Jade was a quick worker, and he tried to be careful, not putting anything down too hard or carelessly; nobody would want all their stuff broken, and he didn't know if she'd padded the items with newspaper or whatever. He'd helped a friend's family load a moving truck once and it had looked like they'd tossed everything into boxes without much regard to if it was breakable or not.
Before long he was sweating, and if Jaime hadn't been a near stranger he might have whipped his t-shirt off, but he didn't feel comfortable doing that. Who knew, she might not be comfortable with it either. True, he was a kid, but he was bigger than she was. It was possible that he watched too much true crime online and that he also worried a lot.
"You have a lot of stuff," he said finally once the truck was half unloaded.
