Kalli blinked. Had he seriously just said that? She waited for the rest of what he had to say to finish before interjecting. She could be a bitch, but she wasn't that much of one. When he finished, she rolled her eyes. So he was suggesting he could be interested in her but wasn't really? What sense did that make? "Well, no," she answered him simply, "that thought never crossed my mind, nor will it."
"Good," she stated simply when he said that he wasn't taking her attitude as a personal attack. It wasn't though she really cared what he thought. She actually didn't care what anyone thought. Still, he shouldn't think it was when she'd barely even spoken to him before.
Hearing his last question, she gave him a cynical expression. "Why do you want to know?" she answered him. After work, she was going home to curl up in her living room and read a book. It was what she did after work every night and tonight would be no different, unless he gave her a good enough reason to do something else, but that remained to be seen.
