That was a novel idea, although the timing was nearly right; Cassius often found that after midnight, the quality of gossip decreased--although if enough liquor was on hand, occasionally the quantity increased as tongues loosened and began unguardedly to wag.
"And what of your side of the party?" Cassius asked. "I'm sure your fair ears catch more gossip and honey than mine. Do you have any interesting news to share?"
