"It looks occupied even without the horses," Jade said. He felt like people would leave the place alone now that there was someone living there, especially once word got around. He had no interest in poking around like they'd done when the place hadn't been all that habitable, at least.
"Yeah, if he's okay with that," he said when asked if he wanted to say hi to the horse. His name was short for Jaden, and it had originated from his mom calling him either J or Jade when he'd been small. He liked it. To him, Jaden sounded kind of hipster, like he might be rocking a man bun and pierced ears. He got close to where the horse was and hesitated at the fence, waiting for Jaime to direct him. Did horses bite? He definitely didn't want to risk that.
