"Indeed I am," Grady said, walking up to her and offering his hand to shake, "Nice to meet you." He knew he was being very formal. He could see that she was drifting. He frowned. What was she thinking about?
"That's okay," Grady said, "Are you thinking about anything in particular? Like, I know I'm a stranger and maybe you are regretting inviting me in? If you want to know anything more before I take another step, I understand."
Grady smiled at her, "Who kids when it comes to shots? And we'll see about staying." He didn't want to make things weird since they were technically strangers.
