She nodded, and wondered if there was going to be some sort of threat of trespass. Hopefully not, but maybe she'd get a couple of dogs anyway. Maybe some trained Dobermans or something like that. Or motion sensor lights; maybe she'd start there. Maybe it wasn't even going to be a big deal, but being alone in a strange place, better safe than sorry, right? "Well, hopefully word gets around that its occupied now," Jaime replied with a slight grin.
Her brows lifted a little when the guy introduced himself, and she tried not to look as amused as she was. Well, maybe it was something other than a gemstone, or short for something, or it was one of those cool popular names that she was unaware of because she didn't have kids. And probably never would. "Well, good to meet you," she said. "You want to go say hi to him so he stops watching you like you're going to eat him?"
Even as she asked, she ducked between the slats of the fence where she was, heading toward the gelding. If nothing else, she could try to direct his attention elsewhere.
