"Yeah," she agreed. "Pretty sure that's what I remember google saying when we were looking at things like that," she replied. She guessed she'd go back to google later and see what it recommended for barn guards and if she could buy some grown-up ones that came with a trainer. It wasn't like money was exactly an issue right now. She knew there was a place that had trained Shepherds, but she didn't think that was what she was after for this.
But she'd make some calls after she had an idea of where to go with it. "They're smart," she said with a little shrug. "And I think Reggie's big enough they wouldn't bother him much." Belle was reasonably sized as well, though a little shorter and more slender than Reggie - but still bigger than a standard stock horse.
She chuckled. "Well, that'd be a criteria before I brought them in. I'm sure there's plenty of ... dogs that do well around horses. I mean, ranches have working dogs and I'm sure they've got some that are there for protection and not just keeping the sheep in line." She sighed. "I'm sure my dad would feel better if I had some, too." Maybe she'd look into gun classes, though she at least had her bow. She could go all Katniss Everdeen on their asses.
Well, she'd figure it out. Shaking her head, she headed back out to the truck to see about wrestling her massage table out of the truck now that it had been unburied.
