Melody loved the snow! She always had and probably always would. It just never got old. She'd already taken a trip to the park on her day off (while Hope was in daycare) and finally started painting again. It felt like ages since she'd last done that and it had felt amazing just to sit there and try and capture the landscape around her. It was like a switch had been turned on inside her again and it felt great.
So she was in a really good mood when she made her way to the address on the invitation she'd received. She also hadn't gone out a whole lot in the last couple of...well, years actually. So this was really nice! She was cuddled into a tick, brightly yellow coat, dressed in skinny jeans and a nice cashmere sweater that had been a gift quite a few years ago and that she didn't get to wear as often as she liked. Her cute winter boots didn't have much of a heel, though, she was way too clumsy for heels.
She was holding a bottle of wine, not cheap, but naturally not the most expensive one to be found in town. But a decent wine still. It would've felt really rude not to bring anything. Once she got to the place, she rang the doorbell, waiting with a smile for someone to come get it.
