"Indeed." Cassius led their hostess out onto the ballroom floor, where he paused to take the measure of the dance and ensure Mrs Linden's readiness before beginning the steps.
"Do you have plans for the victory gala already? You must. I can only imagine that this evening will pale in comparison, despite the magnificence here."
Cassius wondered whether or not he should make Mrs Linden wait or inquire, but it was her evening, and he saw no point in delaying the inevitable. "The Baroness Balmore and I have spoken of our options for investment, following our wedding. I should like to give you some good news, on such a happy occasion. If you would draft the proposal you mentioned at dinner and send it to the coven, I should look forward to reviewing it, and to entering into a mutually beneficial arrangement."
