “I can talk. I think. We’ll see. We haven’t really gotten there. And I’m probably jumping the gun. But we’ll see.”
"Uh, okay?" Greg said with a somewhat baffled expression. "I don't think you are, I mean, in what universe would your gay boyfriend not want to have sex with you. You probably would have done it already if he didn't get possessed by a demon while you got in a bus crash." Talk about a weird night - or a weird life, really. "So now we know demons are major cockblocks."
“I don’t think he wouldn’t want to, but maybe it’s fast? Is it fast? How fast is too fast?” Sebastian said, trying not to stress. He heard girls complain about it all the time, that guys were looking for sex too early in the relationship, expecting it by the third date, and he didn’t want to be that guy. But Hunter wasn’t a girl. And it wasn’t like he was expecting sex sex. Just maybe… level one sex? God, he was such a dork. “Yes,” he nodded. “Demons are major cockblocks.”
Greg listened, his expression growing increasingly more baffled. "Are you for real right now?" he said with a small grin. "I mean... Shit. You're overthinking and fretting like crazy and you just gotta stop, dude. Saturday we're all hanging out together, I'm bringing booze, you're getting at least a little tipsy and you'll relax enough to either ask him or fuck him." He shrugged. "Alcohol, dude. Your best friend."
“Yeah, maybe,” Sebastian grinned, biting his bottom lip as he ran his hand up into his hair. “I doubt it’ll go that far. I mean, that’s… that’s kind of a big deal, but… maybe I should have stuff, just in case.” He didn’t want to be totally unprepared for the possibility. “You gotta make sure I don’t get sloppy drunk, okay? Tipsy is fine, but I can’t get completely wasted.”
"Have stuff?" Greg said curiously. "What, like condoms? Oh... Oh!" He rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Wow okay, you mean lube? Fuck. You're all in huh?" He laughed just a touch awkwardly since he hadn't really been thinking about the details of what the sex meant until now. "Yeah, I wish I could give you advice there, but I've never done anal. Not for lack of wanting to try or anything, just haven't met any girls into that. Are you a..." He trailed off. "Do you like to do the fucking?" Did he want to know? Yes and no, they were best friends, girls talked about shit like that in vivid detail so why not?
“I don’t know!” Sebastian shrugged, his voice hitching to a higher pitch. “You said fuck him. That’s-- that’s what I would need. But--but I’m ninety-nine percent sure I’m not ready for that. Which is okay, because-- because there’s tons of things we can do before we get there.” It was weird knowing that it was something he both wanted and was terrified of. He knew without going there that it was so much more intimate than a handjob. And that as much as he trusted Hunter, he just wasn’t sure. At Greg’s question, Sebastian groaned and flopped over, hiding his furiously blushing face with his hands. “I don’t know. Both? I like--” He suddenly shook his head. Nope, couldn’t go there. “I think I could like it both ways.”
"Fair enough, dude," Greg chuckled. "I just meant fucking in general though, that includes like blowjobs and stuff. You don't have to jump to actual fucking before you're ready. It's not like with girls, I mean... It seems like a lot of work." He laughed again and groaned softly. "I don't know what I'm talking about, man. You just have fun, relax, do you, do him, don't worry so much."
“Sorry, sorry. Literal Bash is literal,” Sebastian said, rolling his eyes at himself. Fucking, to him, meant something specific. Mostly because he wasn’t thrilled about using the word anal. It was a stupid hang-up considering his interest in it. It was just a word. “That makes two of us,” he smiled, his face still hot. “But, like, thanks anyways. It’s all in my head and you know how I worry, but I didn’t wanna squick you out or anything.”
"I don't think you could squick me if you tried," Greg said and while it wasn't a challenge it certainly sounded like one. Luckily he didn't think Sebastian was the type to try to prove him wrong on that. "I'm unsquickable and if you think the gay stuff is gonna squick me then, dude." He shook his head. "Just... dude. No." He smiled again though he'd managed to look serious for a moment as if he was really disappointed in Sebastian for even thinking that.
“We’ll see then,” Sebastian laughed. He definitely wasn’t going to try, but he had the feeling he’d know if he touched on something that made Greg uncomfortable. He was pleased that nothing had so far though. It was always easier when he could actually talk to his best friend. He hugged the pillow to his chest. “I’m, like, ridiculously excited about Saturday night and I haven’t even asked him.”
"Hey, it's gonna be fun," Greg told him so of course he could be excited about it. Greg just hoped for his sake that Hunter would actually come. He had a feeling that if he didn't, the party would either suck or get cancelled. No pressure, Barrett! "Ugh, but so far away. I don't wanna go to school tomorrow." He let his head fall back and gave an exaggerated groan. "Why can't weekends just be five days long and school two days?"
“I know, right?” Sebastian said, stretching his legs out, feet up on the coffee table again. “We’d be in school forever though, if that was the case.” He knew it was unreasonable, but he did wish the weekends were a little longer. It felt like Saturday was years away instead of six days. “You called me over here to entertain you, right? What’d you wanna do?”
"You're doing a good job, compadre," Greg said. "I can't watch TV for long or my head hurts, I can't paint, I was on my way to listen to a podcast or something when you showed, but you know I don't like just listening to stuff and not doing anything. It drives me nuts." Company was better, chatting and cracking jokes. They could do that for hours.
“Gracias,” Sebastian snickered. “Why don’t we put on that trivia podcast?” That way they could still lay around and talk, but still had something to fill the occasional silence without putting on the tv or video games. Plus, Sebastian liked the random bits of knowledge he picked up from it. “You know, the one with Jonathan, Chris, and Carmella.”
"Ooh!" Greg exclaimed because that was a damn good idea. "You're a fucking genius, you're gonna kick my ass in this." He grabbed his phone and turned off the music to look up the podcast. "Or maybe not since you too got a concussion. I still have one more than you though." He grinned. "Just any episode or the latest one?"
“Are we counting concussions?” Sebastian asked with a little laugh. He liked this podcast because it wasn’t so much about book smarts or street smarts. It was all kinds of trivia. Some times he did well, while other times he bombed completely. “Um… There’s a special Harry Potter one. Let’s do that one, in honor of me not being a wizard,” he grinned.
"That feels a bit like giving you the win," Greg chuckled. "But I'll go with it this once 'cause you've had a hard weekend." He'd had a hard weekend too but he wasn't dating someone who'd been possessed by a demon so he guessed Sebastian won that round. It didn't take him long to find the episode Sebastian had been talking about and he put it on, raising the volume on the bluetooth speakers so they could hear it all properly and then got more comfortable. "Game's on."
