Summary: Kalinda and Riviera do some plotting but get interrupted
Completion: In-Progress
Kalinda leaned across the table toward her sister as they talked about what they were going to do on the last day of school. So far, they had been unable to come up with anything good enough. Granted, whatever they did had to keep them from getting expelled, they still had to return the next day, but if they did it the last day of school, it would give the professors time to forgive them before they returned. That was Riviera's logic, of course. Just in case that backfired--as Riviera's logic usually did--Kalinda would be prepared to get them out of trouble as always.
"It had to be good," Kalinda told her sister. Good, of course, but they still had to be able to top it each year. After all, they didn't want to use their best stuff all at once, they still had a lot of time there. "After all, it is ushering in summer."
Riviera pursed her lips together gently and nodded to her sister's words. Of course it had to be good, they were a legacy of pranksters in the school, taking after their own father and his dead brother. They had to be how they were for his memory. It sounded like a good enough excuse to her anyway. "I don't suppose leaving dungbombs in the Potions dungeon would be good enough, would it?" she asked, giving it some more thought.
Kalinda shook her head. "We did that middle of term last year," she reminded her. While she wouldn't mind doing it again, it wasn't a good enough end of year prank. "Maybe we need some help. Freddy's good with this, or Matthew? Rocky?" she asked, listing off a few of their friends. "What about the Black twins?"
Riviera shook her head quickly. "Just because we're young doesn't mean we need help from anyone. We can just make a bigger blast. Remember who we're related to," she pointed out.
Kalinda sighed softly and nodded. She really didn't get what was so wrong with asking for help. They pulled off a lot of pranks with Freddy over the years, but Riviera always wanted to do the end of the year thing alone. They never really did, anyway. They'd pull someone like Freddy or someone else in at the last minute, but Riviera was even more determined to do it alone this year. We were amateurs those years, was Riviera's explanation, we needed the guidance, but now we can handle it on our own. "Well do you have anything better than dungbombs?" she asked, raising her eyebrows.
"I will," Riviera answered. "I just need time to think about it. You think too."
