Kalli raised an eyebrow when he asked what her problem was. What made him think she wasn't always like that? She was, but there was something bothering her as well. She wasn't about to tell him that, though. She didn't know him--or wasn't sure where exactly she knew him from--and no one knew she even had a brother. After Ewan's little discovery, they decided to keep things quiet for the time being. She figured this was because the former Ravenclaw didn't want people knowing that he was descended from dark wizards. "My problem is people who make assumptions," she explained to him. "I have a low tolerance for people."
It was true. Kalli had always had a low tolerance for people. It came from having to raise herself in an orphanage. She'd never gotten close to the other kids in hopes of being adopted one day. When she never was, she became more calloused. By the time she was eleven, she'd turned into a bitch. She could have gotten close to the students at school, but she hadn't. Ewan had been her best and closest friend and while the headmaster had been a sort of mentor to her, she was still hesitant to go to him for anything. She was hesitant to rely on anyone. This included Ewan.
When he mentioned quidditch, she thought back to her Hogwarts days and who she knew from quidditch. Her brain automatically considered her own team first, but when he didn't ring any bells, she thought of Gryffindor. As they were Slytherins biggest rivals, they were the only other team that might have made an impression on her. That was when it hit where she knew him from. "Aras Bradley," she said, mocking his realization in his tone when he said her name. "Did you expect anything different?"
